I loved the trails. Thought there was more but it was fun and enjoy the scene

2014: Very disappointed in both the clubhouse and the golf course. I'll not hurry back. Course was opened at least a year too soon. 2015; I played it again this year and think the conditions are still rough. In a few years conditions may be good, if not great. Also, I question the design of some greens where you are unable to see the landing area, and the green slopes away from you from front to back. Very odd.

Sadly a major disappointment Had a tee time for 4:21,.. at first they couldn't locate my reservation, then after 25 minutes or so they finally had found it.. Odd. So I had to wait while two foursomes went ahead. I asked if there was drink carts out and about and was told yes.. I didn't see a single one.., 92° mind you The kids were rude behind the desk and not even a "thank you" or "have a good game" After the 2nd hole I couldn't find the 3rd hole.. no signs that I could see. I roamed the course and never did find it. Frustrated and overheated, I left after the 2nd hole. $35.00 down the drain. Thanks for a memorable Father's day experience

The best municipal golf course I've ever played anywhere. Home of the 1932 and 1954 PGA Championship. Great conditions, and lots of classic history here. Renovation completed last year honored the tradition of the course and kept all the unique features that give the course its character.

Played the "new" re-design of the classic public course for the first time last year. Really liked the changes that were made, but course was opened a little early after remodel. This year the course is in better condition. Greens and fairways have grown in. Definitely worth a visit. Reasonably priced and presents a challenge for all skill levels if you pick the right tee.

We went here for brunch . the price is inexpensive and the food is good . I enjoyed the made to order egg station . the food seemed to be fresh . it was hot or cold as needed . the entrance and driveway are neatly designed . parking was plentiful and close for us.All in all a good brunch experience . I will be going there again .

This is a really nice golf course for the cost of around of golf The course is in excellent shape most times it has a beautiful Clubhouse with the bar and full food menu the bar serves regular cocktails and beer. The facility is well-kept also has a great Pro Shop the clubhouse also has banquet rooms for events. I golfed here probably 10 times this summer well worth the value.

Played there yesterday and had a great time. Superintendent does a wonderful job! Greens were fast and rolled amazing. Really fun course to play! I don’t play here often because I live on the other side of town but I’d recommend it to anyone.

H.E. Experience

The redesign made the course 5 to 7 shots more difficult. The bunkers are for the most part too extreme, especially the fairway bunkers which are deep with mostly soft sand. Too difficult for the average golfer to hit out of these bunkers and get a good result. Some of the new greens are almost unputtable! Number 11 and 17 greens are crazy bad. Clubhouse is beautiful but prices are too expensive. Pro shop is small but nice, head pro is nice, some of the younger aged weekend staff are rude and inattentive. They may need to rethink their strategy there! Overall an average golf experience.

This course is a hidden gem of the Twin Cities. The centralized location and the amazing layout make it one of my favorites. I usually golf twilight, and couldn’t believe that this course was only 26 to walk. The quality of the fairways and greens is always pristine. A must play for people living in the metro area.

We recently had our wedding at the Keller Golf Course and I am so happy that we did. The venue is beautiful, staff are very friendly and we received so many positive comments about the location. It is very easy to get to and does not need much decorations as it is already so nice inside. I would highly recommend Keller for a wedding venue or other event!

Goose fecal matter everywhere, but the pokemon are worth it.

Steven Ostrom

Beautiful course. White tees were shorter than I remember from two years ago. Great experience.

Robert Jordan

My favorite golf course in the St Paul metro area. Course is in very nice shape. The Head PGA professional Mark Foley is a hard working guy and runs a very nice shop. The food at the club house is second to none. Every person that works there is pleasant and helpful. If you haven't played here you owe yourself a tee time.

Dale Sternquist

About as nice golf course anywhere in the country, Lee is about as good as it gets.

Adam Skordahl

A very nice public gold course. Well maintained, fast pace of play, classic sight lines.

Jeramey Fistrovich

Was here for a wedding - it was beautiful and went off flawlessly.

