This golf course is worth the drive for those appreciative of a traditional course. Played late October and the traps were groomed and sand from edge to edge. Golf carts have all the bells and whistles, Scoreboard, GPS and order lunch from the tee box. Best keep secret in NWI Indiana.

Great public course with a wonderful staff. Brad The pro is always friendly and helpful with a smile on his face. SP 19 restaurant has some tasty food but my favorite is the breakfast. Try the nachos if you have an afternoon tee time. Its a must play!

Course was fantastic!! The personnel were absolutely terrible. We had a 7:20 tee time, and we got passed by 10 groups. We were treated like trash. The starter tried to get us on the back 9, but had to hold off because the owner was making the turn. We waited for that, then got behind another group, which was fine( they had another group playing with which we let play through). The “golf pro” decided to come down to make that arrangement, which we already did for him. As we were telling him we had allowed the other group through; he had an attitude and turned around in his golf cart. As he turned around, he wanted to mouth off about us like we couldn’t hear him. He proceeded to talk about us and watched us with his hands on his hip. What a piece. The foursome I’ve played with today have been all over the country and played at some 5 star courses who appreciate our business. I’ve never been treated so bad at any establishment. What a shame for such a nice course!

Greens were not evenly cut, had myriads of ball marks. No one made over a six footer. Some bunkers were in ill repair. The gps screen was constantly filled with either outside ads or info about the clubhouse. It looks like they spent tons of money making the periphery flowery and pretty, instead of focusing on golf. Clubhouse food expensive but quality, not up to $

First class operation. Beautiful course that is excellently maintained. Well stocked pro shop with very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and professional. Restaurant on the premises that serves very good food at reasonable prices. Although a little out of the way, well worth the drive.

5 stars for the course layout and cleanliness of the grounds and clubhouse...1 star for the guy the answers the phone in the clubhouse! 7/28 we had a tee time set up for 12:30 for a 3some. All was great I was very impressed from what I saw from the pro shop to the clubhouse restaurant to the awesome golf carts with the most comfortable seats I've ever sat on in a golf cart!! We teed off on time and had a 2some playing in front of us, when we arrived on the 2nd tee we pulled up to find the 2some waiting to hit..this was the pattern the entire front nine. After nine we stopped in the clubhouse to grab lunch which took about 10 minutes. Teeing off on 10 we couldn't see anyone in front of us and later discovered that the 2some had stopped after nine. On the 12th tee we rolled up up another 2some waiting to tee off, we sat and waited roughly 10 minutes to tee off and 5 minutes to hit second shots to the green which happed on 13 and 14 too...15 is where it got really bad, we pulled up to a 4some on the tee with the 2some waiting behind them it took 15 minutes to tee off on 15 and near 20 minutes to play the hole so all and all 30 minutes to play that hole! Now I was annoyed and decided to call the clubhouse. I explained to the guy what was happening on the course and he immediately responded with attitude stating we were 7 minutes ahead on our round! At this point it was 4:20 we were waiting again on the 16th tee and we teed off on 1 at 12:30!!! 3 hours to play 15 holes and keep in mind the 2some in front of us left how the hell could we be 7 minutes ahead! He continued to argue with me until I finally hung up knowing it was pointless. When we were waiting on the tee we spoke to the 2some in front of us and the 2 some behind us we all agreed this was the longest time it has ever taken us to play a round of golf! The entire time I never saw a ranger driving around making sure people were keeping pace. What an awesome course but this lack of management completely ruined the experience for me and the other groups playing in front and behind us. And how unprofessional of the guy I spoke to on the phone to argue with a paying customer instead of just apologizing and saying he would send out a ranger to try to speed up play! We finished our round at 5:30, 5 hour round not what I would call 7 minutes ahead of schedule...Pretty frustrating and to be met with attitude by the pro shop really left a bad taste in my mouth...disappointing

Was there for an outdoor wedding. Nice venue. Beautiful, small, very clean and staff extremely friendly. The food was excellent! Wish we could have had seconds. We had perfect weather though. Not sure how I would have felt in not so ideal circumstances (i.e. rain or cold). Be careful with heals! The surface for dining and dancing is stamped concrete with varying levels a height and catch points.

My cousin's wedding was beautiful! The Pavilion was a wonderful spot for both the ceremony and reception. 20 tables of guests with lots of room between to walk. Food was good and staff were friendly and attentive.

I was invited to the Jasper Country Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing and Sandy Pines has quickly become one of my favorite courses. If you live outside the area, it's definitely worth the drive. Jasper County has a lot to offer and the Sandy Pines Golf Course is at the top of the list. It's a great mix of open fairways, water features, great views, and deep sandpits. Enjoy!
