This Golf belongs to the category of Golf course.
I love this course and I would easily give it 5 stars if it wasn't for one enormous issue. The pace of play is absolutely TERRIBLE. Slow play is the reason golf is dying, and course feeeeeeels it. An enormous amount of total hacks, who barely know the rules and how to FIX YOUR FRICKIN DIVOTS, hose up this coarse, and it's suffering from it. The greens used to be incredible, and now they're all torn up from people who just suck. Maybe this course should require you to verify your handicap, as I think many other courses should.
Second time I have played this course, with the first time being 4 years ago. There are a lot of things to really like about this course: The driving range and practice greens are top notch, with cool setup around water. Tees for all levels - Black (championship), Blue (pro), White (mens), Red (womens) and Gold (seniors). The greens are mint - probably the best I've played this year. Links style course with plenty of trees and character. The only thing missing is elevation change. Above average staff and service.
Nice place, little cold and wet today.
Exellent conditon, great value?
A challenging course with a few forgiving holes. Nicely maintained and great location.
Amazing personal staff!! Always willing to go the extra mile. As far as the course? John McCarthy is the best grounds director...bar non
Booked through Golf Now. When I showed up with my foursome, an hour before our scheduled tee time. I was told that I had been bumped 30 mins later because of a Golf Now problem. The pro shop then proceeded to charge me $40.00 extra dollars for the foursome, and they said there was nothing they could do. When I found my Golf Now confirmation email showing the dollar amount that I locked in, they reluctantly said, "ok, we can do that". They then proceeded to charge me an extra convenience fee, which I discovered later. They also had two girls who worked at the course tee off right behind us, and pushed us the whole day (even though we had several foursome ahead of us. When we made the turn, it appeared that they started sending people off the 10th tee, right before us. There were 5 groups on the 10th hole. Because of their management decisions listed above, we were able to play 13 holes in approximately 3 hours and 40 mins. Ok course, they blamed Golf Now for everything, but look like they are struggling.

Tees to greens have always been well maintained! Have played course for several years, staff is friendly and all levels of play are welcome here!
Went on a holiday weekend with two foursomes, most of which don't play very often - but we like to get together and play golf on memorial weekend. I got there early and ate a decent burger, had a drink and hit some range balls. Their range is interesting with a large pond for the first 100 yards and then some markers in the distance. Overall, the course has some trees on the fringes, but likely started out as a field. LOTS of man made moguls all over the course. The course tee boxes are beat up pretty bad. Maybe it was a hard winter? The greens are fairly good, but random patches of severely dry grass make judging the speed a little difficult. Being a holiday weekend, we did a bit of waiting to hit our shots and the twosome behind us was always waiting for us. The drink cart showed up just once on the 8th hole. We didn't want to make the group behind us wait too much so we just grabbed a couple things and moved on. The ranger visited us a couple times to check out the pace and we heard from him at the turn. To our first group he said, "2:30 minutes, do you think that is acceptable?" to the second group he said, "2:25 minutes, that should take 2:10 to 2:15." He said his name 3-4 times.. in case we complained I think. The reality is, he could have just said, "Hey guys, would you mind picking it up on the 2nd half?" We played the 2nd nine faster - we considered playing best ball because no one wants to play a pressured golf game, but just played more simultaneously. When we went to return our cart key one of our guys said something about keeping a faster pace on the back and he got some static about it taking 5 hours for the round. With all the choices of courses in Minnesota, we will not be back to this one. If that was the intent of the employees, then they have succeeded.
This fall has been very, very wet. Today we saw just how you run a golf course when the weather is less than ideal. It is a mystery to me how Logger's can get an inch of rain every other day yet have unlimited carts, the whole course trimmed nicely and very firm clipped greens. Hats off to them.

I grew up in the area and have been frequenting the course for 12+ years so I’m being nice but you guys have to clean up the groups of 6. Absolute joke that a group of two who want to play a tough light round wait 25 minutes on one whole while a family of 6 hits three balls for every shot and does not ask if the two would like to play through. It creates a log jam on the course. The course as always looks good although the greens are beat up from the heat and lots of players beating them up.
Good course, but is overpriced

Loggers trail is a 18 hole scenic golf course with a fantastic staff... The course has multiple tee boxes for all levels of golfers including some risk reward holes for those who have that ability... The driving range has a replica 16th green from Sawgrass so definitely give that a try... Good course + awesome staff = repeat business...Keep up the good work
Best Public Course in the Twin Cities
By far the best and most value offering course that I have played in the Twin Cities area. The golf course is above average in difficulty and is extremely well maintained. Greens roll very smoothly, and it's apparent that the maintenance crew does a wonderful job in making appropriate repairs. If you are looking for a decently challenging course that you rarely lose a ball on, I highly recommend this gem. O yeah I forgot...staff is extremely friendly and club house offers reasonably priced food and beverages.

Love the layout and the understated clubhouse - for me it should be about the golf. The practice area was really unique. Course was in great shape and a number of fun holes. The staff was super friendly and they had 2 for 1 beers after the round!
The course is in great shape. Brandon, Zac, and Tim are always friendly and helpful. One of the best courses in MN!!
Still one of my favorite courses in the metro area. Beautiful scenery and great conditions
Great layout and the course is always in great shape. You can’t beat the twilight rate!
This a great course and is kept in great condition the only thing is it could use a new club house but you don't play this course for that it's fun and challenging

Two best aspects of this course are the driving range and the fairways. Driving range is very cool with multiple platforms, length markers, and even a pond to hit over. Fairways here are very nice and flush and well maintained. The course is a hybrid links style course, with about 60% of the holes being wide open and rolling, and the other 40% being tree-lined and narrower. The course also has other cool features such as bridges, walkways, rocky areas, and marshes. A couple times I found myself not knowing where to go to find the next tee box, so they may want to put up a few more signs to make it easier for customers to identify where the next holes are. As nice as the course is, I would probably rather play OakGlen for a little bit less money.

Very cool layout. Fairways nice, greens mediocre shape at best. Biggest issue was the cups were terribly cut. For nearly a 70$ round, I have much better expectations. So, for that price...less than good.
Overall, I really enjoy this course. It's usually in pretty good shape, and has some fairly challenging holes. I like the half links/half tree lined approach. However, I have to admit that Loggers is getting a bit spendy, especially on the weekend. 18 holes w/ cart and a bucket of balls puts you $70+ at least! Stone Ridge prices for a course that isn't Stone Ridge quality.
Challenging but always in great shape. Feels like you are golfing in Brainerd. Love this course.
Still one of my favorite courses in the metro area. Beautiful scenery and great conditions
Extremely slow pace - almost 3 hours for 9 holes but the course is beautiful!
Love this course and the whole staff. Best links golf in Minnesota. Say hi to Max in the clubhouse for me!
Great Course with a neat layout. Greens are in great shape and run pretty quick.
Loggers is definitely one of the best public courses in the Stillwater area. Staff are exceptional and do whatever they can to make your outing great. Greens and fairways are well kept. Tee boxes are clean and well placed. They are also great to work with for leagues and groups through the season. Highly recommend!!!
One of the nicer options in town. A bit expensive for what it is. Course has a few holes that feel unfinished. But had a good variety of holes that will challenge golfers of all skill levels.
Nice course
Love this course and the whole staff. Best links golf in Minnesota. Say hi to Max in the clubhouse for me!
