At present the business receives a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 131 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is really positive, and it's based on a very high number of reviews, so we can think that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Insanely busy when we went. Over 4 hrs. just to play 13 holes. We finally gave up. Standing around waiting 10 or more minutes between every single shot sucked. No ranger to move all the slower players along. I'll stick with other courses.
Played on our way thru Maine. Not far off I95. Very friendly staff. Priced right. Surprisingly well maintained for a municipal golf course. Actually, one 18 hole course, one 9 hole course, and a practice facility. Tee boxes very good, fairways good. Greens slow, but they keep it in this condition I'm sure due to the amount of play. Bunkers need sand. Overall, we were very pleased and played in under 4 hours on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Would recommend. Nice restaurant/bar/outdoor deck too.
Friendly staff. Greens in great shape
Nice balls lol
Always in great condition, greens are fast and pristine, fairways are in great shape, course remains challenging and fun to play.
A fine course. A place my brother loved to play the game. Dick Brown played here for about 28 yrs. Thanks to his fellow player's for a life of rounds. His brother Luke
Great place for skiing after work. Pretty about 5k Groomed trails
Nice open layout, but still presents some challenges. Got a great deal for 18 holes with a cart through Golf Now.
Food was ok, extremely small and not many options
Good challenging course
Nice golf course. Well maintained. Good place to sled in the winter months with the kids.
Great course and fabulous greens, no wait time, overall a good experience playing here. Restaurant has very good food and service.
If you want strong drinks..this is a place to go..food is good but pricey and not meant for big appetites. Wait staff are ok, asked for bacardi and OJ, recieved well run and OJ, so theres that..if you want to socialize and eat...ear first then show up to riverside.
Except for getting the wrong dressing, the Cobb salad is amazing! Server was super sweet, cook, not so much.
The order was not quite right
Greens are absolutely gorgeous! The maintenance crew does a great job keeping the course in top notch shape. Fun track.
This place is a great place to visit in the winter time they are bar and restaurant has many selections of drinks and food and appetizers
Not too busy, usually get a quick 9 in, decent course especially for the money
Beautiful day middle of October course was great greens were fast wonderful not very busy great day
I just helped with a wedding there and they were a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! So very accommodating and gracious and always with sincere smiles and attitudes. We ran out of napkins, cups...even plates and they quickly got us more to use. I felt like they should be disgruntled with us, (especially when we asked for some forks too) but they seemed to sincerely care about our wedding and guests and wanted us to be happy. I would normally want to single individuals out, but every single person working was above and beyond! I recommend this as a wedding venue or other social event place. It is beautifully landscaped as well, and very clean!
Employees very friendly Golf Course excellent love the green
Decent municipal course. Very walkable. Great value, check out Golfnow.
Great service, delicious food, beautiful atmosphere. Seems like a hidden gem in this small town.
Nice views
Good price to quality ratio
Service slow, food average.
Atmosphere good! Service great.! Prime rib sandwich alright.
Green fees are up quite a bit from history $39 with cart. I have always liked the course Tough to find balls in the leaves. Only 2 courses in the county This is the preferred one.
Good time
Great place for lunch!!!!
The BlackBerry Mojitos are fantastic!
Gorgeous greens!
I booked a tee time for 8:15 AM on July 28th. After driving for 45 min to the course I was informed that an all-day tournament was on tap. My tee time was not honored even though my reservation had been received. Riverside did not inform me prior to the 28th to let me know about their tournament. I was able to play at another course that day, so it wasn't a wasted trip. Very disappointed with Riverside.
Beautiful Course, best in area and nice restaurant!
Nice and challenging course!
Not very welcoming at all. Didn't even know how to make a sex on the beach.
Really enjoyed the course, and price!
Well manicured today
All services were AONE plus.
Food here is actually really good. I would suggest the pork belly BLT.
Next to the airport, so fly there you sissy!
Three stars only because of the shape it's in right now. Stay in the fairway proper and you'll be ok. Miss it by a yard or so on either side and way more than likely you'll say goodbye to the ball you are playing. The greens are in fantastic shape though. Come play when they can mow the rough like it should be and this is an easy 4 star course. The club house grub is always very good.
The course was in great shape! We all enjoyed the golfing experience today.
Food was delicious. Service at bar was a little below par.
Great course and fast greens. I loved it.
Good for winter or summer.
It is really awesome that this place is available for skate and classic cross-country skiing, sledding and ice skating and it is really well maintained, especially since you don't have to buy a $15-20 pass to go. Really glad we have it in Portland!
Had a great experience here. Enjoyed the golf, driving range, food and drinks.
