This place is kind of like Revere Beach. In one sense you're excited because... "Yay I'm at a beach (golf course)", and in the other sense you're like "wow this is umm... not great." Would give one star except the planes overhead distract you from the smells coming from the swamps around the greens.

Norwood CC has always been in good shape when I’ve played. Sometimes they do have to close all or part of the course when there is a lot of rain because it is essentially on a bog. It is a very flat course making it easy to walk and as a casual golfer I’ve enjoyed playing here.

Paid way too much money to play on a course that was absolutely soaked. Horrendous greens with sprinkler heads in the middle of the putting surface. 2.5 hours for 9 hole pace. On the 10th tee you become “target practice” for the people for the range. Don’t waste your time and money

Words can not describe how despicable of a course Norwood Country Club is. If you like swimming, this is the course for you, because every step is like someone pouring 2 gallons of swamp water in your shoes. Pro-shop employees are nice, but they seem to be oblivious to how bad of a course this is, charging outrageous green fees week after week. Do yourself a favor and do not play this course, for the anger you will express will, in fact, raise your blood pressure. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

This place is flat not a challenge and it is so wet. Plus there is no farway which makes it really annoying. The grass is thick a not kept in good condition my ball got loss a few times because it got stuck in the ground

This used to be a great place to come have fun but not recently. The course is in okay shape and pretty easy. Here lately, it seems there is a certain group that has made issues over minor things that made the experience less than enjoyable. They forgot what it was like to just come out and have fun playing a round of golf.

The Norwood Country Club, golf course and Driving range is a great place for small gatherings in their function hall, a round of golf and a chance to work on your golf drives. As a professional photographer, I have photographed weddings, anniversary parties and meetings in their functional hall. The food is good and the staff is great.

Did not really enjoy this course. Planes will fly over your head very low altitude every 10 minutes very disrupting. The rough is extremely rough and very wet good luck hitting a good Chip Shot. Probably the worst greens I have ever played this late in the season seems like they aerated them way to long after the thaw.

I feel they should have to take the Country Club out of the name. How is it 80 degrees out and still a swamp? The staff is nice, but the couse is not worth anyone's time or money.

Turf area a bit worn. Card reader want working so we had to go into the club house across the parking lot. Very basic.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars booked 18 holes with carts booking confirmed all set. Turned up and were told the front 9 was closed and back 9 was walking only no warning nothing when I said to the guy why did they confirm 18 holes with cart when they clearly knew that 1/2 the course was closed Absolute clowns and a waste of a great day for golf and there aren't many left before winter They can shove Norwood country club up their hole which by the way is no more a country club than Dunkin donuts is. Unless u consider a shack on the side of a highway a country club

Of all the public courses in Massachusetts, this is definitely one of them. Set in a swamp, even on a hot, dry, beautiful day you will find standing water in fairways and clippings from mowing the course strewn about. If it wasn’t priced 50 dollars for a Saturday round and if “country club” wasn’t in the name- perhaps the review would be better. Unfortunately the expectations set by name and price are not lived up to by the course itself. Get more for your dollar by going to Newton Commonwealth (same management group!) or Robert Lynch in Brookline. Just really not worth the price they charge.

It’s a swamp with greens right now it’s so wet - almost unplayable. Maybe in August when it gets really dry it might be worth playing.

Hackers! No one cares about rules or pace of play. I waited an hour to play just for a horrible 3 some to jump in front. Literally waited 7 minutes per shot from the 10th hole on!

For a muni, you really can't beat this track. Driving range always has open mats, putting green is representative of green speed and the club house is positioned at the turn for easy "refreshment refills". Good price, fun holes, what more do you want?

Only two stars because it was still golf. But this is probably one of the worst courses I have ever played in my life. I usually frequent DW field in Brockton or Ridder in Whitman, If I didn’t want that 650 time this am I would have played at either of those locations. Figured since it was Norwood that the course would be beautiful. I was very wrong. Don’t waste the money playing here and just go else where
