Great staff and awesome golfing experience at Edinburgh. Greens were flawless and the pace of play was great. Definitely recommend.
One of the best golf courses in the Twin Cities. Great conditions and a challenging layout. If you can read breaks on the putting green, you can score here. Staff is always very friendly. Excellent place to get in some practice with a generous short-game area and a nice driving range. Best sand west of Troy Burne. The course is also very walkable. Check out the famous #17 (pictured here).
Went there for a wedding. The grounds and buildings are impressive and well kept. Very pretty. Staff was attentive and professional. The food at the reception was top notch. Possibly the best I've had at a wedding and I've been to many. Quite a pleasant experience.
The food is fantastic at the Brooklyn and all the staff are delightful. A lovely place to dine. Planning a wedding reception there and couldn't be happier with Diane Nichol's assistance with everything. If you enjoy unique flavorful food this is the place to dine. Thank you!
Beautiful course and a real challenge! The staff does a great job making sure it’s a good experience.
Usually a pretty good place to play a round.
Excellent facilities, top notch!
Retirement
Great venue for a conference.
Love this place!!!!! Food and service is aleays great.
I grew here and very much enjoyed the golf course and food, maybe it's nostalgia but I would recommend.
Great food & SERVICE with friendly staff. Beautiful golf course!!
Good course....in very good condition. Not massively challenging. Bar and food are good.
Great staff and awesome golfing experience at Edinburgh. Greens were flawless and the pace of play was great. Definitely recommend.
Great value golf course, which is why it has been my go-to for the last few years. Moderate difficulty with plenty of hazards and fun holes.
Nice place for a dinner party.
Very well kept golf course.
Nice challenging course. You need strategy and good shots to reach the green. On the green, OMG. A lot of undulations on green. It's challenging, medium or advanced players will enjoy. Sorry for the beginners but you can still enjoy the course.
Great course. Easily walkable. Challenging and a great staff.
There was garbage was overflowing at the front door and the ashtry at the front door was filled with cigarette butts and water. Food at the restaurant was not any better than Denny's or Perkins and was basically the same as the prior restaurant. We we're hoping for better considering the price. That being said, our server did the best he could.
Free round of golf in your birthday
Very nice course. $3 brats and really well kept grass. 17th hole is beautiful.
Monday half of burger night is a great deal for such delicious food
Wow been years since I played this was in great shape you'll have a blast.
Hard to tell very very windy today
Had lunch at their restaurant, food was good, service was good. Not sure if the food was worth the premium price.
Great food, love the remodel!

Attended a conference there today, and the meeting rooms were quite nice. The staff were helpful and friendly.
A Minnesota legacy course. Beautiful course, nice clubhouse and event center; friendly, helpful staff. Been here for several golf events and a few wedding receptions. Never fails to deliver.
Was there for a conference recently and the sound system and HVAC were not working well. The catered continental breakfast was average at best.
Went here for a New Years Eve dinner. We were seated right away. They have a small, but nice tap beer selection. Beverage costs are average. The menu was very limited for this night with a choice of steak, chicken, pork and sea bass. The one thing I don't like is when everything is À la cart. This made for a very expensive evening. I don't believe we'll be back here for another New Years Eve. Which is a shame because we had a wonderful time a few years ago.
Went there for a wedding. The grounds and buildings are impressive and well kept. Very pretty. Staff was attentive and professional. The food at the reception was top notch. Possibly the best I've had at a wedding and I've been to many. Quite a pleasant experience.
Had a great time. Really good service, good food and cold beer!

Such a great experience every time I have played here. Course is in great shape.
Went for a wedding reception in the hall, the food and drinks were good but a cop showed up and just watched us for most the night. Ruined the whole vibe didn't understand why he was there. Doubt he shows up for other weddings but who knows.
Beautiful course and a real challenge! The staff does a great job making sure it’s a good experience.
Extremely challenging course with many different styles incorporated. Professionals are great and practice facilities are one of the best in the state! Be ready to be challenged and use every club and shot you have, but it will be more than worth it in the end!
Too many of them , need more places to help the homeless to a place to live
Beautiful wedding reception, amazing food!
Terrible! They claimed only 3 holes were under construction, liars! Just about every hole on the entire course eas torm up. Definitely not worth the discounted price of $53. Maybe next year when it's back to normal.
Friendly staff, but the course is way overpriced. The price I was charged was $20 more than the confirmation email price. The fairways are ridiculously tight. By hole 13th hole I was so frustrated that I started teeing off with a long iron instead of driver. But half the fun of golf is pounding the big stick! Course was in ok condition. But for similar price i'd play rush creek or Bunker hills any day. I won't be playing Edinburgh again. On a similar note, I did have my wedding reception there years ago and the venue was outstanding.
Very nice course!!
