Four of us played the course on Tuesday, August 9,2016. Management should be ashamed and embarrassed. With our Tee time book the cost was $49. The fellow in the pro shop advised us the normal weekday rate was $65 and the weekend was $75. Last week we played Clifton park in Baltimore City. The cost was $36 and the conditions were significantly better. While the layout of the course was OK, the conditions were easily the worst of any course I have played in years. I would have to play for free to even consider playing there again. On star is a stretch!

This post is for the food. The food here used to be fantastic. But now the place is under new ownership and they have done a complete overhaul of all entrees and desserts. There were four of us who ordered all different dishes, and no one finished their food because it just wasnt good. I had chicken and pasta. It was literally just chicken and pasta, no seasonings, no sauces, and no flavor. The most plane Jane meal ever. Hopefully enough customers complain so they change because it is a nice place and has the potential to be great.

Thanksgiving Buffet was very disappointing. Turkey and mashed potatoes were good. Gravy was lumpy. Pot Roast was undercooked and tough. Stuffing and bread pudding was over cooked and browned. The cod lacked the crab as stated on the menu, sitting in a watery juice. Service was bad. Staff couldn't keep up with filling drinks or keeping the food on the buffet full. The dessert table was cheap and poorly thought out by serving frozen store bought pies. The options for the chocolate fountain again cheap and poorly executed. Would not return!

I've been playing this course since it first opened in 2001. As of today September 2013 I can safely say that its never been in worse shape! In fact I've never played a course in worse shape. Even at the reduced price of $55 it was still an enormous waste of money and an embarrassment to the guests I invited to play. It's a shame because it has such a wonderful layout.

Don't waste your money. We went there for the Mother's Day Brunch. The price is normally $25 a person and includes mimosa's and Bloody Mary's. Right when we sit down the server tells us, "The cost is $10 more than usual and we eliminated the mimosa's and Bloody Mary's." What a joke! The food was mediocre at best. The cost of the brunch did not even include coffee. I was trying to surprise my wife and take her some where nice with our two daughters and didn't expect to spend $100 for a brunch. I also might add that they added 20% gratuity to ALL checks for a buffet. I can maybe understand 15% and let me tip additional if I want, but to force people to pay 20% when I am getting all my own food is ridiculous. We were extremely disappointed and will never go back. I like to golf, but I won't even give them that business anymore either. There are plenty of other better brunches in the area that you could spend your money on.

Played there for a fund raiser on 9/6/18. The course was in terrible shape with bunkers that looked like cesspools, (#8) and burned out fairways. They need some major repairs

We took guests for the Easter buffet and we’re very disappointed. We have done this every year for the past several years and will not be doing it again. The service was poor, waitress inattentive, and when we questioned how she split the check, she actually rolled her eyes! I would NOT have given this waitress the 20% gratuity that was automatically added! The buffet staff were yelling across the room to one another. The food was mediocre at best. The plates were not clean and we had to go through several plates in the stack to find a clean one! Additionally, the buffet tables had food dropped everywhere and no one was attempting to clean anything. I’m typically one who can find the positives and rarely complain but this was so disappointing that I can’t be quiet. If just one of these things had been an issue, I would not be writing an unfavorable review but for the price I would expect better all around quality.

Worst experience - Saturday 7/15/2017 - there was a party in the private room next to the dining room. The music in the room was so loud and obnoxious that you could not hear your guests at the table. Our waitress apologized over and over and said that the door to the room was broken so it would not stay shut. I usually never write bad reviews but be warned that if there is a party in the room next to the dining room make a reservation somewhere else.

I had heard a lot of good things about this place. That must of been in the past because my experience was this place is a poorly run, with food more in line with that of Waffle House. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. 25 minutes AFTER our scheduled reservation, we were seated. 10 minutes later a waiter finally showed up to take our drink order. 15 minutes after that some of the drinks showed up - several were wrong. To get to the buffet, you had to wade through a MASSIVE horde of people waiting to be seated. When you got to the buffet, you frequently found pans of EMPTY. When you did find something available, it was overcooked and tough to chew. Frankly, I could not be more disgusted with the entire experience. We brought the issue to the manager and heard nothing but excuses yet not a single apology. Blah blah blah computer issues yadda yadda. I guess the computers were responsible for the food being over cooked, the trays being empty, the waiters being slow/non-responsive and just utter and total chaos through the evening.

The course is actually a 4 star, however, I rated it a 3 star, because the green fees are a bit too high. Plenty of other courses around that are equally as good, if not better, and cheaper. To sum it up - It's in good shape, scenic, fun, yet challenging, but expensive. They don't offer 9 hole play too.

My Queens treated me for my 49th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious The Duet crab cake, Lamb chops and green beans was cooked to perfection. The cheese cake was out of this world. I will be returning.

Had lunch there today 3/9/18 and was very disappointed in the MD crab soup. Good flavor but too many potatoes and barely a few "strands" of crab meat, if that. My mom had the chicken salad and it tasted good but had some gristle in it. Her Caeser Salad was good. Probably won't be eating here again anytime soon.

