I've been going here for about 20 years and have never had a bad experience. The course isn't a top ten by a long shot but the prices are right. Went in today to buy two buckets of range balls and a person who I assumed was an owner or manager refused my card and gave me two buckets of balls for free. He said I could pay him back some other time. I will.

There are pros and cons to Viking. The pros: its the cheapest course in the area without a doubt. When i first started golfing I went here all the time because it was cheap and could play a lot. The greens are always in good shape not overly hilly so you can make a bunch. Cons: there are some beat up holes that seem to never get right despite efforts to do so. Pace of play is glacial at times, especially weekends and some of the clientel doesn't believe in letting faster players play through. Catch it at the right time and you'll be ok

Terrible course, owner verbally harrassed my group and told us to skip holes so he can go home. Stalked my group and made the entire round uncomfortable. Course is in horrible condition. Spend your money at a different course where the staff treats the customer like a customer should be treated and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable golfing.

Decent course, but when we tried to go twilight golfing they told us we only had an hour left, when they sun wasn't going to set for another 3 hours, and they still wanted to charge is full price.

If I could give zero stars I would. The owner is a complete douche and it seems like he only has time for his "old cocky friends". I will never step foot out on the course again. Tom (the owner) actually came out to our groups cars and proceeded to yell at us because we were passing a coupon around. We all had our own book and had to show him before we could go play. I went there 3 times this summer, and the price changed every time. And when I asked him what the real price was he kind of laughed it off and then had a real demeaning attitude towards us. And when he did tell us what the price was it was a different price from what we paid. He runs a s**t business and I highly recommend that no one goes to the course. That is unless you like being treated like you are sub-human. The course is very poor as well. It's very bumpy and there is more weeds than grass. If you golf at night, plan on being very rudely being kicked off. There was still 45 minutes of light and he told us we needed to be done. Then when we were loading our stuff into our cars, he told us we needed to get out of the parking lot otherwise he'd be locking us in. And I understand people want to get home to see their families but when it's barely 8:15 and you're kicking us out, that's not right.

I will never be going to this course again. If you have beginners or people that are not professional golfers with you plan on being harassed by the old man on the golf cart saying you are going to slow. They said 18 holes should take 4 hours, we were done with 9 holes in 2 hours 15 minutes. With letting one group pass us and not holding people up more then anybody else we felt rushed and the beginners did not enjoy the experience! The course is poorly maintained and with the staff being as rude as they were I would not recommend this course there are better options in the area!

Best bang for your buck! Staff always do their best to accommodate everyone. Very friendly and good course. Highly recommended for beginner/novice golfers. Great environment.

Great for the price. It's not Bunker Hills, but at half the price, its better than half the quality (and my father was very happy with the senior rate). The sand traps are rough, but better than most of the surrounding courses. I thought the rolling and bumpy terrain that a few people have complained about made the course interesting and fun. Do be prepared with extra balls, you don't have to go far off line to end up in the wilderness or the drink. Greens are fast and will test your break reading skills. Looking forward to my next round.

We started at about 9am & had the pleasure of chatting with the cute little blonde gal working behind counter inside clubhouse! Gotta say one of the best front desk/ bartender/service hospitality girls I've met. I've been in the service industry long enough to recognize quality employees in this industry. Thanks for being you, don't change a thing!

Staff was very rude and not very accommodating in regards to the fact the group and myself are beginners. On top of the fact the course was in poor condition. Granted it's a cheaper course but there are much better optipns in the area. Such as falcons in stacy. Won't be visiting again.
