Here you will see the feddbacks of real people who are purchasing the services and products of Quail Ridge Golf Club (Golf) near Michigan.
Now this firm gets a score of 3.8 out of 5 and this rating has been based on 225 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is very good, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the assessment is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place evaluations when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf club.
Great club, polite staff and beauriful scenery
The course is nice and most of the staff, all except one golf ranger who snapped on me and my coworkers, as well as s group of our clients who were playing.
There was no 0 star option so here we are. DO NOT BOOK A WEDDING HERE! Unprofessional, not organized, no sympathy for people's feelings, and over all just a terrible experience. Book anywhere else but here.Seriously.
Great course we'll maintained beautiful fairways very good greens
The course is nice but I would NOT recommend playing a league here. Haven’t once tee’d off on time (30 mins behind schedule every week) 3+ hour nine hole rounds.... really?!
My Son and new Daughter- in- law had their wedding @ Quail Ridge this past weekend. It couldn't be more perfect. The food was outstanding, the staff was amazing and bar was always hoppin. I can't thank Quail Ridge enough for making their special day one that we will always remember.
Decently challenging.
Friendly staff, very well maintained and a fun course. Ill be back.
Always kept up nicely. Great course.
Fantastic course!
Best kept secret in West Michigan
Without a doubt my favorite course in Grand Rapids. There isn't another course in Grand Rapids with better kept greens, and they are huge. The condition of this course is much better than the other courses in the area. The service it great, I am treated better here than any course I've played in the United States. Would recommend this course over any of the Grand Rapids courses.
"Gimme back my ball!!!" Lol. Great course. Would play it again in a heartbeat.
I would say the course is quite challenging. The par threes can be a bit intimidating. Keep the driver in the bag as many of the holes can be played with a 3 wood or strong hybrid because they're not long or they have a carryover. If you decide to use the driver, make sure you hit the fairway because there is not much room for error. The greens are hard and fast. Really nice except there's lot of unrepaired divot marks. Wish people would fix their divot marks... Just a shame. All in all its a fun and challenging golf course. As a former PGA professional, I would recommend this course.
Enjoyable play
Nice course , greens roll true and fast.
Quail Ridge Golf Course is well maintained with a quiet layout for stress free play.
Beatiful venue, great food
The course is always in good shape. At times the pace of play can be slow.
If you are thinking about having a wedding at Quail Ridge Golf Club I would advise you not to. My friend recently had her reception at this place, and a day that was supposed to be special was ruined by a wedding coordinator, who basically did everything wrong. The bride and groom paid for a full service, including appetizers, which were not served, two types of pasta, but only one type was available, and three types of sauce, but again only two were available. The coordinator also said that golf carts would be available for the bridal party in order to take pictures around the golf course, and once again that did not happen. In addition, they also did not follow the directions for the decorations (which they did not start until the bride and bridal party arrived), changing the color of the napkins, chairs and center pieces were missing. Also, I couldn't forget to mention all the golfers going in and out of the party, because they also forgot to put reservation signs. Instead of assuming that they were wrong, and taking the responsibility, the coordinator denied everything and pretended as nothing happened. I believe that a place that is committed to hold special events, such as a wedding, should have more respect for the bride, the groom and all the guests, by doing what was asked and being more professional.
Great layout, playable but challenging
Challenging and well kept course that is reasonably priced. Highly recommend playing here!
Ok course. Horrendous management and attitude towards guests. Last time here my tee time was 30 minutes delayed, and i got a lot of grief for being a walker. Thornapple Pointe is a better option in the neighborhood. We are not coming back and i would not recommend this course to non-members.
