Golfed here with some friends yesterday and had a horrible experience. Staff wasn't friendly first of all. We were charged $60 to play the course so I expected it would be in great shape and it wasn't. Out of 18 holes I remember at least 9 greens with damage. They use some kind of green fertilizer to cover it up bkut you could still see it. No beverage cart and pace of play extremely SLOW. I could have played several other courses for that price and had a better experience. Will never play here again and lose that kind of money.

I played there on Saturday, 5/4/2019 for the first time is 3 years. The fairways and greens were in terrible shape, fairways had significant winter kill and the greens were bumpy. Not worth the price they are charging.

Overpriced, poorly designed holes 8n relation to other holes and the greens are bad. You'd think the greens, at a minimum, would be good. Timber creek is better all around experience

Course is great and reasonable prices for twilight rounds. Staff is always pretty friendly and helpful. Be weary if the carts later in the day though. Apparently there is some electrical issue where they can not charge the carts during the day. I have seen many carts abandoned all over the course because the battery has died.

I like this track for the price. It's on top of a natural bluff above the Minnesota river valley so there is a lot of wildlife and natural settings with very few houses on the course. Kind of a beginner track but there is some decent slope and elevation changes. The carts do have GPS. The greens are starting to crown a bit, but for the price this is a great early season course to hit up and definitely one to have as a last minute option.

Enjoyed the course today, pace was pretty slow but it was a beautiful day so that helped. The service in the clubhouse was great and very accommodating to us as walk-ons. However I do believe the course is a bit overpriced, it has nice facilities and is well kept but the layout isn't anything super special.

Played there on August 17. They warned us that the recent rains had made for cart paths only on a couple of holes. What they didn’t warn us about was the horrible conditions of the course. Two of the greens, 11 and 12, had large patches where they have sodded in to repair the greens. Most of those greens were more dirt than grass. Other greens had large bad areas on them as well. Fairways and tee boxes were very spotty as well. I like the layout of the course, but when paying premium prices I expect premium conditions. At the 9 hole turn when we complained about the conditions they advised us that they were having fungus problems. It turned out we hadn’t even seen the worst of it yet when we got to 11 and 12. There were no apologies or compensation for the conditions. They took their money and ran. Stay away until they get there act together.

booked 18 hole with cart at 6pm for only $23 (great deal) - only problem was that it was so slow, we got through 10 holes in 3 hours. They need to make carts mandatory or talk to groups about slow play because it was absolutely brutal. 30 handicaps taking 3 minutes to crouch down and line up putts, and take 12 practice swings in the fairway - course is not in great shape, but it's a nice area, and low price is good, slow play is a disaster though

Wierd layout...too many holes playing in the same direction. Balls from other fareways everywhere. Not to mention most of the greens are in very poor shape (worst ive seen). Not worth the $$.

This is a very nice golf course. I enjoyed playing this golf course at the time of the day that it was it was after lunch and it was open. We got right on there was nobody in front of us and nobody pushing us. The staff was very knowledgeable about the course and Fun to play! The tee boxes were nice you were able to get a good drive off, the fairways very well maintained and easy enough to get your 2nd shot off and get it on the green. The greens were slow so you could put some effort into your put in pretty much get it in the hole if not right next to it! It is a very fun golf course for people of all ages. A great place to practice up your driving and your short game as long as you are a golfer. It was a very enjoyable round of golf the scenery was nice and you could not complain about how the golf course was laid out. So grab your clubs a couple of friends and go try this place and have A-blast. I am waiting for a ball maker with their name on it from that course... so when they get em hit me up! So get out and support your local golf course, In have fun at this very well maintained golf course you will be back to play again remember to bring a friend or a kid! Nice golf course! The pro shop staff is not friendly or helpful. The chef is great! We played and then had drinks after the round. The staff was in a rather heated and loud conflict with one or two of their colleagues. Not cool! My wife and I hope to play this course again in August. We shall see if things change.

