Very enjoyable course to play. Of the over 25 courses I have played this year, this course had the best tees and greens. The greens were firm and fast and putted true. Local knowledge is helpful on several holes so I will have to play here again. The GPS system was a bonus. Maybe my eagle on the first hole contributed to my positive impression of this course.

Always a great experience playing Houston Oaks but at almost 50.00 a round, it should be a given that refreshments be made available on the course on Sunday. The course was in great shape and the staff was nice and even provided free range balls to our group that traveled from Cincy to play the course. We've never had complaint one on this course in past years. We are very satisfied overall but on hot days, refreshments should be available on the course and too be told that it's "not worth it" is concerning. We'll give it another shot and hope for different results.

Enjoy playing here. Some neat holes that can test you. My one suggestion for the staff is to bring in sand and improve bunker maintenance. I know it's expensive for Midwest courses, but this is the only item the course is lacking. Will always play here regardless as the price is very fair.

Very nice course with very poor customer service. Went to play today and weather forced us off the course after two holes. When we went in for rain checks, those that paid for the round got a 16 hole credit and the three who used the Man of War Golf card were given no rain check. Any other course i have played, would have given an 18 hole raun check for all. There are just too many good courses in the lexington kentucky area with better customer service. Will not return. *** update. The general manager had reached out to my friends and I to rectify the experience. I commend the management team for righting this wrong and will return this summer to give a good course another chance at customer service because of the general manager.

The course is beautiful! Their carts have GPS which shows distance from the pin, distance to the front/middle/back of the green as well as where other cars are on the green in case of blind tee's where you can't see around a dog leg.
