The Pete Dye Course at French Lick: Two iconic hotels and four golf courses (including the revered Pete Dye and Donald Ross courses) all contribute to the fabled French Lick Resort. Two miles from the centre and sitting atop the second highest point in Indiana is the Pete Dye course. Occupying a former horse farm, this is one of Indiana's top-rated and finest championship layouts, which certainly gives you an "on top of the world" feeling.

Much smaller than I expected. Food was pretty good, but I've had better food for less at my local town. However you can't beat the views anywhere in Indiana! I highly recommend visiting just to check out the views. The sunset dinner was a nice experience but probably would not do it again. Highest point in Indiana deserves a trip though!

Wow what an amazing venue. Excellent food and drink. It's the perfect place to hold an event. I found the wait staff to be knowledgeable and professional. There are also many historians around the property telling the story about the mansion and the land. Make sure you check out the hidden staircases and other very cool features that this house has to offer.

By far one of the nicest golf courses you can ever play. On par with top courses I've played such as Whistling Straights (length wise, and how they manicure the course), Bay Harbor in Northern Michigan and Torey Pines. Keep in mind that this is in Central Indiana verses California or on Lake Michigan, however it is long, beautiful and maintained to expectations. Four caddies are required for a $30 fee plus tips. You must stay at West Baden Hotel or French Lick Resort to play this course.

Awe-inspiring is the best word to describe this Pete Dye course. The lay out is challenging but fair. You get rewarded for a good shot and typically not punished too badly for a poor shot. The amenities are also outstanding. Having a fore caddy keeps the pace of play going and helps with some of the blind shots. Loved every minute of playing this course and would do it again in a heart beat.

This course is amazing. The club house sits on the second highest peak in Indiana and do you pay for that on the course. We had a perfect day to play, about 75 degrees. However, due to the altitude, we had about 30-40 MPH winds the entire round which made it so much more interesting. At one point, one guys ball was blown completely off the green. We decided to walk and the caddies were great! They were all friend, knowledgable and let us do our thing. I have played many PGA courses in my day and this is by far the best hospitality I have received from any of them. The gift bags and memorabilia were great! Honestly, there isn't enough good things I can say about this course and staff!
