Course conditions were fantastic last time I played it. Have been there several times now and the course is always in great shape and great for all types of players. Staff is courteous and accommodating, a big thank you to the pro shop! I will certainly be back out there again.
Nice course kept in good shape. Several pin placements today we're much to close to the edge of the green.
Sept 15, 2018. Worst greens I have played on all year. I don't think they recut cups every morning. Fairways are burnt, also terrible. Still a good fun layout but not coming back and paying anywhere close to full price next time. Twilight for $32 is the only way to go at this course
Good food. Beautiful view.
The dinner was very good
A must go to
Good greens.
I worked at a private course for 7 years in the grounds crew. This course was fantastic.
Nice course. Good maintenance, course looks good. You need accuracy and distance. Worth to play.
They had really good Cocoanut shrimp and yummy chicken wings! Great service and a beautiful deck to eat on.
Really like this course. Some challenging shots, greens arent terrible to putt on.
Course is great and the staff are very professional and welcoming!
Good golf, good food, good service
Good golf good food and good staff
A nice course, but needs signage and better player- course communication. Left the course frustrated due to mixed signals.
Very nice course. Greens very nicely mowed, fairways in great shape, collers could be larger. I felt very welcomed by all employes. It was a great day
Experience was not good. Course and pro shop need to work on basic scheduling. Do not send groups off behind a tournament of eleven six somes. Really unbelievable experience at ridges. The pro shop was non responsive hard to believe they are in a service business. Even harder to believe is they reassured our two groups that time would not be an issue behind their six some tournament. I would suggest for the extra few minutes to head ten minutes south and play new prague country club instead. pro shop there is friendly/helpful and course is tree lined and challenging.
Great layout!
Well kept up.
Good service food was mediocie
Nice challenging layout. Friendly staff.
Just a very fun course to play.
Great golf course
Course looked beautiful from the 19th hole. We just stopped in for lunch. Sat out on the covered patio and had an adult beverage and appetizers.
Great place
Good experience ,nice people and a fun course.
One of the best public golf courses in the metro area. Well maintained and challenging yet playable layout. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Great course! Challenging but not too difficult to the point it is not fun. Beautiful scenery!
Fantastic layout that presents a challenge at every hole. My favorite course I've played while living in the twin cities for the last three years. Can't wait to come out again! Oh, and the food is delicious!
Very fun to play golf course! A lot of really neat holes where you get to hit a lot of different shots. Great value as well. Staff is wonderful.
Course is in great shape.
Terrific course with two parts to the course. Great value, course conditions were superb and very friendly staff.
Mother's Day Brunch was wonderful! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. Our three children did very well and the prices were reasonable. It's a little bit of a drive outside of town but worth it.
Delicious Easter brunch. Beautiful table settings.
Slow play, no rangers, lots of muddy bare spots.
Challenging course with more mature trees than a country course typically has.
Fantastic easily playable course
Great food! Great service!
Great course, a fun and unique track.
Very nice course and well maintained. It can challenge every level of player so pick your tee boxes for as much as you want to bite off. In the fall the colors are spectacular on and around the course. Food is good and Sunday's starting at 9 they have a breakfast buffet set up. Friendly and helpful staff. I enjoy it every time I play it.
We played golf on Sunday afternoon, Fathers Day, we have played there many times and love the track. Not sure if she was having a bad day or just does not have the personality in general to be in the service business but the beverage cart girl was not pleasant...AT ALL!! the twosome we got paired up with also commented on her less than favorable personality.
Beautiful room, but - we had 2 charity events there and they agreed to the pricing we needed. At the first event, they served stir fry. It was good, presentation was kind of bland and when we asked for soy sauce, they poured it in a square metal bowl with a ladle and we had to pass that around 4 tables. At the next event, they came in at 9:30pm to start cleaning up. They turned up the music, put beers on the bar, tore down tables and started vacuuming. The problem was that our event went until 10pm and we still had guests there who felt like they were being chased out. We had emailed the event manager to complain who told us we couldn't have the room for free anymore and needed to charge us $300. A few weeks later, we offered to pay $100 and 2 emails and a voice message later, the only thing we heard from the event manager was that she was working on it. We cancelled our next one and moved on.
