Service (not to include bartender) was awful! First it was a whirlwind to even find since its located up and around the Chamber of commerce. Then we finally get to it and no greeting or host so we sit at the small bar, because all 5 inside tables are full. The bartender right away asks for our drinks and some other guy maybe cook brings us menus( that part was nice). Then a waitness clears a table and says we can sit there ..cool. We wait about 10 mins before another waitress comes to ask if anyone has taken our order, but didn't seem to want to take it and stated she had other tables. Apparently there's another area we had no idea of, because again not seated or greeted and had never been. A cook brings our food out and shrimp taste good (had to ask bartender for butter for baked potato) steak was lacking!!! Waitress came by later saying again she has other tables. Only saw her when we asked for check and box, which took forever !! We should of just stayed at the bar! Poor service, need some sort of management or system in place. Only reason for the 3 star and not 1 is only because of the bartender and view.

Beautiful location to have a wedding.. however, the guy who runs the pro shop was extremely rude. He also harassed my wedding party! We planned a very small family wedding there by the course, and he threw a fit!!! Grumpy old man to say the LEAST. I highly recommended any bride NOT having her wedding near the pro shop.

Good service, great people and excellent food. Will go again if for nothing more than the view. Don't forget to walk thru the entire building to view the many Christmas trees and wreaths decorated by local businesses and associations. They're ready works of art, loaded all sorts of creative ideas and truly bueatiful.

We're from NC and have a family visiting from PA. They love to golf and my husband had taken us to my first time golfing at Union Goft Course first. Unfortunately, the guy who we assumed he's the manager or the owner there was rude to us driving up to tell us to move faster because they had a league coming up behind us. (He didn't greet us well and looked rush in the beginning anyway. So unprofessional.) Well, we would appreciate if someone told us that when we made a reservation so we could have gone there earlier. We wanted to enjoy the day with good nice folks golfing like my family has experienced. We were wrong so we left and went to Butternut Creek Golf Course instead, and I'm so glad we did. BEAUTIFUL goft course with polite and professional management! They warmly welcomed us and told us to take our time. They have better goft carts and better maintenance. We did enjoy our day there and met a lot of nice people who came there to have a wonderful golfing day. Everyone looked so happy there. So here is the choice if you want to go golfing with your family.

The gentleman that we talked to was very rude. Told us we needed to have the carts back by 730 sharp OR ELSE. That he didn't have time to chase down out of towners. We told him that we were regulars and played here often and spent quite a bit of money here weekly,he told us he didn't care about our money.so we told him it would be our last time. Way to run off customers dont know if he was the manager or what but he's a very poor representative for this course

Golf course is amazing with crazy undulations. Played with the course pro and made it an even better round watching good golf yet admiring the golf course designers creative imagination. If you want to play a course that had a layout that will make you say WOW .... this course will do that on EVERY hole.

Wow! Well done. We live in Naples, Florida, (home to quite a few nice golf courses), but must say that our visit to Butternut Creek Golf Course was quite memorable. We're not used to playing on mountainous courses and Butternut Creek had everything we were looking for in terms of a diversion from Florida Golf. BC offers you a fair price and has breathtaking views of the mountains plus a challenging course. The staff is friendly and the local golfers are even friendlier. One word of caution: our GPS gave us directions that took us into a retail store parking lot instead of the clubhouse. Give yourself a few extra minutes to find your way to the clubhouse -- especially if you're relying on GPS.

This is my favorite local course by far. The guy working the proshop is awesome. Super nice people everywhere actually. Have not meet a single person that I didn't like our enjoy talking too. The course is challenging and some up and down hill holes but it and the greens are always in great condition. I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried this course to give it a shot.

I have played here many times. This is not a long course, not a lot of water and not many sand traps. BUT-it is hilly with doglegs and some sloped fairways that make you put the ball in the right place-or else. Very fair and challenging and in great shape thanks to the county and Parks & Recs. Glenn Hamby, a lifelong resident< has been a terrific volunteer on the board and has helped make this an excellent course.

Finally had an opportunity to play this terrific course. We found the course to be in good shape and had lots to offer for all levels. Elevations could be difficult for some. Pro shop was nice and staff helpful as well as friendly. This has to be one of the better municipal courses in the State. Definitely will return.
