Fairways and greens are in great condition, fun round trip shuttle ride to Mount Kineo from Rockwood. Photographers paradise around the entire course. Definately a must do if you're in God's Country!

Have been going for the past 20 years and my family probably longer. We've spent hundreds perhaps thousands in the golf shop on food and items over the years. Today had the rudest interaction with one of staff. Same guy that operates the shuttle. If you go, apparently you can no longer use the trash cans. He fished our trash out, chased us down and handed it back us saying "it will stink up my garage". He proceeded to give us a long lecture on where we could and could not walk (note: absolutely no signage and there has not been any for the past 20 years). Also told us the docks we were using are "private" and that he (like he owns the place) let's the public use them. This is not new behavior for him, he has always been abrasive but to treat anyone (especially a local and long term customer) this way was just low key. While I will continue to hike the area with my family we will no longer patronize the golf shop. I hope the management realizes how rude this staff member is. Also, I'd recommend they post signage as to the legal and preferred areas to walk as well as what constitutes a trash can. Hard to operate a business, sell goods that generate trash and then not let people throw the trash away.

I vacation at moosehead lake every Memorial Day weekend. I always make sure to play a round of golf here. Great little course.

Course has come a long way in the past couple of years, and I usually play it a couple of times a year. Used to be able to walk around the course without playing no problem, last time some lady chased me down and chewed me out for not walking on the cart path. Meanwhile no one was on the hole or really even playing golf. My advise if you're an out of stater, don't buy a summer home on a golf course next to a state park if you can't handle people walking around from time to time.

I played at Kineo this week and the course was in great shape. I enjoyed the small greens. The whole experience was great. It is a special place and great memories for me. GHS, class of 1969

Used to go there often, however the grounds keeper and shuttle driver is rude. Will not be spending my money here anymore. Will come to hike the state park but not go to the golf course.

The course has never looked better and the view is the same (awesome)..... The faraways are a little dry but it add to the drive.

Nice scenery. Don't expect to be able to rent a golf cart if you aren't playing golf. They could at least have a few wheelchairs or scooters for people with mobility issues who want to see the island.

2nd oldest golf course in America. It's cool playing on such a beautiful and historic course. There usually isn't a wait on the tee off. The whole experience is really fun. You have to take a boat to even get there