Margaret McGraw

One of the best public golf courses in MN. I had golfed here many times before the renovation and liked it then, so now it's much improved. The course has all of the familiar unique features like the trees are still in front of the Par 3 #4 and on #17 but they have improved the overall layout of the course, added lots of bunkers, better grass on the fairways, flattened & redesigned & widened some fairways and improved the grees with new grass. That said, I do agree with the previous reviewer that they may have opened a bit too soon - the fairway grass & greens were a bit rough. But it will be better this year. It still is probably the best public GC even with those problems. As a lady golfer, I like where they have moved the forward tees - especially on 13 where now I don't have to hit over the big gully - it's only an easy Par 3 for me now instead of losing a ball in the water or woods. Also, I have heard some senior golfers complain that there isn't any longer a nice "gold" tee option - the white are too close to the black and the blue tees are a bit too far with the new redesign. The clubhouse is very nice and traditional and has a full menu of quite good food - everything from salads to walleye to steak and full bar. Of course, you can stop in at the turn (which is after #11 at Keller) and get a hot dog or sandwich. They have happy hour too and an outdoor patio to watch golfers come in on 18...and hopefully not get nailed by an errant shot since the patio seems a little close to the finishing hole. I can't wait for spring to come and get back to Keller!

Best of the Ramsey County-run courses. They went through a redesign recently, and it's even better. Prices are kind of steep for a county course, but it's nice.

Sheldon Vaz

Beautifully rebuild of an old course. The course is fun to play and lovely to walk.

Mister Jon

For a public course, this is about as nice as you can expect. Easy parking and access to the course. It's well maintained and offers a mix of forgiving but also challenging holes. There is a driving range (but it's currently closed for construction). Staff was friendly and helped move play along respectfully. There's a nice clubhouse with large bar and decent food.

Brian Skelly

Course is in good shape. Probablt the best "city" course out there.

Satoru Asato

A beautiful course! The dates weather forecast called for rain. I managed to sneak in a solo round between downpours. Enough people had cancelled and riding a cart just in case, I was able to finish 18 in two hours despite initially skipping and coming back later to play two holes. Although it's pretty and well maintained course, it's not worth $65 with a cart for a weekday round. I will walk next time.

Ramsey County tore down a uniquely beautiful and historic clubhouse and put up a characterless barn in it's place. Either out of laziness (restoration would have required work!) or some commissioners were paid off by the construction industry. Either way, it's a tragedy!

Just finished a bad golf experience at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood, MN. The cost for a round of golf is $43.00 so I was expecting an above average experience. As we were warming up we noticed a five-some was two groups in front of us followed by a three-some just in front of us. So we were waiting many times with the three-some because of the five ahead of them. It was a very hot day and expected to see the drink cart many times. We saw it twice. Once between holes 2 and 3 and then once more between 8 and 9. We never saw her on the back nine. We were so upset we decided not to drink anything in the clubhouse. To top it off, the conditions were lousy. Most tee boxes had many bare spots. The collars on every green also had many bare spots. The greens were very slow and most likely had not been cut today. As a Ramsey County taxpayer I feel the double effect of my tax dollars not being spent well and the greens fees being way over-priced. We will not be going back!

Really nice course. Very well maintained, challenging but fair layout, good staff - can't really ask for more.

I played the "new" Keller this morning after having not played it for many years. It simply was fantastic. I've been lucky to play quite a few private clubs in recent years, and this course -- even the greens...wait, especially the greens! -- were stunning. Many of the changes to the course are subtle but some of the more striking, like the first tee and the removal of the tree line on #13, improve the course considerably. I will be back many more times this summer and wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my go-to course.

Eric J Carrara

Great golf course and food in the clubhouse.

My Mom had her wedding reception at the newly built clubhouse. Facilities were good. The staff were very professional and responsive. I've got to give some credit to the bartender for her mastery of barkeep small-talk. The employees here definitely get the credit for bumping this up to 4 stars.
