Decent course for twilight value on weekdays ($20) or weekends ($30). Front 9 is way less of a challenge than Donald Ross designed back 9, your scores will reflect as much. Front 9 is possible to "bomb into submission" if you can hit drives 270+ yards, its almost impossible to miss left or right, as tree cover is minimal and easy to get on green within regulation, even with a wayward, long drive. Greens, although somewhat slow are in pretty decent shape and surprisingly firm.
Once you make the turn, however you are greeted with a long par 4 on 10 where misses left or right pretty much guarantee a bogey. 11, 12, and 13 are all challenging risk / reward holes that can punish aggressive plays and make scrambling much tougher with your misses. 14 is my favorite hole on the course; a par 5 that is reachable but requires a long, faded tee shot over a well placed fairway bunker leaving about a 240 shot into the green that can be made. 15 from the blue tees is another challenging hole that requires a draw from the tee box. 16, 17 and 18 are a fun ending to the challenging back 9 of the course.
The staff and starters at the course are extremely friendly and helpful, but buyer beware that pace of play concepts here are basically non- existent. Your best bet is to show up as an individual for twilight and bank on making some new friends on the course! My biggest complaint of the course is the lack of effective groundskeeping on certain holes. A lack of good water drainage has really messed up the center of many fairways, consequentially if you hit a perfect drive right down the middle on hole 9, 11, or 18 your second shot will be from "ground under repair" which is worse than hitting from the rough. Hopefully as the dryer, summer, weather comes, however, this situation can get somewhat better.
