We had our wedding reception here and it was worth every penny! Its such a unique venue and naturally beautiful. Toni was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She made planning a wedding easy! The food was amazing, all our guests said it was the best large event catering they'd ever had. The potatoes especially are to die for.

I give it a 5 star not because of my game on that day but because of how hospitable the gentleman behind the counter showed along with his attentiveness was fantastic. I actually just called there to find out his name which is Paul. I feel we are always quick to write a complaint but not as eager to a job well done. So, thank you Paul and because of you I will definitely be back soon. By the way I golf like it was my first day. Lol....

Decent course But rumor has it ,it is closing down in a year or so. To become the county fairgrounds? Some challenging holes.

I tried to play here on Memorial day, but couldn't even complete the first 9 holes as it was an unplayable course. The course doesn't have good drainage so i often encountered large wet, muddy spots on the fairway. The grass wasn't well looked after so often my fairway balls would be left on mud than grass. There were also plenty of weeds everywhere, showing the lack of maintenance the course sees.

Went to a wedding/wedding reception here on 6/8 and can't say enough about the service, food was incredible, and just an all around pleasant experience, THANK YOU DEER RUN

We went for the Friday night fish dinner. Got there at 7:30 and ordered our dinners shortly thereafter. At 8:20 still hadn't got our food. We didn't get our dinner until 8:30 and when we tried to get more fish were told that they weren't cooking anymore because they were stopping food service in a half hour.

Bathrooms are not ADA complaint, those in wheelchairs are unable to roll up to the counter to wash their hands without turning sideways.

Golfed 9 holes here twice this year. February & the end of March. Apparently they don't hire anyone to clean debris on the course. I can understand the course might be dirty in February (golf in Feb is unheard of) but while every other course in the area is ready for spring golf, Deer Run isn't. This is the 3rd year in a row that spring golf here sucks. I won't bother golfing here unless it's after June.

Nice course, the front is relatively short with some water hazards. The back is much longer. Overall the course is nice, it's not championship golfing, but for the average golfer, it does the trick.

We went for the fish fry, on Fridays only. The place seats around 200 and it was full. Great value. Fried or baked pollack, redskins or fries, and a great clam chowder.

Great fish fry! The fish was amazing, the baked fish being packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. This location will serve the Kent County Youth Fair nicely. If they keep the fish fry going it will continue to draw community and noncommunity members alike. We arrived a little after 5 and the restaurant had over 200 reservations for that night. That is a testament to it's food and hometown feel. I'd recommend this food to everyone even if you have to drive some distance to get there, it is worth it!

Course is in good condition and greens are in excellent shape. The course is long and has some demanding holes. I would suggest consider which tees fit your game before teeing off. The course is a bit out of the way but only 5 to 10 minutes from I-96.

My friends got married and had the reception here. Decor was okay but it is old inside and chairs are stained floor stained in places. Definitely needs some updating and improvement. The wedding was nice and such but definitely needs improvement. The golf course itself looked good. So shooting around of golf good place, everyone was friendly and drinks and food was good. Just needs a face lift.

We used Deer Run for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, the service was excellent and the manager always had answers to our questions before we could even ask them. The food is amazing, and we got compliments on it all night long. The plates, silverware, and linens are more than we could have expected and we were very impressed with the thoroughness of the setup and the service provided by the staff. The manager, Toni, really goes above and beyond to be helpful and make sure everything is taken care of. We had only minimal decorations, the hall itself looks great, and the bar there was great for our guests. The price was very fair, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. If you can get this place booked, we couldn't offer a higher recommendation, it was simply amazing.

Greens in excellent condition last Friday.Took daughter out & played the front 9, her first time. Just had her hit with 5,7 irons until the greens, then putter. We both enjoyed it. Did not keep track of shot count, just hitting the ball!

Went early and we had no problem getting 18 holes in under 3 hours( 2 some). Some of the greens in shaded areas were a bit sparse but really no complaints.
