Plum Creek Golf Club is home to a locally well-regarded open parkland layout. The course, which exudes many classic Pete Dye design features, is located in the northern outskirts of the city of Indianapolis. This eminently playable and relatively open layout features tall grasses, multiple water hazards, strategically placed bunkers, testing green complexes and plenty of challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Played 9/11/17. From tee to green the course was in very nice shape. However, the greens were awful for a Pete Dye course. They were very slow and in bad need of being rolled or "smoothed". No GPS on carts and for the price charged, this was not a good golfing experience. Some of the roughest greens I have ever been on. Spikes marks and un-repaired ball marks were present all over the greens. I do not recommend this course unless the greens have been substantially improved. In the condition they were in today, I would only want to pay maybe $25 to play this course.

We had our wedding at Plum Creek. The ceremony was outside at the gazebo and our reception was inside. It was absolutely perfect!! Everything was gorgeous and Maty did a fantastic job coordinating with vendors and assisting with whatever we needed. I couldn’t have asked for more. Book your wedding with them. You won’t regret it! This course has really declined. The pace of play has become terrible. Today, I played two and a half hours to cover 9 holes. There was an extremely slow foursome in front of us and they would not allow us to play through. When we made the turn with the chance to jump ahead, we found several additional foursomes had decided to start from the the 10th hole! This is the big problem. There is no on-course marshal and there are several "frequent" players who ignore all the rules. They drive carts all over the place tearing up the course, have no respect for other players, and no respect for the staff. In addition, the condition of the course continues to get worse. The greens are terrible landmines of ball marks. Management tries to maximize the number of players on the course and this does not help the pace or the conditions.

Booked on Golf Now. Showed up, told I had to play front twice, back was closed. No where was this advertised in my prepaid reservation. Greens also atrocious, slow as molasses and with aeration holes everywhere. Won't be back.

I enjoy playing at Plum Creek. The only complaint I have is that, for somebody like me who likes to walk, they charge the same rate. I don't think that's fair and wish they would have a separate rate for those that like to walk.

It's a nice course and it's typically in really good shape. It isn't especially challenging, except from the tips, and has a number of risk/reward holes for the long hitters. Unless you're playing at a private course, expect any course to have pock-marked greens, particularly later in the season. My only gripes are that the green fees are overpriced, pace of play can be a grind on weekends, and they have a habit of over-watering the fairways. The course is under new management for 2018, so it should be interesting to see whether their stewardship has a positive or negative effect. I really liked the Hazletts and am very sorry to see them go.
