We were on Vacation from Florida staying in a Vacation rental in Lake Arrowhead and were not planning on playing golf. The club rentals they offered were fantastic & the course & layout are 5 ☆☆☆☆☆. Head pro very knowledgeable about his products. I even bought a new driver while I was there. Highly recommend this if you are in the area!

Wonderful course and clubhouse food service are excellent. However, and this is the entire reason for the 2 stars, the marshal's do nothing to maintain course courtesy and pace of play. I have, on several occasions, had to pull off the course due to slow players ahead. 3 hrs, or nearly three hours, for 9 holes is unacceptable. And to have a marshal drive right by the slow play groups without stopping or saying a word is also unacceptable. Pace of play and ready golf needs to be enforced but the marshals do nothing to enforce it and rarely even stop. They just drive around. If you're going to play here, choose your time wisely. The only time I have had success is with a 7:30 tee time...in other words, first tee time of the day and noone in front. I am now considering cancelling my membership despite enjoying the course itself.

Let me start with the positives. The course is in the middle of very picturesque scenery, everyone was nice and our starter was a hoot. The food at the clubhouse was good and the price is very reasonable. So why the 2 stars?? The course is in really rough shape with lots of weeds and problems with the greens and the tee boxes. On top of the rough shape, it’s just a really quirky course with a lot of ridiculous holes. We played the white tees and I think the shortest Par 3 was 175 yards.

Absolutely Awful. Grass growing in the bunkers. Fairways are awful, rocks in the fairways. The greens were about as bad as I have ever seen on a course. Played there years ago and it was way better than this. They better get someone working there real fast or this course will close real quick. I won't ever be going back there.

The layout of this course is great! It is tough. I average an 81 and came away with a 77 today. This is very much a shot placement course. I probably only used driver off the tee on 8 or 9 holes. There are some long par 4s on this course. The course has been aerated recently so the greens and fairways were not great. I hope that when the grass comes in as the days get longer the place will be in wonderful shape. The price was very fair due to the conditions. $18 with a cart. The fellow in the clubhouse (Ule?) was very helpful.

Came down from Chattanooga to play this course. Saw nothing but great reviews so I had to check it out. Upon arrival at the country club, a beautiful large club house with a nice pro shop and eating area. Stepped onto the practice putting green and was highly impressed with the greens. This is usually a sign as to how the greens on the course are and that they were! Soft greens, yet well cut and rolled very well. Teed off #1 which was a beautiful par 5 to start the round. This mountain course was very well maintained from fairways to greens and tee boxes. Some greens more undulated than others but made for an exciting round. I even sunk a 42 foot putt for birdie on #12. I will definitely be back in the near future and will tell many others about this experience!

One of my favorite communities. When you drive past the gate, you are welcomed by a beautiful vista of the N. Georgia mountains. The lake has a marina & clean water. Enjoy golf, tennis, pool & walking trails.

The holes aren't too technical but I do have to say that the fairways are a very good challenge due to the high elevation changes nearly every hole! I only played 9 holes when I was rained out so we headed into the clubhouse and had a couple of pints. Got to check out their golf store, lots of great selection including Lake Arrowhead clothing/gear. Had a great time and I will be back to finish the other 9!! Just on a side note: it you have either a GPS tracker or scope BRING IT. Unfortunately, the the carts don't have GPS to see how far you are out from the cup but their are plenty of markers on the fairways to be fair (and it's not like you can see the flag from the bottom of all the hills).

Wonderful golfcourse wonderful staff horrible property owners. Every time I play they are walking around 16th tee which is fine but they don't move out of your way or seem to mind you are teeing off behind them. It amazes me how people can be so stupid!!

This course is Veteran and First Responder friendly, as well as handicap friendly. Though don't have the solo rider but will make exceptions to help the disabled out. Kevin Aines, the local pro, is eager to the handicap improve their swing and especially on the putting green with his Pro Low system. The course is challenging to say the least and has its ups and downs, lol, but it's beauty is 2nd to none!!!

Clubhouse is newer, scenery is beautiful and greens are in good shape, after that everything needs work. Happy to have gone and took in the scenery. It has so much potential but needs fairways and tee boxes with grass, smooth cart paths , new carts and much more. Staff was freindly and price was very reasonable.

My husband and I have always wanted to try Highlands Grill so we ate here on Saturday August 31, 2019. My husband ordered the fried flounder platter and it was delicious. He was hesitant about ordering the Brussel sprouts because they can be bitter if not cooked properly. However, these were very delicious! The only disappointment for my husband was that they were out of wild rice but he got a baked potato instead. I ordered the chicken tender plate with broccoli and green beans. My only complaint was when I think of “fried chicken” I want to bite into crispy, crunchy chicken. My chicken was bland and the batter had no crispness to it at all; in fact, it was falling off. They need to work on this more. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a very nice server. We will definitely come back!

Traveling through the area and came across this course on GolfNow. First off the course was beautiful along with the views. ALOT of elevation changes through out. Greens were good and the tee boxes were great for the most part. Couple of dead spots through out a couple of the fairways, nothing major! The club house was execeptional as well, looked basically brand new. You won’t find a better price on a public course this nice!

I drove out to see the area properties and amenities. Yacht and Country club seems a bit pretentious. No facilities at lake other than dock. After dodging raised manhole covers so as to not blowout a tire, made it to golf clubhouse. Sadly the Clubhouse exterior needs basic mulch, weeding and maintenance. Just not what you want for upscale property. Inside ladies room needs cleaning and a good scrubbing to make it what it could or should be. A disappoint over all.