To start, the place looked amazing and seems like a great place to have a wedding and or reception. I was a part of my friends wedding, and this place absolutely destroyed the day. Nothing was set up like it should have been, they didn’t follow what was agreed upon for services they would provide according to the package purchased. The lady running that wouldn’t take responsibility for anything and why the decorations weren’t put out and blaming the bride and groom for that, even though she had all the stuff sitting boxed up in her office. The family and bridal party had to get things set up while guests were arriving, and it ended in with the bride in tears instead of enjoying what should have been one of the most memorable and amazing nights of her life. Now it is only remembered for the horrible way things ended, and how poorly the staff in charge treated everyone involved. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
DO NOT BOOK FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION. The coordinator does not know what she is doing. Venue was not ready on time. Buffet line was placed in the wrong area. Appetizers were not served. Instead of enjoying their night the bride and groom had to go around fixing everything that was mismanaged.
Great course conditions, beautiful layout!
Nice course. Greens read true. Picturesque
Nice track
Early times
My friend paid for a full service wedding reception package at this facility. The wedding coordinator, Stacy, ruined her daughter's reception. The brides family is from Brazil, they come to the usa at least once a year if not more often for 30 plus years. They always tell their extended family how wonderful it is here. So needless to say they were mortified at this disaster! The colors were wrong, the food was wrong and not enough food was served. The flowers were "lost" and then "found" in the coordinators office the next day. Nothing was right! I truly hope this place was not taking advantage of the brides family because they are from another country!!! I wouldn't reccomend this place to my worst enemy! They owe this bride and groom something more than an apology!
Terrible service. I went on a wedding reception there, and they were very unorganized and irresponsible. Definitely NOT a place for events.
Challenging course.. spring time and greens were fast.. enjoyed the layout.
Friendly staff and relax atmosphere. Course is always kept in great shape.
We got married 9-1-18, and were part of the entire process of the construction and building of the new reception/tent venue. They were working right up to the last minute, which made us nervous, but Stacie did wonders for us and got everything done just in time! It turned out so beautiful, and perfect, even though we had to get married inside the tent as well, due to the weather, she still made it work for us. Stacie was wonderful to work with and it ended up being sooo beautiful. We were very happy with how everything turned out. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly! Definitely would recommend Quail Ridge for a wedding!
Wedding Party
Great course. Always in great shape.
Course is in decent condition. The course rangers/marshalls are what made me decide I will not be returning to this course. Having played many rounds of golf at many different courses I am familiar with slow play and the pace needed for the groups to play along smoothly. The group behind decided to call the clubhouse and send multiple rangers out to notify us that a "member has called and would like to play through"- you can see who has priority. The course employees were very rude and disrespectful of our patronage there that day. We had to wait about 20 minutes from when we finished the hole to when we could tee off next because they were so far behind us. A golfer in my group mentioned that he has had similar issues before at Quail Ridge regarding their rangers "wearing their badges" around the course and interfering when it was not necessary.
Nice course. Tim and his crew do a great job.
Good was bland, chicken was small and dried out. The outside tent we were in was freezing cold. And beer was $6 kind if ridiculois.
Great course for the price! Greens are undulating and quick. Perfect track to work on course management and testing your overall game.
Nice course
Very nice course great condition
Do not do your wedding here!!!
We had such a wonderful wedding and we couldn't have done it without Stacie! The space was beautiful and perfect for the amount of guests we had. It was a beautiful night and had access to the patio/fire pit. The food was incredible and was mentioned by multiple guests. Stacie even let us take some golf carts onto the course to take some pictures. She was so accommodating, punctual, and professional (all while having a brand new 4 week old baby)! We cannot say enough great things about this venue...highly recommend!!
Great course
Beautiful course which is both public and private. Already open for 2017. Lessons are available with the pro. The course is meticulously maintained. The club house has pretty good food. The best deal is to get a membership which includes cart and unlimited golf. If there isn't snow, they are usually open. We golfed in January 2017, a rarity in MI.
Seemed like a nice place. Attended a wedding there. Food was good.
Great condition fun course to play.
Great golf course. Very pretty and calm.
Great course. Well maintained.