Gorgeous wedding venue! The staff is always so accommodating! I love shooting events at Edinburgh!
Best course I’ve played this year. Course is in fantastic shape. Challenging layout but playable. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Food at the clubhouse was really great. Overall a wonderful experience
One of those courses that aren't very inviting. Driving range is limited to 250 yards.
Nice for a wedding.
Haven't played since the improvements a few years ago... wow! Great shape!
Timely and respectful team. The cashier was professional.
Tried the new restaurant called "The Brooklyn" for HH at the clubhouse. They don't really have a HH like the previous operator. They just knock something off the bar menu. The new menu is a huge disappointment compared to previous one. I had the "Killer" Dog -- yah it kills -- by boredom! The Sunfish Tacos weren't much better -- the "sunfish" name should have huge clue -- sunnies are not very big and the fish in the tacos were sunny filets -- you can guess how big they were -- there was no trace of the advertised avocados. Overall, a huge disappointment after waiting for the opening of the new restaurant.
College Alumni Golf Tournament... great course and great staff!
Decent food at the girvan grill, All of our experience was good but, my aunts food came cold.
Beautiful wedding venue and a fun golf course
Great course..challenge for average golfers.. lot of beauty and hole# 17...Tee to an island and pitch to a peninsula green....above average fees ....fun.
They have a great short game setup and quite possibly the best place near the cities to practice on all facets of your game
Arrived at the driving range 45 minutes before closing time (8:00). Found the driving range closed. A little upset.
Comfy, great food and a bartender that rocks on service...Rob Erickson!
Great fish & chips special! Good service and quite atmosphere.
Nice golf course. Challenging holes, had a nice day to play here.
Great country club with a lot of parking. Was very nicely decorated for the holiday season when I was there. Well kept and they also had great food options on the premise.
Great place
Nice course. Annual outing.
Great course conditions
I did not play golf, only ate at their restaurant. But the waiter did say its ONLY $70 for a round. Beautiful place, great atmosphere, delicious food (like really)! My only negative is that the bar water down your drinks, other than that...very nice place even for a date night.
Beautiful course and challenging lay out. Pace of play was a little slow. Finished a round in 5 hours. We found ourselves waiting to tee off on every hole.
I used to be a brunch regular but it's not what it used to be... there's no more breakfast buffet and the prices a la carte are not worth the trip.
They changed things around and it looks great
Great Event space!
Only used the driving range so far. Pretty fub
A wedding reception there, obviously their air conditioning doesn't work very well
Amazing course and the club house us adorable.
Second year in a row hosted a wonderful am980 the mission event for pastors.
We had our wedding at Edinburgh, and we were so happy with how it turned out. Cheron was so incredibly helpful, patient, and accommodating with all of the planning. Everything came together well on the wedding day itself, too. The facility is beautiful, and the staff are professional, kind, and helpful.
Best course I’ve played this year. Course is in fantastic shape. Challenging layout but playable. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Food at the clubhouse was really great. Overall a wonderful experience
It used to be a great course with nice and friendly golfers, not anymore. Many foul moused young golfers with bad attitude who have forgotten their golf etiquette. Stay away specially during twilight hours if you want to golf out with family and friends!
Love this course. Beautiful and in phenomenal shape. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I will be back over and over. Thanks for being part of the PCC.
Quiet restaurant with helpful staff.
Was a walk on Sunday morning and I was the only female. Was paired with 3 of the nicest men who made me welcome. Very challenging golf course. Ate at the on course restaurant and it was fabulous. Had the Cobb salad with steak. Yummy!
Great place to play and practice. Staff is awesome and the course is always in good shape.
Nicely maintained and challenging enough.
Great city owned facility: golf course, banquet, bar and restaurant location.
Yummy burgers at Girvan Grill.
I'm not really a golfer but it's a beautiful place very good for holding conventions and stuff like that.
Great facility for small to medium size gatherings. Food was good. Good beer selection.
Challenging golf course.
Great Day, Great experience! All the staff at Edinburgh was very accommodating. The course was in fantastic shape. Only issue was no beverage cart on the course
Challenging and fun course. Great practice facility.
One of the best courses around
So excited for the new restaurant!
One of the best courses in the twin cities. Very challenging, greens are excellent. Club house is nice with good food.
Nice place but the people are not that nice you can say hello to someone and they act like they don't hear you the staff is friendly
Don't let the outside fool you. The place is affordable, there's no dress code, and they are always there to cheat you on if you do the ghost wing challenge, a dish in itself a delight.
Beautiful course. Watch out for hole 17!
Excellent Easter Sunday brunch! Reservations were required. Food was fresh and prices were reasonable.
Course is in great shape. Greens are quick but true. Driving range and practice area first rate. Staff is very helpful. The 19th hole has beer and food ready to please.
Great Golf Course nice greens
I work here, in a restaurant and bar, it's called 'The Brooklyn ' if you're a golfer you will love the place.
