Delcastle Golf Club is a County owed and operated facility. It has golf, a small restaurant and a park across the street that has tennis, soccer, baseball and walking paths. It is a good, reasonably priced place to play golf and a fabulous place for families. Not a country club but great for the rest of us.

Way overpriced for a mediocre course. This is a $35 a round course and they are selling this course at a rate HIGHER than courses in much nicer condition such as Deerfield ($53), Frog Hollow, Odessa National ($55) etc.

Decent golf course to practice your golf skills... not the best but not bad either, could be enjoyable if not too crowded. They are improving the course maintenance so let's hope it would be better. I would rate it 3.5 to 4

Delcastle is an enjoyable course and all the people, from the starter to the pro shop & cafe people have been very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, with all the rain this year the course isn't in the best shape. I found the fairways have numerous areas devoid of grass and the bunkers are either ponds full of water, or of cement-like hardness. Some of this is unavoidable due to the weather, but what really bothered me on the last couple of rounds was: 1) Pace of play. Our tee time was 10:03 we didn't actually tee off until 10:15 and we finished the round at close to 4:00. There were a couple of groups ahead of us that were very slow play. The problem was there was NO RANGER to police the pace of play. 2) This was a beautiful, warm, sunny Sunday morning but there was no water in any of the water coolers around the golf course. The refreshment cart was also missing in action and we didn't see it all day. By the 9th hole we were all dying of thirst. I realize it's been a tough year for all the courses around here due to the excessive rain, but these basic amenities need to be addressed, especially when I'm paying a full-price weekend greens fee.

Ranger came and told the group ahead of us to pick it up...we played through anyway. Greens were fast, bunkers looked like mud, but it's delcastle....not bad for $45

I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after the blatant sexism I witnessed at this course. I went with my girlfriend and, as we walked toward the clubhouse from the parking lot, a guy loudly asked me why I didn't know that I 'shouldn't bring women to the golf course'. Next, the starter asked my girlfriend whether she would play with pink golf balls -- it was said very condescendingly and was inappropriate . Finally, on the ninth hole, when my girlfriend sank her putt (with a bogey), a group of guys behind us shouted and applauded. I will definitely not go here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Went with a group for a scramble tournament. Patronizing Starter questioned me for standing on the white tee box because my group probably isn't good enough to play from that location. Suggested that we started from the forward tees and then explained that they are called the forward tees because they are toward the front. We then needed to wait for a single golfer sent out before our group. While waiting for the golfer to hit his second shot from 150 yards in front of the forward tee, we were told to hurry up because we were already past our tee time. Please take your group to a different location.

$34 to walk 9. not happening lol EDIT (since they replied): They told me on my original call that the app offers $24 times. This still does not address the fact that there is no walking rate. The Delaware Advantage card costs $34 and saves you $3 off every 9 hole round, so you'd need to play twelve 9 hole rounds to save $2... kinda laughable, but makes sense for this course considering they once took all the water coolers off to try to get people to buy more drinks.

I arrived at Delcastle 20 minutes before my tee time yesterday excited to warm up before a good round, when my father and I were told we would need to head out with another twosome immediately. Which had already teed off on the first hole and was about to drive off as the starter screams for them to come back. I asked the starter why we needed to go out 20 minutes early and could not wait for our tee time, he responded in a rude manner that he only allows foursomes out on weekends and that if we didn't go now he didn't think he would ever be able to get us out to play(We had already paid and had a tee time). I responded that it was fine then we would just wait till later even if we get out late we wanted to warm up and then he responded in almost a baby voice "Hey buddy, I don't think you understand you have to go now." I was pretty shocked at the conversation so we headed to the first tee after I put my father and my bags on to the cart grabbed my own scorecard and pencil(Such a hurry you think he would have the carts ready). As I was driving off he proceeded to yell that it was the policy and he doesn't make the rules.(I've played about 50 rounds at Delcastle and never had this happen) The round was as good as ruined with the fact it started with the starter screaming at us when we were early for our tee time. I usually go to Delcastle about 1-2 times a month during the golf season after this I don't plan on ever going back. The golf course is not in great shape and with service like that its not even worth half of what it costs.

I've played this course twice now. It is a nice course and not overly expensive. The layout is good for the average golfer to provide decent scoring. I've met nice people there and will return.