Good food for a decent price (Sunday brunch)
Really nice course at a great price.
Beautiful Golf Course
Good value, good greens, good staff, good food. Variety of quality golf holes
Great Experience. Pro Shop and owner are very personal. One of the best courses south of the metro. Always in good condition. Can be a bit to walk. Great Variety in the holes. One of my Favorites.
Great course, great place of play!
Awesome
Great course and really good food.
We come visit from Arizona every year and this course is amazing! Lots of fun!
Already a slow round and they sent people off the back nine in between groups. Waited 10 min between every hole. No beverage cart over a holiday weekend. Front nine is fun, but back nine can only use driver on about two holes. Won't be going back.
Lot of variety in the golf holes. Greens are pretty firm. Clubhouse staff is nice but food is average.
Fun course, two very distinct experiences up on the hills and then down by the creek. Challenging and rewarding. Great food at the clubhouse
I THINK it may have been a fun course to play, except for the "NATS" forced us to only play 9 holes and call it done. I think also the course should have offered a lower fee to play because of the conditions as far as the 4th hole had a Temp. Green in the middle of the fairway, which was not all bad. Saved me 2 or 3 strokes. But the Nats were really bad. Maybe it was "is" the time of the year they come out. At least for mosquitos you can spray to keep them off, these, no way. We more than likely go back later and give it another go.
Buffet was great nice deck area
Great banquet food and service!
Its very funny
The course is in excellent shape.
Not worth the cost. The rates are what you'd expect at a nice course ($61 to ride 18) - about the same as The WIlds, Willingers, or Stonebrooke nearby. But Ridges had significant amounts of ground under repair and the greens were littered with ball marks. The layout is ok, but they start both 9's with a par 5 which is odd. The back has three par 5's and three par 3's which differs from the norm as well. If they dropped the price by $10-20 or maintained it better I could see it being a 4 or 4.5/5. As is, with their rates and no memberships or specials offered, a 3 is being generous.
Great value.
Good food, nice place to have a reception but a bit pricey.
I had my best golfing experience of the season today at this course. The course was in pristine shape in my opinion. The greens played true and fast. Fortunately I can’t review the condition of the bunkers but they look nice and soft. I hope to play this course again real soon.
Excellent course. Prices were ok. There was a lot of variety, and the existence of senior tees made a big difference on some of the more difficult holes.
Golf course in great shape! Pace of play very good, 3:45 to play 18 holes. Food was good, and the adult beverages cold! Great staff all around! Great Senior rate! Highly reccomend!
Beautiful golf course! Definitely some climbs in there but loved it! Well groomed!
Great course, awesome layout that challenges you. It is a must play if you have to pick a course in the area.
Great golf course for the money. Fun and challenging.
Great Happy Hour!
Customer service public style. Attending the 2A Minnesota State Championships and the staff is as good as any RITZ. Go and play this facility.
Great Easter buffet! Delicious food and almost too much to choose from.
Great value for this layout. I like this course more than courses that run $10-$20 more.
I was playing a round of golf here and hit a shot near a tree on hole 10. Due to the neglection of workers to weedwhip around trees, the shot was unplayable. Poor customer service.
It's a fun and challenging course. The clubhouse is nice for fancy events.
Easily my favorite course in the Twin Cities area. Great design and a great deal. Always in good shape
Good price performer. Staff are ALWAYS cordual.
Sort of so-so
Nice course.
Very nice look.
Course in great condition, would be nice to have ranger on course to keep up pace of play. Took 5 hours to get 18 in.
Great and reasonable golf.
Nice course pretty good condition currently some standing water they had quite a bit of rain and car path only which slowed played out a little bit.
Great food and service
Fun course and great banquet facility. Get a yardage book or use a gps app if new to the course as there are some target holes.
All around great facility. The course is equally beautiful/scenic and challenging. Choosing the correct tees for your game is critical. The 12 holes down in the Sand Creek valley are nothing short of spectacular and have the feel of being up north! Great staff, reasonably priced and large practice area.
Good menu good burger
Golfed here for a company outing. It's a nice course.
