I've played this course more than 200 times, and I love it each time. Depending on the time of day/year can be busier than others, but enough course for anyone. Staff are great too! I don't live in Louisville anymore, but play at least once every time I visit

Matthew Newton

Good public golf course

Very slow rate of play. 3-4 hours for 9 holes.

This is nicest municipal course in Louisville. A very oro youth golf atmosphere. Small planes taking off and landing at Bowman Field fly over the fairways. they have a nice driving range, chipping range, and huge practice putting green, and even a challenging 9 hole par 3 course that is walk only to sharpen short iron and wedge skills. the course itself is in great shape, has hills and trees yet plenty of opportunities to hit Driver if you can hit it straight. Does get quite busy on warm weekends.

I'm now 83 and can still play there. The greens were in good shape. The grass was a tad high so was a little difficult to find balls off the fairway as I usually am! The hills and dales are such that we could take our carts about anywhere. I do not advise oldies attempting to walk this course. Challenging yet fun.

Hole #1 is one of the worst golf holes on the planet. It was designed by someome who had no business even trying to design a golf hole. #10 green is on the goofy side and was designed by the same person. assistant pro's and most of the staff are very friendly. Very affordable.

Absolutely I consider this park the best in Louisville, many areas to play soccer, tennis, running

Though Seneca is constantly busy, it is an affordable, wonderfully maintained, and challenging golf course. If you prefer to walk, please note that this course feels longer than it is and has some hilly holes. Most of the fairways are narrow, with about 30-40% doglegs. The golf pro, Kevin, is approachable and has an efficient staff. I would recommend him if you need a lesson, whether as a beginner, or even a 2 handicap working on to fine tune your swing. Oh, and the beer and snack prices are very reasonable!

I played the course for the second time over the 2014 Father’s Day weekend. Over all, the course was in fair condition. Tee boxes were suffering from some sort of disease that caused 90% of them to burn out. The fairways fared better, but still showed signs of burnout in some places. The greens however were in great shape and could be very challenging (3 putted two of them). They rolled fast and true, and had little to no erosion on all 18 greens. The course layout is more long than challenging. There are a few exciting holes, but nothing that would wow you. The facility is very nice for a public course. Two nice practice greens and a newly renovated driving rang. Being from St. Louis, I found the locals very friendly.

Paul Wheatley

Nice golf course. Well maintained

Seneca is OK, the rating is very misleading as it's a significant step down from Quail Chase yet it is ranked 3 points higher. It's what you'd expect from a run of the mill public course. The actual course is slightly above average when it's in good shape. The biggest problem with Seneca is that it's ALWAYS crowded, if you keep pace you will be waiting.

Mark J.

Pretty decent and open 18 hole course. Always grab a hotdog from the club house before you make the turn to the back 9.

I have been playing golf for over 10 years now and have never had a worse experience than at Seneca golf course. We have now played golf here twice, and both times we were rudely treated. This course is overpriced and not worth the harassment we have experienced. Sadly, this place only feeds the stereotype that golf is for stuffy jerks and not for anyone to pick up and enjoy. Truly a miserable experience.

T Keeling

for January not bad , wet

Mike Spurlock

Great staff and one of the better public courses in Metro Louisville.

Collin English

Professional staff, a great metro course and awesome practice facilities. Highly recommended!

It was absolutely a blast. Some staff could use a little support traing

Fun course, but you're going to have slow pace of play. Try going in the late evening to get a full round in without waiting on two groups in front of you.

I'm not a golfer but if there is snow on the ground this is a great place to go sledding! Right next to the parking lot there is a very wide hill which is tall but not too steep (family friendly for all ages). Across the street is a hill which is tall, steep and fast if you'd rather.

Caleb Cissell

Really good course. The employees are kind and helpful and the course us magnificent

Chris S

Can get crowded so make sure to reserve a tee time.

Lisa Johns

Lee McWhorter

Nice course to play, also great ball washer at the course!

I love this course but I gave 3 stars because they stack it up so deep. Tee times are just to close together.

Reasonable price, nice grass practice range. The course layout is pretty fun but the greens and tee boxes need a little work.

Richard Barbo

Jeremy Titzer

Tony Short

Slow rounds but good course

Brent Deschler

Fairways are immaculate due to all the rain we've had, they will compare to any private course well. Tee boxes are not great but don't impact play really. Greens have been a little shaggy, but this course gets a lot of play so it probably protects them. Great practice green and chipping area. The range is ok, but it's hilly and hard to judge diatances, or even where your ball really lands. Staff in clubhouse is nice, and prices are reasonable.

John Murphy

jessica farquhar

Great sledding!

Todd Epley

Great municipal course and in great shape for the price. It tends to be a bit crowded on weekends but you just have to expect that. The course is laid out in a challenging yet not unpleasant way which makes for an entertaining and rewarding round.

Very nice good greens and fun time

A guy drove up to my cart and started to go through my belongings in my cart searching for a cooler while I was hitting a golf shot without warning or permission. If you don't mind that then it's a decent public course.

Richard Miller

I have not played Seneca in a long time. The course is in good shape and the prices is very reasonable.

Kyle Wolz

Great and challenging course. For the amount of rounds played on the course, always in great shape! With that being said, you better get out there early, if you want to play at a decent pace. Crowded weekends, but then again what course isn't on a great weekend!

Teri Schaapveld-Perry

Kevin, very nice, great at being club pro

Very nice and well maintained course. But if you get rained out or get stuck behind a slow group and can’t finish, you WILL NOT get a rain check or any refund back. Just $8 when you pay almost $30 to play.

Gil Schrage

Great public course. Good facilities, nice grounds, very friendly people.

Sam Varju

Beautiful course....can get a bet crowded. Tee times are pretty close together so if you are expecting to take your time a bit you may end up with someone right on your backside...but easily one of the nicest public courses in Louisville

duane stewart

Great place, great people! Course is good, some difficulty on a few holes. Played the Universal Woods/Steven Hanover Charity Golf Classic. Finished 1st last year, 2nd this year. Thank you Seneca Golf Course and Universal Woods!

Anita Gallardo

Good course with some characters.

Bill Jordan

Excellent layout, extremely well maintained, workers are all knowledgeable and courteous, pro is a swing guru with noticeable teaching skills..only drawback is the never-ending crowds. Always crowded but worth the wait...
