Hard to justify the money to play this course. Very Slow play decent field, (6/10). We did 5!hr round. Marshal explained that a 4hr45 min round was their pace. Easily a 3.5hr round at most. I guess to each their own.
Beautiful course! Staff was friendly and inviting. I will be back to play there again.
Great venue thintastic professional staff make you feel welcome and very professional in their carrying of duties.
Played here for the first time. If this was an inexpensive muni course, yeah, it would be 4 and a half stars. But it isn't. It's expensive and laid out by a hall of fame architect and it has a lot of history. The overall conditions were so so at best. Tee boxes just ok. Greens pretty bad. Weeds and crab grass throughout including in some bunkers. Some fairways burnt out. For the greens fee they charge, you'd expect much better than just so so conditions. Golf now hot deal was still a pricey $68, down from the usual $90. The club house looked very pretty and facilities very nice. Just wish the conditions were better.
$15 all day at the driving range
I come back at least 3 times a year. I feel like a king every time I go. Truly a special day and something to look forward to. Although I pay about $85 / round by purchasing their frequent player package, it's worth much more.
Pretty
Love this course. My cousin treated me with a free round I couldn't say no it is the best course I've played in the local area
Course was not in good enough condition to justify $100.00 green fee. I've played muni courses in much better shape
Nice course, great practice area and locker room. Good food in Restaurant above Pro Shop. Crab Pretzels........yummy
Outstanding course and amazingly friendly staff. Truly worth the price!!
There is a reason this track is touted as the #1 Golf Course you can play in the entire Mid-Atlantic -- that's because it is. 18 completely different, sick holes, staff makes you feel like you are playing Pine Valley, out of this world course conditions & maintenance staff, and unless you are a + handicapp -- stay off the tips here. Simply, fantastic -- and with their package thing it's only like $90/round!
The air is fresh. Here is a very quiet place.
Great course with some challenging holes.
Pro course but novis ppl can play
Burger was delicious and very reasonable. Server was fabulous
Bulle Rock Golf Club is home to one of the top-rated and finest championship golf courses in Maryland. The excellent tree-lined and open parkland layout contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play.
Great course excellent condition
Nice golf course; however, the customer service was awful. Visiting the area on vacation and came out around 4:30 for the "twilight" rate. Ranger was clearly anxious to go home and hovered around us asking how may holes we were playing and warned of "severe thunderstorms" in the area. Finished front 9 in 90 minutes and hit tee shot on 10 at 6:00. Pro raced out to us on the 10th fairway yelling that we only paid for 9 holes. Despite confirming several times that we could continue beyond 9 holes on the twilight rate, we were aggressively reprimanded for extending beyond 9 holes. Even after offering to pay again for the "9 hole" twilight rate, we were told "no, it's too late to play another 9". Obviously, the staff was more concerned with making it home for dinner than treating out of town visitors kindly. Regardless of the quality of the golf course, I would not return to "Bully" Rock.
Just plain beautiful.... Nice food out the clubhouse.
괜찮은 골프코스 입니다!
Best Public Golf Course on the East Coast!
Great golf service and food
Staff is awesome! Great service. Well maintained course...
Played here for a Golf Channel Am Tour event. The course saw 17in of rain that week but couldn't tell! Only thing was that the greens were really, really slow! Understandably so with some of the green contours but 7.5-8 and had to kill it going uphill! Really good test of golf and fair but you have to play well! I placed 3rd out of 25 in my flight and it was the first time seeing the course. Grab a beer and a crab cake sandwich from the grille, it was delicious!
Excellent greens
Great course
Great course and great staff! I'll have to come back and play when it's not raining to get the best experience.
A first-class clubhouse and beautiful course. Some of the holes have long yardage for their par.
Bueatiful
Fantastic tough golf course...
Great course nice people
After a couple of changes in ownership, Bulle Rock is still one of if not my favorite course in Maryland. The course was designed by Pete Dye. It's tough but isn't unreasonable. The LPGA hosted a major championship here for several years and had to play it at under 6500 yards apparently. The 18th hole is a brute but is a fantastic finishing hole. The new management also dropped the price in 2018 and now it's a must play. I used to try and get out here once a year but now it'll be a multiple times a year treat for me. Course conditions have been pretty much perfect every time I have played here. Only once were the greens a little slow and that was during a rough heat wave. It also hasn't been too busy. The only homes you see on the course are on the first hole which is a nice change. It is walkable which is a plus, but you will need a cart to get to the range. The range is spacious and the grass is awesome. There is a small putting green near the clubhouse. This is the one to use. The bigger one near the first tee is too flat for anything you'll see on the course. The chipping/bunker area is amazing. Tons of space to work on every shot you'll ever need. I could spend an afternoon just on that. I just can't say enough good things about this place. And I can't wait to go back.
