Loved the layout, makes you think about how to approach every shot. Played a mid Saturday afternoon round, not the courses fault, but every green was a minefield within 10ft of the hole from players dragging and scuffing their feet, and a few of the cups showed minor damage from players that dip their putter in the cup to retrieve their ball. Once again this was in no way the fault of course management nor the the fault of the groundskeeping staff. I would have given the course a 4 1/2, possibly a 5 star rating had the bunkers not been like playing off asphalt with gravel sprinkled on top.

Played it for first time today, 9/21/2019, and I am thoroughly impressed. The layout is unique and after 4 holes it is clear this is an "up north" course in southern Michigan. Very well manicured (some greens had some bald spots) with generous landing areas for tee shots. Greens were almost all tiered which rewarded accurate shots. Good fun! A "must play"!

Great golf course. Several tee's, so you can play to your handicap. Great greens, receptive to good shots and smooth, fast. A little more expensive than most courses in Jackson, but worth it. I recommend every golfer to try it at least once. You'll love it.

Incredible place to play golf. Most fairways are wide but the trouble can sneak up fast. This might be the three putt capital of Michigan because the greens are yuge! Each hole is basically its own area where you can’t see the next hole. Very impressive place to play golf. Could use a halfway house between 9 and 10.

My favorite place to play within a 60 mile radius of my hometown of Toledo. It is the closest course to Agusta National that I will probably ever play. I try to get there at least once a year.

Gr8 course. Greens are big and receptive however they have lots of undulation. Worth the drive from Novi MI. Will be back again.

Enjoyed the course and the staff was professional. Shot a 88....not bad. My overall experience was dampened because someone picked up my gloves and to date have not returned them. I thought (I was told) Golfers were honest people - just goes to show you that Golfers are no better than the general public. I'm pissed, not because of the money but someone has something that belongs to me. GEW UPDATE......SOMEONE TURNED IN THE GLOVES...COURSE CALLED ME...MAILING GLOVES OUT TO ME. Well, the failth has been restored. THANKS - LOVE GOLFERS.

The course in itself is nice and the clubhouse is quite small and is not as "grand" as the course. The grass is well manicured and putting is tough. With it being quite the distance from home coupled with the higher price for a senior, it is a destination course for my group and play will be limited to one or two times a year.

Beautiful layout. However, the greens have a lot depressions from "burned out" areas and they also have a hydraulic leak on one of the greens mowers that mowed a good handful of greens.

Beautiful course... My only disappointed was that at the turn you do not go past the clubhouse. It was my first time there and I was unaware of this, plus there was no beverage cart on the course! The weather wasn't the greatest, but the pro shop should have maybe informed us of the fact? I will return, I'll just be better prepared.

A little pricey for Jackson area golf courses, but well worth it to play a very well groomed course. Greens are like glass and roll very true. The guys in the pro-shop are always friendly and willing to give tips on the course. It rained on us at the 14th hole, and the ranger came out and gave us rain checks for another 18 with cart, and we didn't even have to ask !!! GREAT COURSE, FREINDLY STAFF!!

I am not a "golfer" and only reason I was their war for a scramble and found the grounds in great shape and the course very challenging. If you are looking for a chalange it is a must.

One of my absolute favorite golf courses I've ever played, from coast to coast and everything in between. If you play twilight to get the cheaper rates I don't think you can find better value at any course in the country. The design is sheer perfection - there's not a single hole on the course that I'd call unfair or boring. The natural beauty and wildlife is almost distracting. Unfortunately the conditions and course upkeep has taken a dip in the 15 years I've been playing here. The greens aren't nearly as fast or smooth as they used to be and the fairways/bunkers are no longer pristine - but everything is still perfectly playable.

It is a very very long golf course but the greens there are very nice except for when you chip on your will have a tendency to run. Very challenging course also on bright and beautiful day are the best days to go to the Grande.

Its a top notch course, I don't think anyone can complain about the conditions out there. The price is pretty high considering there are so many other great courses in Jackson offering very similar quality at a much lower rate. I think this place gets a little bit too much hype.

Brian, Steve and the staff and top notch. Very easy going atmosphere, everything you expect and more out of a golf course. Challenging with an Northern Michigan feel to it. Well maintained and affordable. If your a 6 hdcp or less its a must play course, you will defiantly come back for more!