Not a place to seek out for quality gastronomy but if your too busy to cook Easter dinner yourself this year it's a decent substitute. The food lacked consistency between tray refills and the soup was poorly made. The chocolate fountain was very nice but the fruit wasn't properly ripe. The bread pudding was nothing special but it all made for a sweet end to the meal. Service was lacking as well. But compared to the totality of restaurant possibilities in the greater Baltimore area for Easter I have to give it 3 stars. For perspective.

I was flip flopping on not wanting to write this review we took 6 people to dinner paid a nearly 300 tab for cold, tough tasteless meat. Forcibly donated an already included 20% tip for below substandard service on a BUFFET!!!! Hello 20% for a water girl - not personal it’s just we were not served.). Complained about not wanting to sit it a tent to eat my Easter Dinner- was told I’m sorry but there is nothing we can do. Mountain Branch has declined over the past two years I think it’s time to stop patronizing a restaurant that went wayyyy to far down the toilet this year- the goal was apparently throw class an quality out the door and figure out how many people you can cattle prod thru a food line and feed substandard food too! Yep Done - NEVER going back. Way to many good restaurants to choose from - Hell Golden Corral would have been better than today. Would have done no stars but it was not an option.

The brunch buffet on Sunday is wonderful. There is a good selection of foods all very well prepared. The poached eggs were perfection. There are ramps for those with mobility issues but the seats and tables are pretty tight in places. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and the wait staff very pleasant and helpful although a bit slow this last visit.

I want to say that I understand there apparently was some rain and I know it's been a hot summer but cmon guys. This course is the only one in the area that looks like this and is in this poor condition. I played a tournament today and there was literally no grass in the fairways except where they started to overseed. It was absolutely the worst conditions I have ever seen a course in my life, worst. This course should be shutdown for the remainder of the year until they can get control of the fairways again because it's almost criminal to take anyone's money to play there right now. Guys, you have to do better than this and fix the problem. This is absolutely not a rain storm and then heat problem, really looks like a green keeper issue because the greens and rough looked great. One star to play this now is too high.

I don't think there are enough nice things that can be said about how beautiful this restaurant is. It is truly an experience. Not only are you being engulfed in beautiful scenery and a gorgeous atmosphere, but the food options to boost are beyond mouth watering. When you get your food, prepare for all of your senses to implode and explode simultaneously. My family have become instant regulars to this locations and it is always an exciting day when we know we will be making a stop here. The staff really love there jobs and believe in their food and really the atmosphere that is brought to each and every guest. You can see that by the way that they interact with every new or regular patron. My extended family lives out of state and they are always excited to go here when they come in town for a visit.

Pretty good experience. Met a friend for drinks and dinner. I had the Greek salad with chicken (bartender recommended blackened so I said sure ... turned out to be a great recommendation!) ... and my friend had the shrimp salad sandwich with a side salad. Both our dishes were great! It was a little pricey... and there was a wedding party that had strolled in ....super intoxicated which you could imagine ruined the atmosphere ... Food definitely worth trying!

Sorry to say I will not come back again. The food was good and service was good. But when you are going to pay the high price for food you would hope the atmosphere would be pleasant. Was not the case last night. We had a group of 7 celebrating a birthday. There was a party in an banquet room next to all the seating in the restaurant. The music was so loud we could not hear our own conversations. The manager was not accommodating at all. This was our go to place for a nice quiet dinner in the past but not anymore.

Terrible service!!! Waited 25 minutes and asked 2 employees to be waited on and were totally ignored. Walked in at 7pm and place was empty but was told we couldn't sit in restaurant, only the bar or outside. Sat outside for 10 minutes with only 1 other table occupied and waitress helped them and ignored us. I walked in and asked if we had to order at the bar or be helped at the table and was told someone will come to the table. After a few minutes someone asked us if we were helped and again said no still waiting. Well 15 minutes later still nothing so walked out. Even the other customer noticed and commented about the terrible service as we walked away.

My family and I have been going here for years for Sunday brunch. It has always been excellent. We haven't been in a while and decided to go for Mother's Day. BAD DECISION! The buffet has gotten ordinary. For $36 a person I expect good food. They have taken away the prime rib and now their eggs benidict is served on a quarter of an english muffin. For those prices I can't have my egg on a whole half of a muffin. Needless to say, they have lost customers. There are plenty of holiday buffets in the area for cheaper and with better food.

I played this course for the first time on the CBS Player's card so I was able to avoid the high weekend green fees. With that being said, I'd gladly return to play at the regular rates. The course was in incredible condition and I can't remember playing on nicer fairways. Fun layout, nice greens. Only drawback was the lack of ball-washers..

If I could give zero stars I would. This course is in terrible shape. Little to no grass in the fairways. All dirt or mud. Fairways and rough has been over seeded but little to no grass in the fairways and the rough hasn't been mowed in several weeks. NOT WORTH the money.