LPGA used to play here. This is a great Pete Dye course. Super challenging and just fun to play. Practice facility is awesome.
Course was fantastic but service was absolutely wretched (except for the old guys out front) Heard several very, very racist comments coming from the check-in/pro shop staff in regards to Obama while I was waiting for my friends in the hallway right outside. Probably won't go back, maybe if friends pay?
Average sledding hills but nothing special. They don't much like bikers or sledders though. Expensive n/a beverages.
Beautiful course. Greens fees a little steep but I heard they're coming down. This was posted May 2018
Great lunch at Silks.
Great track in great condition.
I liked it. There was great variety I thought among the holes; not many reminded me of another on the property. A few were memorable (the 9th and 11th come to mind). When I was there (April) the conditioning was so-so but I believe it gets much better. They reduced the greens fee bc of this which I believe was the correct thing to do.
Played here for the first time yesterday. Experience top to bottom was first class. Staff was friendly and the track was in great shape for this time of year. The course is challenging but worth the money!
Course was a little beat up, but still a challenging manageable track
Beautiful. Nice staff too.
I work in the industry and it always cracks me up when I read about bad experiences people have when they show up to play golf after 430. This isn't a goat track desperate for the discount hackers who want to stay out till dark. At the club I work at we eliminated twilight rate and after 3pm the rate goes back up to the full amount. If you want to keep people there while your the only ones on the golf course you should at least pay for it. Most courses still offer this twilight rate though. You should at least throw the cart guy a few bucks if your gonna make him wait but I am sure that will never happen because only the cheapskates come out for those bottom of the barrel rates.
Beautiful views!
Beautiful
One of the best courses around especially now that they lowered their geens fees
Golf at it's finest, from course to the staff.
Have always enjoyed playing golf here!!! Highly recommended!!!!!
Terrible for the environment
Attended a retirement banquet here ...the food and service was OUTSTANDING!
Awesome course. Long as hell from the back tees at 7,400 but it makes for a very challenging day. Great value too.
Love the condition of course and practice facilities are awesome
Great course!
Golf course in great shape and we'll arranged even for the less gifted golfers.
Great food and scenery
Excellent track with a challenging layout
The drinks were amazing! And the food was delicious. Price was reasonable due to name and location I expected to pay a little more, so I was pleasantly surprised!
Well maintained grounds with a spirit of Excellence throughout this facility.. I can't wait See Tiger Woods for a round of golf with a few close friends the 27th..
Love the course layout. Must play once in your life.
Great course. Very hard but great.
Good food and service. The manager however seems very low class. Baseball cap? Really?
Love my experience here.
I love it
Great golf course nice grill room to eat.
Restaurant review: The food took forever to arrive and when it did it was sub-par (not good) for the price. What is the point of asking how you like the burger if you're just going to make it well-done anyway? The staff seemed a little overwhelmed and had several drink order and food errors in our party.
Two weeks ago I hosted my sister’s bridal shower at Bulle Rock. Tammy was a delight to work with, she was accommodating and friendly. The food, staff, and space were all wonderful. Additionally, the groom played golf with some of the other guys in his family during the shower and they had a wonderful time.
i visited the restaurant. great service, nice views & good food. i'm going to tell folks it is worth the visit & i personally will be back soon. thanks for a nice lunch. it was great.
Great course. Fast greens
The Silks has great food and beverages. The alcohol was relatively cheap and the view was great.
Beautifully cared for course, friendly and helpful staff.
have my daughters baby shower here. Looks great.
An uneven experience. Had to send food back because it was cold, but the chef made it right. I'd try it again.
Good course, the slow play is not great. Almost three hours to play 9 holes, yikes.
Great service
Very nice course. Upscale.
Great food, but they close early. The seafood pasta was good and the brussel sprouts we're to die for.
Bulle Rock is perhaps the best public course I've played - and I've played a good number of them. The facility, the staff, the course itself are top-notch. This course should be a must play for anyone living in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area.
Fantastic golf club!
