It’s a “yes of course” kind of place! Very impressed with staff, the grounds, maintenance and amenities! The food is fabulous and so is their wine selections - enjoyed at the club house or by the beach. For a special treat reserve a table on the beach surrounded by tiki torches, put your toes in the sand and listen to the ocean waves as you enjoy a five star meal. Golf course is well designed with a good mix of challenge and beauty. Highly recommend this club, for a visit or to call it home. There’s only one drawback; You’ll never want to leave!

I have played a few courses but not as good as the Kohanaiki. Simply the best! Their staff is taught to LOVE the guest. The Restaurant on the Beach has the best service and food on the Island. I don't think you will be able to go to this beautiful place unless you are buying a home there, but, if you know someone who can get you on, I guarantee you will surely enjoy yourself. This is a 1st Class Club and community.

Funny how all the negative reviews have somehow been removed. This used to be a great local family/surf spot, now its been ruined by this development, and all its restrictions. no this, no that, Now only has very limited parking so once the minimal stalls are full the security guard doesn't allow you to park. Yet another nice beach ruined by development. we only have a few left and they will soon be gone too. kua bay ?

Do not work landscape here! I was hired through a staffing agency to help with landscaping and landscaping maintenance. It was nice at first learning how things are done. The resort itself is pretty, but the energy there is off. As a new hire through the agency they assign you the undesirable tasks like raking rocks. I was dumbfounded when I found out I was making $2 more per hour at the staffing agency than guys who have been there for years. Good luck getting help when needed. The worst experience I had working here was the food. It's great that they provide food for the employees but on numerous occasions the office administrator who sets up the lunch warned us about the lunch meat claiming she was "unsure" about serving it after sniffing it!! Before ultimately serving it! Forget about getting raise there too. A lot of the guys who work there come from Hilo and they should get paid a decent wage for the quality work they do. The supervisor Joey preaches about Ohana and community and teamwork, but it's all talk unless it's pertaining to the residents who make the supervisors jump through hoops. Save yourself the trouble and go to 4 seasons!

Dry Left side of Big Island, not lush and green like Hilo Right and North sides of the islands. State park South of Kona town has ok snorkel beach if you get there early. Locals, Natives don't like tourist snorkeling at Shark Temple up coast. And snorkeling is generally lousy on this Left side. My 2 fortune buddy just golfs on this Left side! ;)