2 Star course at 4-4.5 star price. My main complaint is that there is a fundamental flaw in the design of the course. Most of the fairways are in valleys and the grading (drainage) is non existent. Too many ponds in the middle of fairways and they were so soft, you had to skull it to get anywhere. Granted i played after a rain storm but it should drain better and faster if you’re going to charge 60$ a round. Hole #6 and #12 are toughhhhhh. The layout is challenging but many of the tee boxes and greens need repair. Greens were really soft, i would leave ball mark from 30 yards. Putting was challenging at times with lots of bumps. The course was in rougher shape for the money. My final verdict is to spend the extra ten bucks and go to deer run or Chaska town course if you’re looking for something in the area. Pretty disappointed in this course and i will not be back if i can help it.

I enjoyed my round there. Started early and I was by myself. In order not to be on the guys butt in front of me (they never invited me to play with them) I just played two balls. Not playing there before had its challenges as I would have played some holes entirely different. Course was in good shape with a decent layout. I hope to enjoy another round soon.

Fun course to play..not super long, 6600 from tips but strategy is required. Fun par 3s and par 4s with layups required. Only downside is that they aerated the greens a week ago..highly recommended course.

This is my 'home' golf course as I live nearby. It is a fun course that's not too busy. You can also get good deals on early bird, twilight, late/early season, or using an online golf program. The people are friendly and I recommend it.

Bluff Creek was a nice challenge. There are holes that are tricky due to elevations, so plan on using most of the clubs in your bag. There is not much water to worry about, but some of the greens are quite challenging. The staff was very accommodating for our yearly company golf outing & shotgun start. If you are in the area it is a good golfing value, give it a go.

Somewhere around 5 or 6 of the greens were in awful condition and in desperate need of attention. Entire sections of sod had been replaced, many were "burnt" to the point that there were several large sandy patches. Many of the other greens which weren't badly damaged appeared they hadn't been cut for several days while the few quality greens which had been cut more recently just made the round even more frustrating by adding to the wildly inconsistent conditions across the course. Edging was poor, cup lips were damaged early in the round, a handful of tee boxes were also in shoddy condition. 3 inches of rain in the early morning hours washed out several bunkers making many completely unplayable - and that's understandable, but we saw zero maintenance staff tending to any of the poor conditions. The overall course layout was respectable (hence 2 stars instead of 1). It seems like it could be a fun track to play if it was more well kept. Honestly, this course has no business charging $63 for 18 w/ cart in the condition it was in. Maybe a discounted $35 rate while the course is repaired would be more appropriate. Up your maintenance game and give this course the TLC it deserves.

The layout of this course is good. The overall condition over the years has really improved. About 5 years ago this course was not kept up very well. I believe there is new management because the course is now being kept up very well. 2 years ago I shot 69 there and can say the greens still roll true having played there last weekend. The only draw back would be slow play. They tend stack tee times and rounds can really drag on. A ranger actually enforcing pace of play by having some of those groups skip holes would be my only suggestion.

The course had just been aerated and in no way shape or form was worth the amount they charge. Staff was disrespectful and trying to nickel and dime you for everything they could. Will not play again. Many other courses in the metro I would recommend over this course.

This course is not worth 55 bucks to golf. I have golfed here so many times in my life and always leave asking why I paid that much to golf there it's just not the quality you would expect at a 55 dollar rate. Lower your rates or at least give more hot deals.

Beautiful wedding venue however there was no bathrooms available for guests when the bride was getting ready. They should consider having a better setup for the restrooms for the wedding party and the guests.

An alternate home course. Good value for money for weekends if booked online. A few of the tee grounds are in bad shape and undergoing repair. Greens tend to be slow on weekends. Despite ups and downs, the course is walkable.

Bluff Creek is a beautiful course. The rate is on par with other courses and it is well kept. The course feels a little bit long at times. Fairways are wide open and there are not too many water hazards which I like. Trees are well-kept and easy to find balls underneath (this happened on more than one occasion).

Bluff Creek offers a scenic piece of property with a course that's maintained well. The layout is challenging but fair. It offers some risk-reward chances and a signature "ravine" hole (#12) that you might have seen on Explore Minnesota's Dream 18 video. Expect elevation changes and a few penalty areas to navigate. I'm happy to see them embrace "demand pricing" that's getting popular lately. Deal seekers can find good rates at less popular times. (Update: They had GPS carts when I originally wrote this review in 2014 but no longer offer them in 2019.)

Had a great first experience with the Pro Shop staff and other employees. Carts were clean and had GPS with hole information, which was extremely useful since I wasn't familiar with the course. Greens and tees were well kept. Highly recommend!