If your looking for a place for your wedding reception definitely pass on this place. I was just there for my brother in-laws wedding and when we got there the center pieces weren't set up so the mother of the groom had to go in and fix them, also some of the center pieces that were rented ended up getting "lost" oh wait no we ended up finding them in the banquet mangers office the next day which is definitely an are you serious moment but when we confronted her she acted like "wow where were they?" Absolutely no remorse for ruining the bride and grooms wedding day. There were golfers walking in and out of the reception while the guests were walking in soo "reserved" means nothing apparently. Those were just a few things so if you think Stacie the banquet manager is good at her job she is not.
Great golf course. Very fair for all levels of plsyers.
Attended The Quail Ridge Golf Club for a wedding this past weekend. It was beautiful! All staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! Great venue for a wedding!
Fantastic experience. Stellar greens.
great course in excellent condition
Beautiful golf course, not a huge fan of all the blind tee shots! Also, no beer cart in the morning!
Was here for a wedsing. Smaller venue than I thought it would have been. Liked the outside patio.
Very nice course and the services was great
Just got married there last night! The venue was beautiful, although they may have been short staffed it wasn’t easily noticed. All staff were so friendly and accommodating the food was amazing! We worked with Stacie and she did everything she had promised. Everything worked out. Thank you for making this such a special day for me and my husband! The groom and groomsmen went golfing in the morning and the staff was amazing they had so much fun! The bridal suite was perfect and anything we asked for or needed was done. We did decide last minute to hire a coordinator with the help of her (Kate at Valley and Oak Events) and Stacie our day was perfect! I would recommend this venue to any brides looking for a venue! We got married in the tent and is was so beautiful. One of our kegs ran out and the staff quickly switched to cans of the same beer no one noticed. Everything was seamless. Everything that need to be changed or done got done! Thanks again Stacie and staff!
Well maintained course with some fun obstacles. Nice carts and good service at the clubhouse. My only complaint is it can take a while for the beer cart to come around.
If you are looking for a great round of golf look no further. Best value by far. Carts are newer and very clean. Course can be more challenging if you can carry it a little longer by playing the black tees. Plenty of drinking water on the course and ball washers on every hole unlike some other courses in the area. Greens are very quick even if they are a little damp this spring.
I debated for awhile whether or not to write a review but I decided that other brides need to be WARNED. I could go on and on about how they forgot this or did that wrong but all of that has been gone over before in previous reviews from May 3, 2019. I ask that Quail Ridge remove the phrase "the Staff at Quail Ridge Golf Club (the"Club") will work diligently to make your event a most joyous and memorable one." from their contract. The Club did manage to make it memorable but for all the wrong reasons, Stacie no one screws up that much and still blames miscommunication! Brides you WILL NEED a wedding coordinator for this venue.
Absolutely incredible wedding venue. Great picturesque backgrounds in all the wedding photos. Food was incredible... Both the chicken and steak were tender and cooked to PERFECTION! Can't think of a better venue for anyone to get married.
Great course with impeccable conditions.I really enjoyed the challenge,it was not overly long, but instead put a premium on shot placement and good putting, will definitely be back
My niece’s wedding reception was at this venue. It was a disaster. Stacy was the coordinator. Everything that was discussed was wrong. Her follow through was nonexistent. A girls wedding day should be the way that she wants it. I hope that if Stacy every has a daughter’s wedding to plan, that she does not have someone to work with like my niece and her family.
Loads of fun!!!
Great course....poor play management
Nightmare After a Blessed and beautiful Matrimony celebration at the Catholic Church, the day of a Bride & Groom’s dream turned into a Nightmare ! All mistake were made by Stacie, lady who “ coordenates “ the reception at this Venue! She did not get one thing out of her list right ! She was setting the room while guests were walking in . She lost decoration pieces and roses they’ve rented . She forgot to serve the appetizers and followed by the trashy and not enough food she had to serve us all ! Wowww It all becomes very serious when she serves alcohol to 16 years old and never each one of kids ID ! Very Serious ! Where are the authorities to CHECK THAT Place ? After all : A scar on our hearts will be carried forever
Great course and in really good shape!
This is a good golf course if you can carry your drives over the long grass in front of every tee box. It is a little over priced, but not terribly so.
