Years ago it was a great golf course then it slowly went down hill for years. Now it is improving back to a great course again. Still need some more path repairs and a few other small things. It will be a five star in no time if they keep it up. Now it's a new year and I can't remember when it ever looked this good at the start of the year. Even areas that haven't been cleaned up before are looking real nice. I've played some real nice courses in the Lexington area lately and Hickory looks better. Especially the greens. No bare spots and the ball is rolling smooth.

Built in the hills of northern Kentucky this course was we'll maintained, priced Right and enjoyable to play. Probably not a course if you have difficulty going up and down hillsides, but definitely a good course.

Our group showed up early for back to back tee times. Paid our $50 green fee and were ready to go but we were told we had to wait for a twosome that was running late which turned out to be a foursome. We asked if we could go off the back and were told we could not, but literally the next 5 groups after us were sent to start on #10. The group in front of us hit two balls each off the box on #1 while we watched 45 minutes past our scheduled time while the "starter/ranger" earned his keep by telling us "well you can't make everyone happy". Do yourself a favor and skip this one, go play Boone Links, better service, better course.

Played Hickory Sticks with a group of 16 on Oct 31, 2017. We had an hour frost delay and it was less than 40 degrees and windy. The course layout has many interesting and challenging holes. The course was in very good condition for this time of year. The greens were undulating and very fast. Don't be above the hole. The course staff was very friendly.

Very secluded. Peaceful. Well maintained with average prices. Lots of hills and a good amount of water hazards. The drive to this course is a lot of country roads so smaller vehicles might be a wise choice over a large SUV

Played in a golf outing at this location had a great time greens and Fairways were in good shape. Beautiful coarse and the people running it were very friendly and helpful. Definitely need a cart.

Course is in good shape ,they did just aerate fairways and greens thou. No water on the course 83 degrees today. Oh well I guess thats why they make Miller Lite.

Played this past Sunday had a lot of rain the past few days so grass was a little long but understandable course itself is very nice but I did however encounter a big disappointment when they told me I had to pay a second cart fee just for my girlfriend to ride along with me. $10 for a guest for you to enjoy your time if you want a family friendly place to have fun and just get out this is not a place for you.

I've been playing this course for many years, hosting a couple outings here, and this year is the best I've ever seen it. Just a couple years ago it was in pretty rough shape. In fact, I'd stopped going because of it. But I heard it had improved and I heard right. There are some spots around the course that still need a little polishing, but overall they've done a nice job of fixing the conditions. The greens are especially nice now, rolling smoothly and quickly. Kudos to the staff and management/ownership for improving this track.

Course was in great shape on the holiday. Staff was friendly and courteous and was great with my 8 year old son. Course was crowded but play kept moving with very little waiting. Overall was a great day. My son also loved Churchhill greeting everyone on the putting green.

Definitely my favorite course in Northern Kentucky hands down. The grounds are kept so nice and the course plays with challenging hills and flowing greens. I play at least once every 2 weeks.
