We had our son's rehearsal dinner at Topstone. It was perfect. The food was excellent. Ashley was great to work with during the planning. She even accommodated a late add for gluten free and vegetarian meals. Those guests were very happy with their special meals. Perfect place for a group of 30-40. Highly recommend.

I play this course twice a week almost every week from the time they open until they close for the season. I have always raved about Topstone's condition to anyone that will listen. It rarely varies with the exception of when they aerate which even then seems to have minimal impact. For the money, you will not find a better or more consistently conditioned public course in the state of CT. This course drains extremely quickly from rain like no other course I've ever seen. I have never seen a muddy condition anywhere on this course, even after torrential rains! I'd give this course 6 stars if I could.

The Safari Club has developed a reputation of playing some fantastic venues over the last decade or so and Topstone rates right up there among the best. The golf course itself is outstanding. But no more outstanding then the folks that staff their facilities. Everyone from the pro shop to the kitchen and on outside to the guys preparing the carts work as a close team to make your day at Topstone a memorable one. With close proximity to the Bradley airport, Topstone will provide the business or pleasure traveler a real unique golfing experience without breaking the bank. If you like to travel and play different golf courses, Topstone is one you need to add to your list.

I played Topstone Golf course today with the Safari Club and it was in perfect condition. Greens, fairways, bunkers and tee boxes were all fantastic. We were served a great BBQ lunch afterwards. The only reason that I only gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because they ran out of food and not everyone got to eat what they wanted. That's not good

Played here on 9/27 with the Safari Club. This was our second Safari Club visit here, as everyone enjoyed it so much last year. In the interim, my group liked the course so much that we returned 3 more times. Every time -- including this one, the course was in excellent condition from tee to green! The staff was excellent and had everything very well organized from the time we arrived to and including the nice barbecue buffet that we enjoyed after golf. Looking forward to returning for some Fall golf. Topstone is "Top Notch"!

Challenging local course with mostly open holes. A few play narrow between the trees but nothing impossible. Good mix of technical holes as well. Very well maintained and friendly staff.

Nice cource, VERY insulting staff. I have never played golf here before. The course layout was confusing at times (between the 3rd and 5th holes, especially). We had mistakenly skipped over a couple of holes, being informed by a couple of players of our error (they too had made this mistake when they first play this course due to it being poorly marked). After a couple of hours of play, we thought we were on the last hole. A staff member hurried out and yelled out our names, informing us that if we intended on playing another 9 holes, we had to pay for it first. I stared at this guy dumbfounded. I thought to myself: "we haven't even finished the 9th hole. Why would he be accusing us of "stealing" another round." He then pointed out that we were on the 10th hole and that we had only paid for 9 holes. His tone was accusatory and condescending AND he acted this all out loudly in front of a dozen or so people waiting behind us. We felt publicly humiliated. The jerk could easily have come to us quietly and informed us of our error. Too say the least, we promptly left. I refuse to give my money to establishments that treat their customers this way. This guy should be fired. I'm insuring I let others know of this incident. I won't return and my golfing friends have also scratched Topstone off their list.

Good course, even though my ball seems to be a tree magnet, only complaint I have was the sarcastic smart a$$ course ranger, who needs to learn how to speak to people he doesn't know properly and politely, without the sarcasm. He pissed me off almost immediately and definitely messed the next couple holes up for me because I was all fired up and it took longer to get into a groove because of it. Besides that, everyone else seemed to be very polite and courteous, no other complaints.

Played Topstone on 9/27/17 with Safari Golf Club. Course was in fabulous shape all the way around. The entire staff was very friendly. The buffet afterwards was delicious. Will definitely be playing there again soon.

Well maintained and quite open. Basically all greens are protected by bunkers and they like to tuck pins right here the hazards. My go to course when I'm back in town.

Great place to play. The pro shop is one of the best in the area. Casey and his staff are always welcoming and very accommodating. Gary keeps the course in excellent shape all year round. Every year, this course becomes more challenging as it matures. The weekend Men's Club is the best around.

A beautifully maintained course with more sand traps than a star wars film. Carts are new and have plenty of zip. Beer cart was out and around often. Prices are a bit too high but they make up for some of it by offering a bar credit.
