Nice track that is conveniently located. The holes can get a little repetitive, but don’t sleep on this course as you can post a big number in a hurry on more than a few holes from the back tees. The reason that I LOVE coming to Stanley however is to practice — they have the best driving range around. Heated covered stalls in the fall and spring really separates Stanley from the rest in this area. Also the ball dispenser takes credit cards so you can be out of your car and hitting balls within two minutes without speaking to a soul — super convenient. Chipping green and putting green are also nicely located and give you all of the shots/chips/putts to work on your game and get better.

Really nice grounds , but some how to us not that interesting a course. We only played the Blue course . I really think another round would be worthwhile . It was blazing hot and I am not quite sure I am being fair.

Great course. Three unique 9 hole courses nestled in between West Hartford and New Britain. Each nine plays a little differently. There is also a heated driving range, practice green and pitching area. This course remains in great shape all season due to the staffs tireless efforts. It can get pretty crowded but generally all the folks that play here are nice and willing share a round of golf.

Lit driving range used to be open till 9. Which they were incapable of doing since it always seemed to close at 8ish. Luckily they updated their hours to reflect the 8pm close. Sadly that now means it closes around 730. The rest of the course isn't bad. It's just a public course that they'll get on your ass for like you're playing bethpage black if you show up less than 25 minutes before your tee time. Much less as a single. But whatever, it's golf and I get it.

One of the most well taken care of Municipal courses in the entire state of Connecticut. Three different nine-hole layouts offer challenging fun and interesting holes. A place you must check out if in Central Connecticut.

Course was in fair condition - some holes in good shape, some not. Didn't appreciate the lecture from the starter on our bringing water bottles on course even though it was a stifling hot/humid day. We were told that golfers are expected to patronize beverage carts and facilities. Would've been helpful to know that there were NO beverage carts OR water stations on the course!! Fortunately for the starter, he was not there when I returned to provide my own lecture.

I went to a wedding here. The wedding was super cute, but I do think it's silly that the catering is in a separate little room from the dining tables. The bathrooms were kinda icky. But for a smaller gathering it is a cute place to choose.

Employees here are absolutely wonderful. Great friendly people that are apparently very happy in their jobs. Course is well cared for and speed of play is hard to match. Didn't see a marshall, but unlike most courses there was no delays whatsoever. Very nice course and very reasonable prices. Strongly recommend.

Have played this course about 100 times plus a year. Started playing this course in the early sixties and kept up my season pass until last year. Because I moved out of New Britain and thirty miles away. I will be driving the thirty miles everyday next year to play again. Tried other courses but for the money this is still the best. Plus you get three nines to choose from.

The Stanley Golf Course is public, however it's nicer than some private clubs I have played. They have challenging greens and some tough, but in a good way, tees. The fairways are clean and trimmed. They have three sets of mine, a nice putting practice green and a good sized driving range that you don't have to drive to... The facility has a great restaurant for tournament dinners and a good sized bar. Overall, private quality at a public price.

The starter is friendly and let us get out on whichever 9 we preferred. Conditions are below average of the courses I've played so far this year. Pace of play was slow even though the course wasn't very busy. I usually only play here if I get a very good deal through a tee time website and if I'm in the area. Then driving range is small and well kept. There are two practice greens, one with a bunker and pitching area.