One of the best courses in Minnesota close to home!
Overpriced food.
Great golf course
Do not play this course!!! They allow tee times on both the front and back nines. Our first nine mind u we teed off at 7:09 am the 2nd tee time of the day took only 1 hr 50 minutes. Then when we got to the back nine there were 5 groups of four on the 10 hole! 5 foursomes on the same hole!!! Unexceptable! The back nine which mind should have only had one group in front of us on the whole back nine took 2 hours and 50 min! We will never play here again
Nice course. Great special price we got on a Monday morning.
Very nice course. Great location.
I was here for a friend's wedding and helped do the set-up. Great event venue and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Renovated restaurant, banquet facility
Fun course. Nicely kept
Nice course a little spendy don't think it was worth what I paid play good shot 77 there will play again with discount
Very nice place
We hit balls at the range prior to eating dinner at Edinburgh (monthly dinner group). Had beer, wine, and lemonade cocktails. As a group we had ordered chicken or shrimp stir fry, crusted prime rib, and diablo roll ups. Very good!
Wonderful wedding venue
The complete golf package for a public facility. Great layout in country club-like condition with fantastic restaurant. Relaxed environment and friendly staff. Tough test but fair. Among the best greens in the Twin Cities.
Lovely course with great practice area
Here for a reception. Great food and service.
In great shape
Beautiful course, but extremely overpriced. =(
Awesome practice area and course is always in good shape.
Great course!
Went for a banquet, everything went great.
great place
Girvin's grille will close December 26...after remodel, will reopen as the Brooklyn under new management contract. Opens April 20!
Tough course with a lot of water highly recommended
Always enjoy playing here. Staff is always friendly. Girvan Grille is always good to stop in for a beer and/or lunch. This is a must stop for Minnesota golf.
Served at a wedding in the banquet hall. It was so beautiful and glassy! I don't golf enough to rate the course, but Edinburgh is a beautiful place I'm glad to have been apart of!
We had an event at the new bar and grill located at the Edinburgh Golf Course. I don't believe they were ready or prepared at all stepwise to deal with such a large group that had booked the event at that new bar and restaurant. Because they were still in the remodel phase apart of the bar. I found the staff respectful but a bit overwhelmed because I do not believe the management and prepare them to the overall scoop of the event the restaurant bar and grill I'm sure when the bar and grill is completed things will run a lot smoother at that time.
Great greens and well maintained. Tough to play.
ALWAYS A NICE TIME!
I golfed this course yesterday for the very first time and here are my thoughts... COURSE This course was by far on of the most beautifully maintained courses I've golfed in a while. There was little if any dry spots on the entire course where the grass was dry or burned up. The fairways had little to no divots on them even in the common landing areas on the par 4s and par 5s. The course looked as if it hasn't been played in a month due to preparing the course for a PGA or LPGA Tour event; the course was incredible. Also, for the long hitters who enjoy distance this course offers just over 6900 yards from the sticks and offers multiple scenic and challenging holes. There is quite a few water hazards on the course as well which they've mowed the rough to so if you were to miss the fairway your ball may run down to the waters edge. This course also has an incredible peninsula fairway signature hole (#17) which was incredibly unique. Lastly' the bunkers at the course actually have sand in them and lots of it which golfers can appreciate since bunkers are the most common area of criticism at a course. FOOD I was fortunate enough to golf this course on Sunday morning which meant that after my round I got to experience one of Edinburghs famous Sunday Brunches. The food at this brunch was AMAZING!!! For this brunch you had Mini Belgium Waffles, Build your own omelets, pastries, treats, fruit, salad, golden hash brown, just to name a few. You definitely know the food is good when you go to this brunch and eat because 3/4 of the people there were non-golfers (just a bunch of families). The brunch was so incredible that I'll be making plans to drive the 50 minutes just to partake in the brunch once again even if I won't be golfing and I'll be sure to bring a friend. SUMMARY & THOUGHTS I golf on average 3-5 rounds per week at some of Minnesota's top public courses throughout the Twin Cities and I always look to golf somewhere new. Out of all those courses this is by far one of my top 2 favorite courses. It offers a variety of challenging and scenic holes and the condition of the course is second to none. Also, the beauty of the clubhouse and practice facilities are amazing! The only course that has a better clubhouse and practice facility in the state of Minnesota is Hazeltine National which I was fortunate enough to golf last year. I highly recommend making your next tee time at Edinburgh USA and if you golf on a Sunday be sure to try the brunch because you won't regret it... Unless you over eat and have another round to play within the hour later that day which I did but it was still worth it. I can see why this course was chosen to host LPGA Tour events in the past and I'm shocked it hasn't hosted one in quite some time. It's most certainly conditioned for it!
