(This review is only about the course.) Amazing golf course. The quality is superb. The design is awesome too. The edges of the bunkers make it look like a course like Sandhills in Nebraska or Cabot Cliffs. It is challenging and fun. There are three things I did not like. When I reached there, they ran out of carts. I thought that they were supposed to be prepared. Second, I was initially scared to play there because I saw how long the course was. However, the scorecard is completely off. For example, the red tee of hole 2 says 368, but my GPS said 295. Third, there are cart paths running on both sides of the hole, and as a person who was new to the course, it was confusing for me.

My daughter Dana just married the love of her life. We worked with Miranda and Kaitlin and couldn't be happier. They made everything extremely easy and smooth from the first meeting and throughout the entire reception. I would recommend this venue 100% to anyone wanting a stress free wedding. Beautiful golf course that keeps getting better year after year ever since Jaworski took it over. I have played here many many times and have never been disappointed in the way the grounds were kept or the professionalism of the staff. There is a snack stand after hole #9 and be sure to check out the bar afterwards for drinks and great food. We come here just for dinner at the bar some nights.

Our daughter’s wedding took place at Running Deer October 2018. From start to finish the entire process could not have been easier. The new Timbers wedding site is absolutely fantastic. The entire staff were professional, pleasant and accommodating. The food was delicious. We received many complements. We would recommend running deer to anyone looking for a wedding venue or any other type of event venue.

Got married last tonight. I can not say enough how much the venue helped out. Kaitlin the coordinator was amazing and Miranda the event coordinator was beyond accommodation. Heather Derosa couldn't ask us enough what she could do for us. Our bartender made the greatest drinks. I could not recommend them more for your wedding they literally take care of everything.

Our experience with running deer was nothing but amazing. The staff was ON POINT, and always helped when able. Heather was an amazing assistant during the wedding, and katelyn was a STAR. Miranda made sure everything was done well, and the whole thing was killer.

We had our wedding here in July and it was well worth the expense. The staff was awesome from the beginning to the end. We had some issues with them losing our check for a payment but, it was fixed. The food was great and we had a lot of compliments we would like to pass onto the chefs. We would especially like to thank Heather who did an outstanding job making sure everything went smooth even when it started to rain and had to move the ceremony and cocktail hour inside. The locker room for the males was perfect.

I attended my nephew's wedding this morning at Running Deer Golf course in Pittsgrove and was blown away by this venue. From the scenery outside to the beautiful room inside it was perfect. The staff were VERY polite, and attentive. Especially Heather & Jose. They were there for every single need before we even asked. Great people. The food was delicious and the chocolate room was off the charts. I would recommend this venue to anyone for every occasion.

If your looking for a well maintained course with plush tee boxes, fairways & fast greens...look no further! Challenging but fair track! Very playable for a high handicapper but you will be but to the test! RUNNING DEER GC did everything but DISAPPOINT!!!!

So I know a former employee there and she told me a lot of disgusting stuff. The plates are always dirty and they have servers cleaning them before they send them out. She said the food is reused and never hardly fresh. Downstairs where they keep some food and other products smells like cat urine. She left on a couple of reasons but the girls there are very rude and mean. I asked around to any of my friends if they went here and see what they said and they said the girl servers are awful. They leave there tables all full and what not. The GM is very nice guy. Olivia is also. Sue from what I heard is very mean and short. Overall I won't be recommending this place to anyone

Went back and forth with three and four stars and then realized that I was penalizing the course for its location, so I went with four. Played the course two weeks ago. They had two weddings on the same day and parking was a mess. The course was in OK shape, not great, but no major issues either. Greens had recently been aerated, so it's tough to gauge what they'll be like when they come back. The course typically is well-maintained. The staff are friendly. It's not the hardest test of golf that you'll ever face, but it keeps your interest. That fourth star is probably for the friendliness of the staff and the fact that the course does have an interesting design.

From start to finish I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff working at Running Deer. The food is absolutely amazing and the place is GORGEOUS!!! First, I met with Miranda, who was extremely kind, helpful, and detail oriented during my venue search. She helped me pick the perfect date, and package that best suited my needs. Next I met with Kaitlyn, who is absolutely AMAZING!! No matter what she was in constant contact with the entire planning process. She walked me through hiring vendors, gave her personal and very honest opinion (which was extremely refreshing and helpful) about linens, food choices, and really showed how dedicated she is to her clients. And last but certainly not least.. Heather DeRosa. On my wedding day- 10/06/19, I was greeted by Heather when I first arrived at Running Deer to prepare for my wedding. As most people are, I was extremely nervous and on edge because ya know.. this was the most important day of my life. Heather was by my side all day, catering to my every need and was there just to talk to help calm me down. I can honestly say that my day would not have been perfect without her. As she put it, she was my Fairy Godmother for the day, and that she absolutely was. Every time I would blink, there she was. I have never met someone so dedicated, kind-hearted, and selfless before. She truly made me feel like a Princess on the most special day of my life. If you’re reading this review and haven’t picked a venue yet, I would look no further!!!! They made my dreams come true, and I know they can make yours!!

We had our wedding at the Running Deer Golf Club.on 12-9-11. Everything was excellent, the Running Deer team did an awesome job. EXCEPT, we used their house bakery for the wedding cake The Sweet Life Bakery. We were told that we did not need to keep the top of the cake because they would make us one for our 1st anniversary...well its here...1 year tomorrow. We went today to pick up the cake from Sweet Life and were handed this off white cake with flowers and butterflys..(mind you we had a winter snow flake wedding with a white snowflake cake.) This cake said Happy Anniversary it looked like it was a left over cake from fall. We asked what happen and were told by the owner that they cant remember every cake they do and thats not what is suppose to be done. And that this cake would taste good...(great customer service huh) well thanks for ruining my 1st year Anniversary Sweet Life

ok so the golf course is great. i used to live in running deer and play it all the time. so i decided to work there and see how everything goes down. first off the management is terrible but not the pro shop. bj has no clue what hes doing. plates are dirty there cause for some reason they do not want to buy a new dishwasher so even glasses forks spoons and knives also r dirty. food went downhill a lot this is a great place to golf but eating here is not. unless u want to get sick from dirty plates and glasses. food is not even enjoyable. i know someone that still works there that said that 10 people got sicks from the nuri virus for the dirty plates and all that

I was really hoping to hold my wedding here but I left very disappointed. The pictures I saw ahead of time were absolutely beautiful but once I arrived I knew right away it wasn't well kept. The coordinator I met with was filling in and she was extremely dull and didn't seem to know much. I hope they are able to clean it up a bit for future weddings!

Loved the course, great price, well laid out and challenging. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because the grounds crew was cutting tee boxes and greens while we were trying to play. I understand these things must be done to maintain the course but doing it at 1030 to 2 PM on a Monday when we are trying to play a round doesn’t seem well planned. Also it would be great if the grounds crew stopped mowing and moved to the side when we’re trying to tee off or hit our ball, didn’t happen at all on at least 6 holes, very frustrating. This constant frustration detracted from what would’ve been a very enjoyable experience, hope it doesn’t happen in the future.
