REVIEWS OF Maple Run Golf IN Maryland

Andrew Borys

It could do with some t.l.c, but a very nice course. Greens are nicely countoured, some challenging holes. #11 is a nice 318yd downhill risk reward hole. Greens are fine, but rest of the course could do better. However, the green fees reflect that. It's a fun layout.

Love this course. This is a great course to learn on as I am teaching my wife to play. Great staff and well maintained. I like it because it is challenging also

Michael Johnson

Friendly staff. Fairways had some weeds but greens were in good shape.

Bruce Mort

wont be back played 2 years ago , the supposed pro gladly let a group of 6 in front of our group almost 4 hrs for 9 holes the only reason I'm giving 1 star is he gave me a full refund

Richard Byrd

Chris Masker

Great prices needs some work in a few holes

Stephen Keilholtz

Like most courses in the area it has been soaked with rain. The greens are in good shape but the fair ways are a little bare . I always find this course fun to play , it is well worth your seventeen dollars.

Paul Smith

Awful course, rude employees, a few oldtimers who golf there act like they run the place, one old geeser, some guy named Chaz, who is like a troll, considers himself the "starter", doesnt even work there, very rude old fart. Always muddy fairways, a billion nats, sometimes 6 people golf together, so it takes 5 hours to shoot 18 behind them. Its basically a cornfield with 18 cups. Try another course in Frederick, its more like golf.

Calvin Bowman

Good course for the price maintain well

Frankie Romeo

I had a great time playing scramble with friends. This course was well maintained for the price. It's a scenic area and the management is friendly.

A low rent, barely maintained golf course in an unsafe neighborhood. My car was vandalized while sitting in the parking lot.

A great golf course for the price! This isn't going to cost you $100 for a round. It's a great every day track, interesting layout with very nice greens. You should have a great time!

David McClelland

Inexpensive course. In so so condition

Joe Smith

It's been years since I played Maple Run. Our group had played it many times before. It's not being maintained well. Other courses are in better shape.

Price was great, greens were in great shape, but fairways could use some thicker grass.

Great track for the regular joe. Fairways and Greens are in great shape. The cart part is at times pretty rugged, but if you go in with the right expectations you will leave happy. $30.00 for 18 holes on a weekend is hard to beat. Great place to learn the game.

Good course for the price. Nice people working there. Greens on the front nine are tricky. Overall the course is in okay shape. Some very interesting holes. All in all, worth a try if you are passing through the area.

The cart paths were potholes and tree roots were coming through. It wasn’t paved all the way around the course. Didn’t expect much for Feb but still the course was not well maintained. There was standing water everywhere. Being in the fairway was a punishment. The “club house” was a shack. I’m not going back unless someone else pays. Then still maybe not.

Great value for golf. Greens are usually in great shape.

Jonathan Adams

Good course for the price fairways could use alil love and some water but other than that nice

Edward Caballero

Great time. Nice people good course My grandson first time did great

Colton Maczuga

Decent course for the price. I've noticed at least during the week, a group of guys basically run the course and do what they want. I made a reservation on Golfnow for 7:02, no one got there until after then. Then started giving carts to the group of guys who got there after me. I basically had to force my way up front. Then on the 10th, a group of two cut in front of me. The course is great, but these guys ruined it for me.

Kram Nosretep

Nice course. Cart chick was HOT!!!!!!! But, 65$ to play in the cold rain? What?

Dog track of a golf course. Sand traps are made of dirt or rocks, overgrown fairways, un trimmed rough, questionable yardage distances, muddy back 9, lots of puddles, and not much of a cart path. Other than that it's a great place to play. Pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for right?

Beginners course. Can find much better for the price

Robin Hartmann

You get what you pay for.. Probably cheapest 18 holes in Fred County.. Great for a hack like me :). Best to lower your expectations before you go and you will be pleasantly surprised. Yeah, traps aren't maintained that well and some fairways are rough but honestly its not that bad and to tell you the truth very scenic on a nice day. Laid back course and never had to wait to tee up.. As for food fare.. you might be able to get boiled hot dog and a bag of chips in the barn-shack of a club house. If you want a more fancy meal than that then best bring your own bagged lunch and eat in your car. Bon appetite and have FUN!

Golf Course: 3/5 hodgepodge. some holes are well kept and taken care of, and some holes look like your playing in a field that held a nickelback concert the night before. There are many steams that flow through the course which adds a nice natural element to the course but i picked up 5 beer cans in the streams. This is not the courses fault but rather the patrons. The sand traps are not well kept as many of them have been back-filed and look barren. Wide fairways are nice and shrubery is really nice. The course is nice for a quazi serious golfer looking for a cheap course. It would be really nice if more attention was paid to the clubhouse and the traps. The clubhouse: 2/5 Small, and does not offer much to look at. The people are really nice and knowledgeable. I'm not impressed at the kitchen and have never had the courage to order anything from there because im scared. The clubhouse need to be torn down but im sure the funding isnt there. Potentially a great course, hit or miss.

For the price and the greens a great experience, Not P.B. Dye but factoring in the cost all and all not a bad package!
