Challenging Course

Solid and walkable track. Relatively short but definitely not easy. Big difference between the white and blue tees. I will say skip the blues unless you hit a draw off the tee. Lots of little quirks to this course which gives it more replay value. There are corners you can cut at times but play what you see your first time around. This would be a fantastic scramble course. Greens were near perfect. They couldn't make them any faster due to some of the slope on the greens (especially holes 9 and 18). Hole 13 is a bear. Not that long but the course goes from relatively wide open to really narrow. This is also where the course's conditions started to wane. Lots of areas with little sun and therefore sparse grass. They have some tee boxes out there that just have a mat on them because there's just not enough sunlight. Thankfully they weren't in play from the tips. Practice green is really nice. Driving range is just okay (apparently the range and the course are owned by two different parties). Mats are worn but the range balls were in good shape. Not a lot of space either on the range. Some range balls were almost making it to the 17th fairway. Clubhouse and bar are a little old school but filled with a lot of nice people.

Always a good day on the golf course. Course is in good shape, a little wet on the rough areas but all in all, course is fine. Go to Glenn Dale for a round of golf. Personnel are also good people.

Very friendly staff and course was in surprisingly great shape. Fairways and greens were cut well with noticeable and difficult roughs. The greens on this course are no joke, they will be the difference in making your seemingly good round, turn bad. Had a lot of fun playing this course and will certainly be back for many more rounds in the future.

No frills golf course. Greens are above average (B-); Layout (D); Course codutions (D); Difficulty (D+); Pratice areas (D); Value (B). Compared to other "municipal" class golf courses in this price range and age, it's well above average. Definitely a bargan.

Maintained nicely, but a little pricey for me when playing on the weekend. I will give thumbs for pace of play. Marshall's will definitely make sure groups keep up and players are not always waiting at the next hole to tee off.

Went here when I was 14 they had a free youth program to teach the rules of golf. I am 40 now and this is my favorite course in the area. Sad to see it go but thanks to the many great years.

I have played many golf courses in the area and I am very very surprised that this course is not mentioned as one of the best value in the area. I recently had my brother and his friend (regular at Bethpage) play this course and they loved the layout, green conditions and speed. I highly recommend this course over any VA public courses except for Laurel Hill. The bar in the clubhouse is great and very well priced. This is great for all level of golfers, shot making and scrambling ability is imperative.
