Fun golf course with poor customer service. We played the twilight round and was able to get in 17 holes before being interrupted by the cart staff. They told us the course was closing and we had to come in because of dark. We tried to keep playing and finish he last hole, so they began blowing air horns, convienitey timed in our backswings. If I can still see my golf ball, I should be allowed to finish my round, right? That being said the greens were in great shape for this time of year and the course was fun. Disappointed we couldn't finish our last hole...

Solid little course for a city track.... Like most courses keep it in the fairway and it'll play pretty easy, but get it off line and especially in the wrong places and pitching out and making big numbers can be around the corner, played it last in late July and the greens we're absolutely awesome!!! Very surprised to see how well they rolled plus they were pretty quick, fairways a little rough and the rough was think and very tough!! Great time to play this course, strongly recommend playing, enjoy

Greens are the best part of the course, but they are pretty beat up. Pace of play can be slow. In the afternoons/evenings there are a lot of "learners" on the course. You can't walk or you get stuck behind them as they card 15+ on every hole. With a cart, you can just drive past them. They don't understand that they should let you play through. I try playing there every year and remember why I don't.

Public course, typically in good condition for a public course, has the longest Par 5 in the the state. It is a fun course not to hard but can still be challenging. The rate are great. The sell beer and drinks and food

In general, I think Lakeside is an under rated course. It's a public course that could use some work here and there, but for the money, it's truly hard to beat. It does have the longest par 5.. I believe in the state.. and I hate that hole, lol. Staff is nice and location is great for east side of Lexington folks.

Love this place it was a second home to me for years my dad was the superintendent of the course for the last 20+ years until he retired a few years ago it was my for real job for the city its a lovely course with the longest par 5 in the state and it has beautiful views and a lot of wild life its just a great place over all I would recommend it to anyone who likes to play golf and is looking for a challenging yet fun place to play

One of my favorite places. I don't play golf, but the parking lot is the perfect place to enjoy nature whether it be a sunrise, watching blue herons and eagles and other birds or watching butterflies. My second home practically. And Lexington Parks does an amazing job of keeping the area nice. You don't have to play golf to enjoy this 5 star Lexington location.