Great golf course
The last three times I've played at Quail I asked the rate for our tee time, was quoted one rate, and then was told the rate was $5-15$ higher when I arrived. Not sure if this was a money grab or just a mistake, but 3 times in a row is pretty annoying. The course itself is nice, but being lied to about the already high price is a deal breaker for me and there are some other great options very close by.
Nice course. Bathroom worst I've ever seen that wasn't in a bar though. Clearly not cleaned in weeks. They should easily be able to afford a service once a week. But the course itself is top notch.
Gorgeous layout!
Amazing place to play...I know I should say a lot more, but really, just go play here! You won’t regret it!
Great place to golf, horrible place to have any event at the venue, however. Especially not a wedding. On the other hand, if you want poor service for all your closest friends and family, this is the place for you! If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t ruin what could be the most important day of someone’s life.
Nice course. Well maintained.
Loved my round at Quail Ridge. Absolutely beautiful Course that challenges you but doesn't overwhelm the average golfer. A little pricier for me but worth the extra bucks. At the eighteen tee with the sun fading a deer came right up to our tee box and chilled for a bit. A great way to spend a Friday evening
Went to s wedding reception here and it went off without a hitch. Food was good and the staff was awesome. They have an outside deck right off the event room. Highly recommend
Greens need work
One of the best public courses in the area, always in great shape, and reasonable rates.
Ran out of food and all but one type of wine at reception. Who does that!? Did not take responsibility and blamed guests. VERY cold in tent. No heaters.
Great layout
Slightly wet day but beautiful house.
Long course. I really liked it
Just had beers and gizzards. Service was great and the gizzards are fabulous!
Mistakes happen, but for that many mistakes to happen is unacceptable for a wedding reception. Stacy had the bride in tears, the mother of the bride too embarrassed to come in the building, and the wedding party scrambling to salvage the night. Do not rent this venue unless you manage the event yourself, Stacy is clearly incapable of the job, and too prideful to even admit she messed up.
Really a nice golf course all around. Well kept, moderately difficult, mature, elevation changes, beautiful land. They recently plugged and top dressed the greens, but I still really enjoyed the round.
Terrible place to go, the manager is a jerk.
I've been here three years now for golf outings any they are very accommodating. Course is in great shape and they do a good job of keeping the pace of play in line.
This is a fantastic course. Staff was friendly early in the morning. The range was in good condition. Just be ready. Its a bit challenging, tons of solid dog legs, and challenging par 3's. I'll be back again for sure.
Great golf course I wish they had a starter and range officers to keep play going at a good pace. There have been times when I've turned a corner to have a group of 6 in front of me... out of nowhere?? A starter would be a great addition
One of the best public golf courses in West Michigan. Large fairways. Excellent greens. The tee to green experience is above par.
Beautiful venue TERRIBLE service. I have never seen such a lack of customer service until this place. The complete and utter incompetence by Stacie Hackney is staggering. Lost 10 centerpieces and head table flowers in her garbage pile of an office, alcohol was given to the brides underage sister, changed the food menu without consulting bride or groom, no appetizers forced bridal party to rush pictures so guests weren't starving and bride and groom did not get pictures taken together. Wrong color napkins, lost money envelope to pay the live band, golfers kept walking through the venue, had to ask for the cake to be cut and then it wasn't served just placed on the bar. Many other issues kept adding up the mother of the bride didn't even want to come back in the building she was so embarrassed. Stacie's lack of compassion and overall it's not my fault attitude was the icing on the entire evening. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS VENUE!
terrible service, don't book your wedding there!!!
Great layout and design. Play was a little slow, but that was to be expected for this day (first time out for many golfers). Will play again, definitely.
Fun challenging course...great friendly staff!
Ruined my friends wedding.
nice place for outdoor wedding. wedding location was a little hard for guests to find...no signs visible when we arrived. Saw a small sign after the wedding. Nice venue otherwise.
