Best public golf course in the Stamford CT area. Interesting 18 hole golf terrain, well maintained. Catering for events, driving range, chipping practice area, putting practice area and pro shop all available to the public. Showers too.

Nice enough course. Quite pricey for what it is though. I was on business so I rented clubs, I had to buy balls and tees separately which is annoying. I thought the guys in the pro shop seemed a little arrogant if I’m honest. Felt like they were quizzing me before releasing rental clubs. When I said I play fairly regularly, the direct response was “how come you don’t have your own clubs then?”. Not terrible but felt a little antagonistic for no reason. In summary, nice course but wasn’t overly impressed with the staff or prices. (The cart guy was awesome though)

It’s a great, challenging layout that’s just getting better every year. Yes, play can be slow especially in the afternoon on weekends. Offers a year-round driving range and 19th hole for a pint and a snack afterward. Their pro shop is well equipped and offer a good menu of instructional services. Bottom line, in a county where private courses dominate, this is a great option.

Greens are kept in good shape, the course has a great layout for the price, and it's rated 72+/130+ from the tips at 6600 yards. I love playing here.

First time playing here after some one recommend it and what a treat, even though they were aerating the fairways as you played and had 2 temporary greens this was a cracking course to play. Local knowledge is key here, thankfully the 2 local lads helped us navigate. Course was in great condition, a very walkable course, long par 3's, bit of water, plenty of doglegs and friendly staff made for a very pleasant round of golf, looking forward to my return

Horrible!! Can't get a tee time booked through their outdated website. Each time I go to enter the credit card, it says card not valid. Calling the pro shop doesn't help either since they expect the all golfers to get their booking done through the website. Haven't played on the course yet but getting a tee time booked shouldn't be this hard. It's 2017 for God's sake.

This is one of the best public courses in Fairfield County. Just got done playing a round there today and for a nice day in February they were ready to go with regular greens and the place was packed. During the summer the course is immaculate.

Beautiful golf course with a restaurant Zodies 19th Hole and regional theater. CURTAIN CALL is the theater group that puts on plays worth seeing ! Attended the musical "Sister Act" this past weekend. The show was very well done and we had second row seats for less than $30 each. However we are not fans of the restaurant .. lackadaisical service and somewhat bland uninspired food. A bit better than their other place on Stillwater Rd.

The view while sitting outside with a cocktail was great. I had the nachos as an appetizer, they were very good. I ordered a steak, it was flavorless. When I go back I will keep to drinks and appetizers.

Classy, upscale clubhouse with a warm atmosphere and a homey feel. Great place to relax, share your musings on life, and bond over delicious food and drinks. Plenty of parking available, enough to accommodate the capacity of every building on the premises. The staff are extremely nice and very professional - tip them well! We reserved the clubhouse for a 90th birthday/family reunion and they took care of everything from catering, music, bartending, etc.. for an entire evening!!! Amazing time that we will never forget :D

just a great course and superior facilities. Barbara Boltin was a great instructor and is sorely missed. The course keeps getting better and the staff friendly. The new grounds manager seems very dedicated.

Great course but the staff was rude as hell .. I totally understand pace of play is important but when you have a group of 4 and a group of 3 behind you well you do the math .. I'm trying to enjoy my day off of work and go as fast as I can but when staff member is yelling at you for being " slow" I have an issue ..first of all I tried to explain we are going as fast as the game lets us and how we respect the rules but apparently lance bass didn't care ..then when one of the members on the goon squad was watching us I felt rushed so I drove off so we get yelled at again .. Great corse but the staff was rude as hell ..I didn't appreciate the unprofessionalism

Love this place!!! First time I've played it was today!!! It's a shotmakers paradise!!! You just don't get to the tee box and let it eat!!! This is a course you really have to think your way around!! Place was in excellent condition!!! Greens were fast and rolled true!!! Blew away me and my 19 friends that played there today!!! We as a group will definitely be back!! #thelinksmen

I highly recommend Sterling Farms to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some time outdoors. It features a gorgeous 18-hole golf course, tennis courts and delicious food and drinks. Its team is very friendly and always willing to answer any questions you may have!

Best public course in the area for the price but can play slow. They have a driving range and a great hill for sledding in the winter they let kids use. It's a small hike but well worth it.

I enjoy most of the holes on this course, and the course is usually in great condition. I'd give it 5 stars, but it's very pricey, even for residents, once you factor in the cart fee.