A well designed and maintained course. Good pro shop and food. Attentive ranger and beer cart. 5 stars for quality and value.
Overall fun course. Average public course greens with a mix of wooded holes around Sand Creek mixed with average MN "links" style holes. Worth a drive to play. I would advise a cart for most as there are some longer walks between holes.
I have been a customer at the Ridges for many years. I can say that over the years, rarely have I experienced the kind of friendly customer, or personal service that I get from this friendly establishment. Beyond the great service. If you are looking for a golf course that has character, you will find this one a true GEM!
It was a beautiful course. Great round of golf. But being asked for a receipt at the first tee box at 7:30 in the morning? And being told by staff to pick up the pace, when you look behind you and the next group is just getting onto the next tee box and can easily drive... and being followed by the same staff member the remainder of your game. It is a gorgeous course, and I would play again if it was a round I knew I wouldn’t be rushed along the entire time. I’m no pro, or even amateur golfer. I play for fun. But the staff makes you feel like you should be playing fairway golf and taking 10 minutes max per hole. Will not return.
Sand Creek weaving through this course is beautiful. $61 riding 18 is a little steep, especially since they don't even have GPS in the carts.
Senior night fundraiser was very nice!
Very nice course and great scenery
Great price and great staff!
Great place and good food and drinks.
Absolutely wonderful place, great food, friendly, helpful employees and a beautiful course! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
This is a great golf course. It is beautiful. You will be challenged here to use course management. The staff have always been great! It is a must play!
Beautifully layed out course with a great mix of open, tight, woods, and water holes. The club house also has good views of many holes. Always have a great time here.
Nice course, Philly Cheese sandwich was awesome!
Money scams galore. They will suck every penny you have.
I love the golf holes back in the woods, it doesn't look like much but they have some great golf holes. You must play.
Nice layout and in good condition
It was great and well maintained course
Good golfing.
By far one of my favorite courses. It plays long so be ready for a 4.5 hour round. Looks can be deceiving. The 1st few holes look open but once you get down by the river you'll be blown away
Nice track long
Very nice course, kept in great shape!
We love their Easter Sunday buffet!
Very nice venue for any celebration. Food was great as well (Chicken Alfredo) and was filling.
It didn't have slot of choices really, for a buffet .
I walked in at 5:00. My food didn't come until 6:30. It wasn't busy
Beautiful golf course!!
If you like golf
Good beer, volleyball, hammer schlagen
I'm here to rate the bar, the food, service & event room only. I cannot rate the golf course or anything else that has to do with golfing... That said... I've been here many times throughout the years for High School Fundraisers, Receptions & the Cowboy/Cowgirl Luncheon. If I could give Sand Creek 3 1/2 Stars I would. The place is a little outdated including the decor in the event room, which is looking a bit worn. However, it's quite clean and the service at the bar is good yet can be sketchy at the tables, especially if they're busy. Which is why this disappoints me so much. Such aforementioned events stated above I would think that after all these years in business that they would be better prepared with prompt table service. Including reorders and clearing tables. As for the food, nothing impressive for your casual fare. It's mostly bulk purchased pre-frozen chicken breasts, burgers and other deep fried items that you can buy at your local grocery store in the freezer department. This also includes the appetizers I've had at the HS Fundraisers. I mean, the food is prepared well, but there's nothing spectacular about any of it. Prices for food and drinks are pretty fair, just remember where it's coming from.
Played this past Tuesday. I enjoyed the course however I've never played behind more ultra slow moving super senior fivesomes than what I saw on this course. Word to the pro shop, don't charge people $55 full price to play when you have fivesomes of 70+ seniors on the course who move at c snails pace. Never again!
Beautiful course and well maintained and a reasonable price. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? One thing that can be easily fixed by the course: speed of play. They need to spread out the tee times to 9 or 10 minutes. I've played here about 5 times and the round averages out to 5 hours.
Liked the food and the server was great. Prices were perfect, as was their pizza. They had a wedding going on so it seemed kind of chaotic but still a good experience.
Booked 8 tee times 3 months out only to have them cancelled because they only allow patrons play on Saturday morning between 7:30 and 9:00. Will not ever touch foot on the grounds again.
