I've golfed a lot of courses, many nicer, and never been treated like the way we were treated here. We called ahead a week in advance and were treated like we were drunk amateurs. Constantly watched and told we needed keep up even though we were waiting on people in front of us and we weren't even drinking like many others. I'll never golf at this course again. The guy who took this course over is a joke. It's like he had a preditermined opinion of how we were going to play so he drove around and watched us like a hawk. Went there to have a good time and left pissed. Do yourself a favor, golf somewhere else and have a good time.
Response: I understand, but there's no reason you couldn't say something before we went out. Like, "It's been a bit rainy, please stay away from the greens and any wet spots with the carts and be mindful." If i ran a golf course id say to please stay away from the greens everyday to everyone. To regular golfers, that may be a given but guys who dont golf often probably dont know any better. Regardless he wasnt "on the fringe" like you claim and for you to actually get out and move the cart was a little unnecessary. Just say something, it already happened. Your course is a public course, not a club and you were not accommodating whatsoever. We would have been better off just showing up at one of our local courses. Also telling that group they need to keep pace was a joke, they were waiting on the next group just as we were waiting on the next group as well. Not starting anyone off the back was a bit ridiculous as well, especially if they were doing only 9 holes. As for the pool cue shot... really? Your going to fuss about that. Well fyi... on a public course, I guarantee that goes on everyday, it's called having fun and I seen worse from other golfers... even on that day. Ive played leagues where you have to putt like that on a certain hole. If youre going to throw a fit over that, go run a club. I watched a guy standing right next to you when you were in your cart pour the rest of his beer on the green and you didn't even bat an eye. Regarding the boots, he knows better now, we made that clear.
