Great little course that is good for walking. Everytime I've gone, I've been able to walk right on. Clubhouse has what you need of you forget anything and the staff is friendly as well. The course is well maintained and can be challenging in some areas.

I've played Birnamwood over 100 times, it is by far the best place for a young or new golfer to learn to play. Staff is always excellent and the course is well respected. Also a great place to warmup for an 18 as it takes about 1.5 hours to play through!

Good course. I like that there are a couple of longer par 3s which allow for more variety in shots. There isn't much in the way of challenging hazards. Other than a few bunkers, there isn't much that will get you into trouble. It's worth noting to anyone considering golfing here that the past couple of times I went there, I had some minor problems with other golfers not really being particularly nice people. It's not the course's fault, and I'm not taking away points in my review for it, but it is what it is. I was golfing with a new golfer, so of course we were fairly slow. But we had people hitting into us while we were on the green - very not OK. We also had a staff person mowing the lawn right in front of us for a couple of holes. I get that they need to maintain their course, but I'm sure they can find other ways to do so which are less disruptive. These very small grievances and issues aside, this is a good course that is well worth checking out if you're in the mood for an easy par 3 course.

Wonderfully laid out par 3 course with challenging sand traps. Beautiful woods and very nice floral boxes. Great staff and manager who we got to talk with. Very nice clubhouse. Only problem is with the design that has several holes aimed at the bifurcated road or homes - not a killer deal but a consideration.

Before 7am - Early Bird discount. Short-Average distance with variety. Hardly any curves. A few sand traps. Very well maintained. Good practice course. Friendly staff! Thank you Birnamwood for a great experience. I’ll be your neighbor soon too!

It is well kept up, and has its own kids league! It is a relatively easy par 3 and has just 9 holes. The service is good and it's not too spendy.

A gem of a Par 3 course, well maintained by the City of Burnsville. It is a rolling terrain, so involves short hikes up hills to get to the tee boxes on holes 5, 8 and 9. One finds flowers blooming throughout, with particular fragrance walking between the roses to the second tee box. There are a few long fairways that May call for a driver, but great place to refine your short game.