Great Day, Great experience! All the staff at Edinburgh was very accommodating. The course was in fantastic shape. Only issue was no beverage cart on the course
10/10, return customer here.
The clubhouse restaurant is outstanding. The D'amico brothers can't miss. The caliber of food is something you find downtown. The patio is a must stop before you head home after a long day of work!
Me & some of my most beloveds chose this place for an extension of celebrating @ a pool party @ one of their new nearby homes for the first time on 7/22/2018 because it was the closest late night option that wasn't a quick food restaurant. We called in advance to see if our ultra casual attire would be acceptable & to confirm that there was enough space & time to order as it was within the last 1.5 hours of being open. We were welcomed most warmly & enthusiastically by the host, waiter, & kitchen staff whom were most courteously & funny as they gave the utmost respect to my need of assuring I could have an allergy friendly meal!! We were definitely were in awe of the fine attention to details of the entire business that appeared more like a 5 star hotel & restaurant than we thought!!! I'll be sure to remind of an advance notice so we can do our best to prepare to dry our hairs & change of a bit more suitable clothes to match the classier environment to have overall increased comfort from not having had as wet clothing & heads as we did with our initial experience!!!! I can certainly see that I would highly recommend one of your newest neighbors to consider as a higher potential choice of suggesting to give advance notice for his mentioned annual event to save up a lil extra to dine @ local independent restaurants that we prefer to whenever possible!!!!!
Such a beautiful course
Always well maintained. Always lots of events here. This is one of the most difficult courses in Minnesota I believe. Also nice to be able to get a bucket of balls, go do some chipping in the back and finish them off on the driving range.
Great restaurant on-site.
Awesome course, great fairways, beautifully groomed and landscaped
I like the look of the Brooklyn Restaurant at Edinburgh Golf Course, very pretty decorations how they have remodeled it! My husband and I came here for a Seminar tonight on LivingTrusts and Wills and we met in one of the classrooms upstairs at Edinburgh Golf Course. We had a very good informative meeting and learned a lot also... and the food was very good!
Challenging course design and golf. Front 9 lis more links and water. Back 9 is wooded with two challending water holes. This coursse does not forgive bad shots. If one can score well at this course, one can score well anywhere else.
It was fun
Good course, expensive drinks.
Nice course in great condition
The clam chowder was very good !
Extremely large clubhouse/restaurant with large practice greens and accurate range . The course is difficult with bunkers in all the right places and tough greens, but also has some short birdie opportunity holes . Fairways along with the rest of the course were very well kept . Will definitely be back again
Very well kept course. Fun to play.
Was here for an event and the staff was more than accommodating and the place is very pretty in the winter time
This golf course is a must play every year. Tough and challenging.
Food mediocre fries very salty wait staff wasn't well trained
Beautiful green course with lush trees, perfect for a calm getaway.
Awesome course! Challenging with many bunkers. Friendly staff. Love it.!!
Very good, well maintained golf course, challenging but fun. In a close suburb. The bar/lounge is attractive and overlooks the starting area and #1 and #10. The restaurant menu is good and my pasta was excellent. Understaffed so not very good although pleasant service. I had to go get condiments, tableware, etc. Even though we had reserved for a large group several days ahead, when we arrived they were not set up. We stood around for more than 10 minutes while they gathered up tables and chairs from around the room. And then the table were different sizes and shapes so that some people sat with corners stuck in their stomachs. Totally unacceptable on the part of the management and our party probably spent $400.
Nice place with an amazing club house
Normally a decent course. It is always a little slow due to the amount of play it gets. But I played yesterday and they charged $81 to ride. The course was not in good shape. Hard to swallow that kind of green fee for this early in a season. Also I played a couple of other courses that were in far better condition at a much lower cost. Dissapointed!!
The new "Brooklyn" restaurant was very noisy/bad acoustics!
Cozy, warm feel to the club house.
I hadn't played here in about 20 years, I just turned 40, but when I was 13,14 yrs old this was "The" place to play. And though in 2017 the selection of nicer public golf course options has gotten much larger this 30 year old course can still hold it's own. Course is in great shape, is still challenging, and I see still has a cheap twilight rate . Back in 1990 you had to just show up for twilight golf and put your name on the list and then wait, now you can use a phone to make a tee time in advance though.
Great facility, great atmosphere with delicious food. Nice space and place.
Love golfing here. Play can be slow, but rangers stay on top of it usually.
Great golf course
Great food and atmosphere, especially for weddings
Top Notch food and ambience.

A top-notch golf course within minutes of downtown
First Saturday Prime Rib dinner was excellent!
Top notch
Tough course, need to keep the ball down the middle. Wow that's golf take! Greens are in good shape, sand shots are nice, rough is thick, and fairways are in great shape. Price is spendy, but course is worth it.
Girvan Grill is a great lunch place!
Rollie Harrington was very helpful