Since I moved to Florida I always think of Riverside as my own private club. Played in a few tournaments enjoyed every time I played good round or bad friendly group of guys remember I think either getting early to get the time for Sunday .maybe in the future I'll come to enjoy the course all over again. Fairways and greens my best to all
Superb Installations With Congenial assistants
I fly in across the street and have lunch. Worth it
Great place to great place to visit on the weekends
Flat, challenging and beautiful
Nice course, driving range under cover, nice practice green too. RV parking available in front.
Had a nice lunch with great friends. Beautiful sunny day, ate outside. Beautiful surroundings, gr eat food and service Love this plsce, especially on a neautiful day
Too much mosquito
Played this course ad a kid came to visit and wasnt ket down. Course in great condition
Nice course , very good shape , rough is a little long , but greens are awesome
Beautiful course in a mostly quiet area. Staff was nice.
Cold.
Such good food and the servers do a good job! I don’t think the owners realize what they have here. It’s a great spot for Lewis County but they’re constantly understaffed. Which as a result provides a below average experience. If they focused more on operations I think the outcome would be beneficial for their customers and their business.
Long drive mediocre golf course!
Beautiful little course! Cute club house friendly staff.
Nice challenging layout. Greens always in great shape. Nice for walking. RV pads with hookups to!
Riverside grill at the golf course has a great menu and full bar.
Went to the restaurant was satisfied
Great for snowshoeing in winter on the trail!
Very well maintained course. Very challenging as well. The bar and grille is awesome. Steaks are some of the best you'll have and A+ service. Stewart was great and was on point.
This is a beautiful golf course! Rolling greens that are kept in top condition!
Fastest greens I have ever played
Great course greens were so fast . Thank you visiting nurses foundation for all you do .
Great course. Happy employees
Friendly Pleasant very good food
Solid municipal course. The restaurant food is above average.
Great comedy show!
Had a blast sledding
Worst experience ever. The "Ranger" who was driving around the course on Saturday July 29th between the hours of 1-4 was a complete A-hole. My husband and I are not pro golf players but decided to play 9 holes located down the street from the main building. He drove up to us and basically told us we suck and we need to speed up our game. Really? Because golf should totally be a rushed game. We paid $55. He ragged on the areas where we drove the cart which we weren't breaking any rules, treated us like we were some punk kids. So as he drove off I said your pretty rude, I paid to play and I'll never return. He stopped and threw his hands up like oh well I don't care. (Im sure all the yuppies pay to keep that place running anyway) So then he drives over to a yuppie couple who were walking the course and voices travel and I hear him tell the couple I just told them to hurry up. So I took it upon myself to confront the couple and ask if I was "holding up there game" well didn't they back peddle once confronted. I made it known to them that I heard their complaints but clearly they didn't want to stand up for themselves. Instead the yuppie guy put his tail between his legs and hung his head low because he can't face his own battles. Weak people. I definitely don't this place if your looking to enjoy a game of golf. I did however shot a lot better after I was pissed off!
I had a fun time, not so much my score.
Great food, Trivia Night, beer selection
I really enjoyed this place, appetizers were great, maybe a little small on portion size but very tasty, service was good and the sun shinong on the upper deck completed the order. Looked down below and saw my boys golfing, looking good and feeling great.
The course is in great condition and the greens were awesome (and fast).
Fun fun!
Beautiful course
Fun trivia night with friends. Great staff and good food.
Place is in great shape. Lady in clubhouse is a switch
My Jam on sundays. Love this place good cooks great bartenders. Owners are roaming around having a good time with customers and employees. Great environment ands atmosphere to relax put back some scotch on the rooftop overlooking the golf course. Oh yeah. Unlimited mimosas 10$10-4
Course in great shape good prices
Booked through their website for a special for 18, went to play and their site switched it for their par 3 course. Showed proof and staff refused to help.
Super and love south course. Little busy but north course had tournament
Since I sent an email, to the Contact us link and never heard back, I figured I'd post this here for everyone to see.... keep in mind, I wasnt gonna... but since they couldn't be bothered to email me back... Here ya go... On Sunday, my dad and I had a tee time at your course. I was excited to bring him there as neither of us had been. The treatment from the moment we got there was the worst I had EVER received at any golf club anywhere. The gentlemen behind the counter were extremely rude and bothered that I asked to know how much the cleveland putter was. The sign said 99.00 for wedges. The guy says rudely, they're 99 bucks like the sign says. I said, oh, that looked like it only said wedges. They're 99 bucks he repeated flatly. There was no way I was going to get it after that. THEN, we went out to the starter.... worst treatment I've ever had. My dad and I warmed up on the practice green. When it was our time we headed to the box. The starter said, dont get on the box yet, I'm putting another twosome with you. I said where are they. He said they'll be coming. I said ok. After 5 minutes I said can we just go? He said no, I told you, you are being paired up. I said well if I wanted a foursome, I would have played a foursome. He literally says to me. "You have NO CHOICE" And if you dont like it too bad, this is a public course and I can make you play a foursome. I almost lost my mind... I wanted to leave so bad, and I could see my poor dad, just standing there sad.... so I sucked it up and played. We had driven an hour and a half to get there. The sad part is, the course was fun and enjoyable. I had never been treated so bad. And I'm sure you got another email just like this from the two guys they put with us, cuz they were just as frustrated as we were. Anyway, just thought you may like to know what happens at your course on a sunday afternoon. Jeremy Collman
Great course! Clean friendly facilities!
