The course was in prime shape today and we were hitting off grass at the practice range (instead of the usual mats.) Greens were fast and true. This is one of the top three courses among the nine operated by Montgomery County.

Will not play ever again . Especially in winter. $65 to play in winter no tee boxes marked for which tees to hit from or distances on par 3's. Cart path only. 100 150 .and 200 not marked well at all . Doesn't take any money to buy rebar and some paint and mark the center of the fairways. Just slows down pace when you have to walk around and look for distances . Rip off . Much better courses in the area for half the price. MO Co has really messed up the county course system.

With many forced carries from the tee, narrow fairways, tall grass areas, high sloping bunkers protecting small greens, this is the most challenging course in the Montgomery County Golf Course system. Expect to lose a lot of golf balls. Well maintained course, nice clubhouse and good pace of play.

I liked the course. The grounds were well-maintained, difficulty was good, and pace of play was nice. The two times that I played Hampshire Greens, there were some "hole-hoppers" [guys riding around looking for an empty hole to play] late in the evening right before sunset. It's not an unfamiliar story - that's the life of a twilight player at any golf course, but I thought that was odd for a wide open course of that size. I don't particularly understand their pricing... I last played there on weekend twilight... in the summer... and that price was cheaper than what the website is now showing for a weekday twilight in January. Weird. I'm thinking that it's a mistake. I'll have to call before making the hour long drive.

One of the better public courses in Montgomery County. Course conditions are always very good. Pace of play is never a problem. Not wide open or tight but somewhere in between. A little overpriced in the same way that all golf in the DC Metro area is. Great weekday twilight rate.

For a senior player, the yardage is just about right at just under 6,000 yards from the green tees. Well laid out and very fast greens. You can score here, but stay out of the long rough. There are places where a bad slice will end up in somebody's back yard. Carts 100% of the time due to the distance between some holes.

Starter was very rude to our group, as we were trying to get organized. We were not perfect in our trying to get everyone out and in the carts. He and his buddy were very unpleasant, I had to wonder if they thought we as black men should even be allowed on your course. Not a very welcoming experience.

Hampshire Greens is a beautiful course nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are always in good shape. Pace of play is never a problem here and if you live/work close by like I do, they'll let you stay out until dark! Oh, and the prices are a bargain!

Very nice course. It's fun to experience what a fairly expensive country club golf course would be like. The Toll Brothers pop n serve McMansions are a testament to the cluelessness of American developers. Instead of the ugly monoculture of 5,000 square foot houses, they could have easily mixed in 200-300 tasteful luxury townhouses and perhaps a few 5-10 story condos. It's the empty nesters who would love to live in the more sensibly sized dwellings, and live on a golf course.

Played a twilight round on a Saturday in June for $30 with a cart. Honestly one of the best deals I have ever found. The course was in great shape from the tees to the greens. The greens were just great, rolling ~10 and really smooth. The course is a bit tricky and difficult. From the tips, it's one of the harder 6800 courses I have seen. Best deal I have found in the DC area and will definitely play here again.

Very nice course for a public facility. I'm not normally a huge fan of courses that generally borders houses at every hole but this one was planned well enough to avoid risking smashing my ball into someone's window.

The last time I was here my stuff ended up getting lost. I tried to raise the issue with the management but they informed me that the security cameras were off on that particular day. I ended up not getting my items back

Played on a week day and was every quite. The course lay out is awesome, loved the view. The fairways are in great condition and not to tight, have a enough room for a miss. The rough still gives you a chance to get out. The greens were Aerated , but it was worth it. Must Play!
