Excellent golf course. Clever design lots of variety hole to hole. Tricky greens. Beautiful fairways ball sitting on lush grass. Penal rough though if fairway missed. 5/5 a must play venue.

Chartwell CC is a beautiful classic tree lined golf course nestled in a sprawling local community and depending on the time of year the greens can be lightening quick with some quirky breaks where local knowledge can come in handy. Short in length by today’s standards but very fair and challenging with strategically placed bunkers off the tee and undulating greens to make up for the lack of yardage on the scorecard. In my opinion, they just don't make golf courses like this anymore. Nice facilities all around including a dining/pub area, great food selection, new locker rooms and banquet/meeting rooms. Management and staff are as friendly and welcoming as they come.

A group of five of us were there on 1/28/18 for their bridal expo and the place was maintained very well. Their restrooms are also very clean. Overall, a nice venue for the wing we were in, but I cannot comment on the golf and membership aspect.

If you're looking for a course that really works your short game, look no further. From the front nine to the back nine be ready for an elegant round through a small piece of what makes up Severna park. Provided with a range with the max distance of 230yrds don't take the par 3s too lightly. Enjoy
