Man, I really want to rate this course higher, because the staff is fantastic and the food is great... I'm rating 3 stars based on the conditions of the course and value of the round. First of all, for $100 range balls should be included...eithwr charge $105 or just include it, don't nickel and dime me. Second, the greens were in really bad shape... Perfect speed, but so many bumps and bare spots or really thing grass. I can't remember the last time my ball hopped and moved around so much on a green.... Really disappointing considering the rest of the course was in fantastic shape, especially for the amount of rain we got. The layout is really good and great views.

As others have said, Great staff and Challenging but fair holes. Very good condition. I've had nothingbut fun at Legends. Pace of play good, staff fair and respectable. Very good food, Great practice area. Greens are true but tough to putt. No gimmees to be found.

Course took aeration very well from few weeks ago, #16 par 5 is tough, first time I've ever played so can't wait to play again. Thank you legends staff for making this rainy day great. Ordered the thai chili wings and they were on point!

The course was in great shape. The range was also in great condition. I believe on the 3rd hole, there is a conditional green bc they are repairing the main green. This green is small the has a sand trap on the backside. Also, the green is small but very soft. You should be able to stick a ball easily without much spin. Goes without saying but stay in the short stuff you should should score well. The greens are a good speed and flags in a easier position.

When I asked the employee about this he said only half of players hit balls before they play. Fine, so offer up range balls to those who opt for them. This simple move would elevate perception and make us all feel a bit better about paying super premium prices.

Great layout!! Really like this course but $100+ to play on a weekday and still charge an extra $5 for 30 range balls? Ridiculous!!!!

Greens were terrible for the price of 100.00. Must have a lot of play. Layout of the coarse was fantastic, "T" boxes were in great shape so that tells me the pins needs to be moved more often for the greens to repair. Winds is a much better coarse for the same money and driving range balls are included with green fee. Extra charge for the Legends coarse. Very disappointed even on the front 5 over on the back not the fault of the coarse except a gamble on the putts with marked up greens.

The Legends offers a fantastic golf package. Parkland, Heritage, Moorland, and Heathland are wonderful golf courses and always immaculately maintained. On the other hand, Oyster Bay is a beautifully laid out golf course with an abundance of great scenery and wildlife. However the course itself is very poorly maintained. I played this course 10 years ago and swore to myself that I'd never go back. But as I was setting up courses for this year's trip, I was promised that Oyster Bay was now in great condition. Nope. It was horrendous 10 years ago and this year it was only slightly better. The main concern is the greens; there were quite a few greens with little or no grass at all and quite a few more with knobby tire tracks running back and forth. That will be my last attempt at Oyster Bay.

Long story, but I went WAY out of my way (and spent $38 on an Uber) to get to the course, with a tee time, but when I arrived they informed me that there was a league that was moving too slowly and IF I was even able to start my round I likely could not finish... All for my $100 (including rental clubs). Bummer. And OUCH to my wallet. I didn't spend the $100 but I'm out the $38... And now I have to get back to town. And I didn't play any golf. The staff didn't exactly bend over backwards to help a guy who had just flown in from out of town, either. They were mostly indifferent. The best offer they had was to play only 9 holes, but that was going to cost $80 including the club rental. All in all a very frustrating experience with the course. It looked pretty from the road as I was driving away (hence the two stars instead of one), but I am very frustrated right now.

Played this course in October and absolutely loved it. The staff was very nice. Carts have GPS and club cover. The greens and fairways were in fantastic shape even for peak of season. Pace of play was great. All-in-all it was probably the best golf experience I had all year and will for sure be returning next year.

Gorgeous course. Presents a very fair challenge to the golfer, very friendly staff, and the course was in spectacular shape despite the incredible heat and the guys in the pro shop mentioned it had gotten 5 inches of rain the previous night. The Par 3 over the water is awesome. This is right up there with Troy Burne as one of my favorite courses in the Twin Cities.
