For so early in the season the course was very dry. Proshop is very well stocked for all your needs.

I've been playing golf for 47 years and this is my favorite course on the planet. Although best experienced during the St. John Valley Open (amateur) tournament over Labor Day weekend--when it is guaranteed to be in spectacular shape--this course is a can't miss experience any time during the golf season. In addition to the most interesting and challenging greens I've played (and always in immaculate condition for the tournament) the course offers terrific scenery, will challenge every club in your bag, and boasts the friendliest, most professional, and hardest working staff you'll find anywhere, led by CPGA Professional and General Manager Steve Leitch. And...no...I am not in any way affiliated with the course, not even a member as I don't live in the area. Just another obsessed golfer packing a 14 who prays that when he dies the almighty sends him to Aroostook Valley Country Club.