I just recently had my wedding there. Worst mistake of my life. I put all my trust in them, had meetings with the event coordinator starting 6 months before the wedding to make sure everything would go perfectly. The day of the wedding my mother in law had to go help set guest tables AS guests were coming in (we were told the staff would do that), not only that but the seating chart table was not placed where we planned with the event coordinator (guests were not seating at the right places), there were lost centerpieces and rose petals (which they blamed us for and were later found in the event coordinator’s office). I also couldn’t take professional pictures with my husband because I found out that appetizers that were asked for were not served (and again they blamed us for it even though we discussed it during the 6 month period). The pasta bar I asked for didn’t come with all the options that were supposed to, and had family members tell me they did not have salad. There were also tables in which there were not enough rolls for everyone. Napkins were pink when our colors were red and silver (and they knew that). And then my 16 year old sister was served champagne even though I told them there were minors. This is just a little bit of what happened that day. Instead of having fun, my family and I were doing damage control. I will never have my wedding day back and the worst part is that the event coordinator had zero remorse for anything. I am heartbroken. Run away if you have time and if not, make sure you leave family members in charge or hire a wedding coordinator to do the work. Quail Ridge’s event coordinator WILL mess up and WILL blame you.
Awful wedding reception service. Stacey was the wedding coordinator and she dropped the ball in every area she could. Poor communication, horrible service and a smug attitude of denial. Missing food that was ordered, missing center pieces and nothing was prepared in time for the guests to arrive for the reception. This is not even mentioning the numerous golfers that felt obligated to walk right through the party because they had not set out reservation signs. If you are considering having a celebration of any kind, especially a wedding, keep looking. You wont find what you are looking for at Quail Ridge, thanks Stacey for nearly destroying the bride and grooms wedding day.
I like the layout and it's reasonable priced.
Great course. Well maintained with friendly staff. They don't manage leagues well. My last league, they sent 4 leagues off the same 9 holes every night while sending 1 league off the other. 10+ minute waits at every hole. The late league struggled to finish most nights.
Great course.
Nice course
Absolutely wonderfully kept course!!! Pleasure to play!
Terrible event coordinator. Don’t book your wedding there!
Awesome golf course!!
Great place to golf...nice range and great food from the bar and grill.
Great venue, wonderful food and awesome service. We received many compliments from our guests at our daughter's wedding reception. Steve, Julie and their team were great and fun to work with. They made our daughter's day live up to her "awesome-themed" expectations. The wedding party really enjoyed taking golf carts out to take pictures on the golf course. Everyone had a fun time. They made this day go smoothly and worry free. We highly recommend Quail Ridge for your event.
This place is amazing, the course is in excellent shape and everything about the course is perfect.
Course is in good shape and depending on the tees you play could be very challenging but fair. A little pricey but not over the top.
Good layout. In decent condition given the recent rain. I would say I am disappointed I became a member at this course this year. It is hard to get the tee time at times also they are booked so often you end up playing super slow rounds. They have leagues every day during the week so its impossible to play after work and even when starting before the leagues you cant get in 18 because of how many groups are on the course slowing play down by the time tou do make the turn leagues are starting and they dont let you finish the round. I enjoy the course but will not pay for a membership here ever again.
Fairways and ruff were in great condition - greens fast and spotty.
Challenging course but enjoyable
Overpriced. It is an above average course as far as design and condition, but other courses are equal to or better in both regards and not nearly as expensive. Will never pay for this course again unless they drop the prices quite a bit.
A beautiful Golf Course. It is a must play for everyone
Nice golf club, lots of things, and very big
Challenging greens
This is a fun fair and challenging course. You need a practice round to get a feel for this course and the layout if you want to score. Greens and fairways we're in immaculate shape and both holding the ball from a recent rain. Was surprised at the 11+ stimple.
Outstanding golfer course. Always in immaculate condition, great staff
Service and food terrible!
My best friend got married here last week. Wrong color napkins, people decorating the place still as guests arrived, underwhelming food, bad attitude from the manager, things being lost, appetizers not being served. Overall an AWFUL and extremely stressful experience. The waiting staff was very sweet, though.
Nice course. All the rain has it very green. Good drainage on greens made them fast and difficult.
