Our family spent our 2017 Thanksgiving at the Scotland Run restaurant. Service was great but we were disappointed with some of the food. The prime rib was awesome. The Seafood scampi? I would have been embarrassed if I was serving it. I could only find small salad shrimp and that was it. So many noodles and no other seafood in it. I don't know why it was called "seafood" scampi. I would recommend that you delete that from your menu. I honestly don't think we'll be back for another holiday celebration.

My family and I decided to do something different today. We checked out Groupon and found this place right up the street from us they have virtual golf. Amongst other fun sports and it was inexpensive. Great friendly approachable staff, private room with a waitress awesome experience we will be doing this again! THANK YOU for the great time

Scotland Run Golf Club is home to a well-rated and popular layout, built in and around a former sand quarry. The course is located in a largely woodland setting, a half-hour's drive from the centre of Philadelphia. This tree-lined and open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy.

Today was the first time I’ve been here for brunch. I have mixed feelings about it. The food was pretty good, no complaints there. They had an omelet bar, roast beef, waffles, fresh fruit, desserts and more! It would be really nice if they had a juice bar and coffee that you could get for yourself because the wait staff pays absolutely no attention to your needs. I’ll give it a try again sometime.

Attended the Scotland run Super Bowl party. We had a great time. We met new friends and had a fantastic time. The food was amazing, the cheesesteak bar and taco bar was awsome. Kudos to the Scotland run staff and Maureen behind the bar smiling and keeping the drinks flowing. It was a fantastic time.

My cousins wedding her was wonderful. Looked very nice. Quite a small venue. Wouldn't recommend a wedding over 60 people tops including vendors. The gold cub itself was very well kept. Outdoor ceremony was beautifully decorated and presented. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star review is because of the food. Cold even though it was a plated/seated dinner service. Not just mine but the whole table and other people we spoke with as well. It was also quite bland. I got the crab cakes and they were practically falling apart and my wife's prime rib had no seasoning to it at all.

Grass range, well kept fairways and greens. Mostly if not all flat tee boxes. Good service with the beverage cart and halfway house with everything you want. Took a couple lessons there and it’s always nice to have someone else take a look at ur swing.

Normally love this course enough to make the 65 minute trip. Was notified of 'aeration' completed a month ago upon checking in. Almost every green was half covered in mud with no grass or grass grown out to twice the length. The rough was similarly covered in mud or 5 inch patches of grass. I understand its tough to maintain the course with the weather we've had of late but to charge even half the normal rack rate is laughable given last weekends conditions. Wait till next year to play this course!

My family and I went here for a nice Thanksgiving dinner. We we're hoping to enjoy a nice meal and have some time to catch up. First thing that happened is we went to the buffet to get plates to get food. The plates were soaked, and dirty, then what makes it really suck is, when the waiter is nasty. We get new plates and we finally hope to get food. We get our food, which is steak, pork, and chicken, they were so dry, we almost choked. Then we wanted to wipe our hands after we were done our terrible food. I reached for my napkin, and I nearly threw up what I found on there. There was a chewed up piece of steak. Well that was it. My food turned in my stomach. We left and will never come back. This dirty place isn't worth my 40 dollars.

For $110 a round you would expect it to be in better shape. Tee boxes were wrecked. Directed to stay off the rough with the carts because the grass was weak. A lot of burned out areas.

The restaurant has a newly renovated outdoor patio, decent happy hour menu ($5 martinis and apps are my favorite), and really good food (Awesome specials and soup!). Call ahead of time to reserve a table on Friday and Saturdays during the dinner rush, but most other times it is easy to get a table. The gorgeous golf course is maintained immaculately. Highlights are the lake and gorge with an old biplane. Cart girls are out on weekends and snack shop almost always open, which has beer, wine, mixed drinks, nonalcoholic beverages, snacks, and yummy sandwiches.

My wife and I considered having our wedding here (4 years ago). The young girl that we met with was very nice to us. We dont drink, so its a non-alcoholic affair. Then her boss (an older woman) came. Since you're not serving alcohol, you can only have this, that (allowed only certain food options) and she came up with a ridiculous price. The girl felt really bad, knowing how awkward everything turned into and needless to say, she knew what our answer was going to be. Watch who you end up with as a prospective maitre'd

It's a great layout, but today the greens were awful. I've never played greens that bad. They usually maintain them way better. There were patches of grass and dirt all over. Every putt bounced left and right before they went in. I would wait until next season to play here.

The course is in immaculate condition, sans a few T boxes. The landscape almost has an Arizona feel. Some of the holes are so picturesque you would think that you are on a movie set. I would say that it is pricey to play here though.

Now to be fair, I have no idea what the golf course is like. Because I don't golf. But I didn't go here for golf. I came here to get married. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint. They have an entire second floor for banquets. The food is amazing!! The staff is great. Everyone we dealt with was very helpful. If you need help, ask for Marlo. She was our saving grace for picking a spot. We were running out of options and called Scotland run on a whim. Well 45 minutes later she got us a date and in the price we wanted. Can't say enough good things about this place!

5 and 6 dollar appetizers how van you go wrong. Go for the mussels white and red is best skip the tie. Bam bam shrip is good also. The hummus app so so/so. The chips were not crisp. Oh I can not forget the toast served with the mussels. A great touch and very good flavor. Our server was great and verry attentive. Hostess service can use some work. Seems flustered. If this place was closwr to me I would definitely be a regular. Ps sit outside the views and patio is great.

We had family come up to visit from Georgia and stop by Scotland Run for lunch. Our meals were excellent and we could not ask for better service from our waiter. I was extremely disappointed with the turf conditions. The greens had large areas with no grass at all. The rough was patchy and in some areas completely bare. Beyond liking the layout of the course - my experience on the golf course was awful. I hope the course gets help fast.