Wonderful course in Havre De Grace. Hosted LPGA Major for several years. Can play to every level. They have 5 or 6 different sets of tees. So, even beginners can play this course. Greens are very fast, but very true. They are subtle to read, so you need to look where you are putting. Rough is punishing, but not penal. Clubhouse is really nice. Prices are very reasonable on weekdays, a little high on weekends. Great course to play. Highly recommend.
Classy golf course, ranked high and has hosted LGPA events.
Everything was
Good grassy areas
Went to wedding. Facilities and food were excellent.
Great place. Nice people and the Brunch was great.
People weren't too friendly.
Awesome place and its PUBLIC!!!
Good round of golf
Can't wait to go back. Always in great shape.
Great course
When the a/c is not working thru no fault of your guest on one of the hottest days of the year think about providing them some water
Wow. The course was amazing but what made the place exceptional was the staff. They were professional and welcoming and just made for a great day. It didn’t hurt that I fired off a 76 and pounded my two sons into the ground!!!
Man, tough course to play if you haven't been here. Wife open and long holes. Its in excellent condition and loved it.
Great course, have played here many times. Friendly staff and prices have dropped this season. Well worth the drive.
Challenging course, well maintained, beautiful clubhouse. Great views as well. 10/10 would play again.
Good food not too pricey. Great atmosphere
Because we were at Bulle Rock Golf Course with my church called The Salvation Army Doing the Most Good
Good place to golf but overpriced for the area and the type of golf course .
Best Brunch in town!!!!
A great track a must play.
Great place but food was not fresh. Found mold on bread rolls.
No buffet anymore but food was great. Different management
Awesome course, great rough, nice greens. Very well kept. Excellent and love playing here.
Always in great condition. Well worth the money
Fabulous course in perfect condition.
Well maintained. Great staff. Well stocked pro shop.
Very well maintained place.
It started off great as you drove down the hill with the Club House in view, military service flags blowing next to 18, the view, then coming through the gate to head to the bag drop. This is where my biggest complaint was. My first encounter, wish i got his name, was not pleasant. I got of the car, shared a greeting, and got a scowl look from this particular guy. He asked if I had a tee time and when I responded he threw his hands and shoulders up in disgust and was condescending. However, what really saved it was the next staff member that pulled up and greeted us "Good morning and welcome to Bulle Rock. Do you have a tee and and how can I help you today." What a difference and I will not let one person ruin anything. Now onto the course. I read an article from 17 June, Golf Week, when i entered the clubhouse I was glad to be able to associate it with something. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They had the Golf Channel on in the back ground and had great memorabilia and swag. We hopped in our carts and headed to the driving range. We really enjoyed hitting off of grass. What a relief this was and it was a nice range. Pretty easy to follow and as long as you didn't get that one guy the staff will definitely help you out. However, just follow the white dots all the way to the range. After the range my group of 8 gathered at the first tee and met the starter. Very friendly, professional, and funny. He explained the course very well with the do's and don'ts of Bulle Rock. Looking down the first fairway can be little intimidating because it looks narrow but don't sweat it. You got it and stay our of the tic forest. Known for the big cases of Lyme's Disease (he warns you at the start). The course was beautifully laid out and I really enjoyed seeing what adventure was coming around the corner. The flowers and fescue through the rolling hills, listening to the sound the ball cracking off the driver (couple cuss words later) a congrats on a great putt was due. Lot of holes being strategic was a must. I used driver on all but number 6 (3 wood). We played from the blues today. The biggest downfall were the speed of the greens. They were shaggy but to their credit we got some really good rain Thursday and Friday but no affects on the overall course. I can't wait to make it back before the rumors "For Sale" goes away.
Course was in Amazing condition. They have new lower prices for green fees. Check them out!!
The food and service were very good and the view superb.
Went to the restaurant. Food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. If you're looking for affordable high-end dinning, this is a place you should try.
Great course. Well laid out. Good test but possible to score if you can stay out of the rough. The 9th and 18th holes are especially great!
Tear down a forest for that b.s. smh
Amazing golf track!!
We loved shopping here. The accessories here not expensive at all.
One of the best locally.
Great layout, and experience. However, if you are going to pay what they ask, you should expect a full experience. The greens are fast and difficult to read, but you will lose unnecessary strokes on short putts because they have crowned holes, so the ball always rolls off. That is bush league and unacceptable. It ruined my round.
Very well watered and nice challenges on this course.
Great venue, challenging golf
Great layout.
High end golf and dinning. Very good customer service