Never disappointed, always well gromed and greens are the best.
Good place to golf
Loved playing here, challenging but not annoying where you lose balls all the time like some other courses in area
Never golfed here, but it is free to xc ski in the winter. They groom the trails and everything. Can't really ask for more.
Great condition very nice people
Don't go Thursday morning. Women's league. Play is slow. Ranger just drives around.
Both courses are great to play.
Best course in SW Wa.
Very friendly and helpful staff! I just went to hit a bucket of balls but love the course !!!
Great food. Loved the mac n cheese.
It was very nice, a great place for sledding, ice skating,it was clean and well maintained
Friendly staff. Totally HOT server downstairs! Very friendly as well. Best course in the area. Highly recommended! Weekday twilight for $30, very reasonable for the course!
Played here this past Saturday, we drive up from Kalama a few times a year. Wish it was a bit closer, but it's worth the drive. Nice course, beautiful morning, had an excellent time. The staff was wonderful. Prices are reasonable to comparable courses in our area. Sat on the upstairs deck afterward and enjoyed the view while having a beer and awesome lunch. Can't wait to come back again soon.
This is a great course for the money. They do a good job at maintaining the course. My only complaint is that most of the staff seems unnecessarily angry all the time. Walked in to the pro shop to ask if they had any tee times and the guy yelled at me to go ask the starter as he had no idea. The guy with the computer in front of him that listed all tee times made me go ask the guy with a clipboard and paper who hoped he had the oat up to date information from the pro shop. The starter was pleasant though and he was happy to get me on the course. Other times I've been there and they've had a ranger come out and tell us to pick up the pace of play, while the group in front of us (we were waiting on the tee box) were within 100 yards of us on a par 5. He didn't go talk to them at all. I bear with the grumpy old men staffing the course due to the cost and conditions, but trust me, I search other courses first and see if they have openings well before coming to Riverside.
Great Place
Rooftop lunch is great
Very Good facility for our kids Nordic Ski Team to practice at all winter. Better grooming this year. Excellent storage for skis. Great waxing area.
Course is in pretty bad shape but layout is pretty fun
Ate here on a sunny day and the patio was lovely. Food was decent but the service was really slow. Staff was very friendly so that made up for it (a little).
Nice course.
South course, great place for a walk
Nice place
Amazing food & service!! Beautiful view of the golf course while you eat!!
Great place
I love this golf course best one around Lewis county in my opinion.
Great course
The best clam chowder I have ever had! Very nice establishment with polite staff.
Always golf here. Great place.
Great place for drinks n munchies ....golf is laid back and worth the money.
Great place for sledding in the winter!
Great food and good mai tai
Great pro shop service. Green are in descent shape, fairways are WET!!! Keep your drives low!!!!
Fun course
Never had a chance to play. I was working on the road next it for 2 months. Looks like a challenging course.
Wide open fairways, greens in good shape - this is a fun course! Long walk if you decide to skip the cart ...
Love seeing thriving public courses! Walked into the shop around 3:30pm on a Wednesday and it was packed! They still got us out with another 2some relatively quickly to play the back 9. Nice laid back atmosphere. Only issue seemed to be a lack of communication between the pro shop and the poor starter whose job it was to get us out between groups making the turn. Even still the pace of play was fine. Great spot for the average duffer to get their golf fix.
Great greens and fun course! Restaurant and lounge has wonderful employees and terrific food & drink!
Nice golf course. Decent prices
The course is worth 41/2 stars but they don't put water out and it was 90 degrees! No beverage carts either.
I called 2 weeks ago to make sure that there were no tournaments today Sept 23. Drove up from Vancouver only to find you were closed due to exactly that, a tournament!
Great little golf course whether it's a destination or if you stop by while passing through. Good food and nice rooftop deck for an after round drink.
I had the cream brioche and it was bomb diggity. I had trouble chewing the tendons but they were small enough to swallow so it was all good. I was gonna give it 4 starts but the bartender is a friend and was giving me money out of the till so I was really happy with my experience!