When we played, a majority of the course should have been considered grounds under repair. I did express my disappointment. Once the club management became aware of the complaint, they went out of their way to apologize and to make amends. The management team, including the GM Nick, were extremely professional and exemplary in handling this situation.

Very disappointed. Worse local course I have played this year. Pittman, Wedgewood, Valleybrook, and Westwood are all in much better shape at a fraction of the price. Greens were all patchy and spotted. Fairways were chewed up and they took out a bunch of trees and left the ground as bare dirt with stones roots and branches. Completely unplayable. The fact that you will charge over $100 for a round of golf is a disgrace! Stay far away! Pittman has new GPS carts and the course is in fantastic shape for half the price!!!

On Tuesday I made an appointment to see their wedding venue at 4pm on Saturday. My future wife and I arrived 15 mins early. As we checked in they could not find the person who’d be showing us the venue. At 4:15 the sales manager told us they didn’t have time to show us around and to make another appointment. How do you wow a customer when that is what your sales manager tells a person. Also, you wasted our time! I hope you can work on your customer service skills!

Golf there quite often but will never visit the clubhouse again, it only takes one bad experience with me and today was that day . Went in to grab a couple beers and something to eat got my first beer had to wait half hour for another beer got tired of waiting got up and left . There was a wedding there with at least 100 people plus the golfers plus the regular customers one bartender are you kidding me . I don’t care if the wedding party was there temporarily till they got their room they knew they’re having a wedding there should’ve put more bartenders on duty. The wedding party were also waiting for drinks. Good luck and good riddance

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SERVICE! I reached out to Marlo Dye, the sales manager, to arrange to host an event at Scotland Run. We set up a date to meet for a tour, and she did not show up. I gave myself quick a tour of the facility, thought it was very nice, and followed up via email to contract. Marlo agreed to book with me, and I excitedly told my friends about the even that I would soon host at Scotland Run. Days later, Marlo sent a contract with a few errors, and I kindly stated the issue for her to revise so I could sign the correct form and make a deposit. Marlo failed to follow up with me, and so I contacted her via phone and email with a few friendly reminders. She then promised to send the new contract by the next weekend, and so I happily arranged for invitations and a website update for my event. A week passed and still, nothing. Since I could not get in touch with Marlo after 4 weeks of failed attempts, I kindly contacted the General Manager, Nick Borro to ask if he could arrange to have the contract sent to me. With absolutely no apology for the poor service (or complete lack thereof), Nick told me that Scotland Run was not interested in allowing me to host my event with them. No explanation was provided whatsoever. I am appalled at how they believe this type of treatment to a paying customer is acceptable. THIS IS A HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL FACILITY AND I WARN ANYONE WHO IS PLANNING TO HOST AN EVENT WITH THEM TO RECONSIDER. Trump National Golf Club is not far, and provides AMAZING SERVICE.

Rarely has a venue acted with such courtesy, integrity, and class. I can't recommend them highly enough. We were very excited to host a wedding there, having gotten a recommendation from a family member. Scotland Run worked with us on the food, drinks, decorations -- everything -- helping us stay within budget while planning a wonderful event. We were particularly charmed by the cleverly designed double gazebo, where both the guests and bridal party are under cover while enjoying a beautiful view. Equally impressive was the strategy for dealing with some pretty tricky food allergies and limitations. Unfortunately, the wedding did not take place, but Nick at Scotland Run went way above and beyond to lessen the impact of this. Scotland Run will treat you the way your own family would. If you are thinking about an event, you need to consider Scotland Run.

You really can't beat their Sunday brunch buffet, both in quality and price. I've also ordered off the menu for lunch and dinner, and the food is very good, but I do like the variety of a buffet and will always choose that, given the option. They sometimes have a small lunch buffet that is quite satisfying, even with limited options, and I took my parents there for the Thanksgiving buffet... worth every penny, we all agreed. Fabulous food and a pleasant ambiance; service has always been very good as well. I don't drink, but others have always enjoyed the bar, and the bar menu is very good as well.

Since I could not get in touch with Marlo after 4 weeks of failed attempts, I kindly contacted the General Manager, Nick Borro to ask if he could arrange to have the contract sent to me. With absolutely no apology for the poor service (or complete lack thereof), Nick told me that Scotland Run was not interested in allowing me to host my event with them. No explanation was provided whatsoever. I am appalled at how they believe this type of treatment to a paying customer is acceptable. THIS IS A HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL FACILITY AND I WARN ANYONE WHO IS PLANNING TO HOST AN EVENT WITH THEM TO RECONSIDER. Trump National Golf Club is not far, and provides AMAZING SERVICE.

Got married here. Great golf course as well, shot here a few times, always good condition, always timed just right, no stacked tee boxes. The staff here is amazing, from the guy who grabs your clubs when you arrive to the women working the event services. Hands down an amazing place. I can't recommend Scotland Run enough!

Played in an outing here yesterday, and I’m impressed with the amount of improvements they have made to the course since I was here last year. They cut a bunch of trees down to open it up a little, and it made a big difference when playing off the fairway. We had a great time on the course, one of the better outings that I can remember. It’s worth checking out the new layout here, great job!

Scotland Run is usually a gorgeous course, but over the last I guess year they've had to remove dozens and dozens of trees. I've played here several times, though not during the last two years, and I played again two weeks ago. I almost didn't recognize the course. I assume the trees had a disease of some kind because I couldn't discern any change in the layout, but right now it's kind of an eyesore. That said, the fairways are in great shape, and the greens were running fast and smooth. I won't go again this year; I'll wait until all the now-treeless areas have grown in somewhat.