Upon arrival to Riverside on Sunday morning, my boyfriend and I were not impressed. We were on vacation, had a 10:45 tee time, and unfortunately, due to traffic, were 4 minutes late to the tee box. The older gentleman inside the pro shop didn’t think this was a big deal at all. However, the starter who I believe was called “Chappy” had an absolute conniption fit and told us 5 times or more to not be late for our tee time. Not to mention they paired us up with another couple without our consent. I’ve never heard of this as a rule before with golf! The starter pushed us in and created an unsafe situation by attempting to force my boyfriend to drive early. If he would have gone when told, he could have hit one of the other golfers already on the fairway. My boyfriend didn’t go when told and waited for a safe time to start. After driving, he was walking back to our cart and Chappy approached to remind us AGAIN that we can’t be late for our tee time. We told him again it was due to traffic he said, “I don’t want to hear it.” After the first hole we realized how tight he packed everyone in due to waiting at every hole either at the tee box or for the greens to clear. We also noticed how poorly kept the fairways and greens were (dead/dying grass and bald spots). Chappy, the angry old man, treated this golf course like it was a PGA Championship. We golf regularly on much nicer courses than this one and have been to Saratoga National Golf Course which is a PGA course. We have NEVER been treated so poorly in all of our years of golfing and the next time we are in Portland we surely will not be returning to Riverside. On a positive note, the sole shining star of this establishment is Rene, the beverage lady! She was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and polite! You need to hire more people like Rene if you want to stay in business!
Service was slow. Nice to hang out on deck, only positive note, food overall ok, waited for the cow to be killed for the burger and steak and salad. No plates provided with appetizer, spinach dip for 3 people No salt/pepper on table No ground pepper offered for ceasar salad Extra ceaser dressing requested when salad served, arrived after salad was eaten Everything needs work
Service was wonderful and the calamari was excellent.
Nice layout. Course was in good shape.
Great place to spend an afternoom with thr family or friends. Nice staff great food and drinks
Awesome food! Great atmosphere, wonderful servers!!
I love this course but am very disappointed at the rates. They have gone up so much I won't golf here much at all anymore, because I can find much better rates on equal quality public courses in the area.
The golf course is well maintained, restaurant has good food, menu is somewhat limited. The RV park is nothing fancy but you do get full hookups. There is a stay and play package.
This review is on the Riverview RV park owned by the golf course. The RV park is clean and has no wifi services as of yet. There is no cable either. No showers available or laundry facilities. The food is great at the club house. They allow 2 dogs and quiet time is at 11:00pm. There is a great walking trail right across the street. The Golf Course looks fantastic although I don't golf. The airport is across the street and it is not noisy due to the dike isolating the noise level. Stores are just a mile or so away. There is no access to the river from the RV park. The RV park could be improved by simply adding more trash cans or at least dumping them once per day and adding decent wifi service.
Really nice and reasonably challenging municipal courses (18 and 9 holes) meander through woods and fields along the Presumpscot River. Great place for sledding, XC skiing and dog walking in winter.
Have not had the chance to golf here yet, but the clubhouse and food were great.
Its a decent course. The greens are what make this course playable for me. Super smooth and fast greens. The layout is just okay. Nothing to exciting. The price for 18 is what kills this place for me. They charge a premium green fee for a mediocre course. Much nicer courses for less money up north. I think thats the problem. This is the only decent course in lewis county and they make you pay for it. On the good side...the rooftop bar and grill is good and the staff are very friendly.
Great little Golf Course the greens are the fastest in the northwest. Excellence bar overlooking the course for after you're done visit here as often as we can . Prices are reasonable and staff is always Pleasant
Nice place for lunch, the Pork Belly BLT was tasty and a very large portion.
Great venue overlooking the beautiful Riverside Golf Course. Cozy and comfy with great food and beverages!!! Nice deck for gathering in warmer conditions too!
45 min for food
Riverside hosted my employer's annual golf tournament, and I loved my time there. It was my first ever 18 holes of golf. I hope we go here again next year!
Good course, a mix of long and planned driving. The course is mostly in good shape but there are some dead spots on the travel ways. This is a good course for the less experienced.
The older guy that runs the South course is one of the rudest people,he should not be there,He ruined my Mothers Day,he was so rude to my son and daughter in law they left, the golf course was not busy at all,My 3 sons myself and my boyfriend will never come back.I have never been treated so badly
Good feilds
Good local coarse. Play 18 then have dinner and Cocktails on site. Locally owned and customers are treated well. Friendly staff and nice setting.
Riverside is a hackers delight. Large fairways and mostly flat greens. It's easy to walk and offers cart friendly options. The downside is its usually busy. The best time to play is super early, or mid-afternoon. Greens fees are average. Portland residents save by becoming members. I believe they have money games, but that was back in the 90's.
Good place to stay in a pinch.
Great place to play around with your friend or even by your self
Riverside is awesome!! Working with Austin was a wonderful experience for our tournament!
Used to be a good fly in for lunch spot. Food is just ok but the service is terrible. Hard to justify the fuel to get there.
