Best puplic course in the Farmington Valley.

Great golf course absolutely fabulous condition but the starter on the first tee, the tall guy with the beard has no clue on being a starter. We start as a twosome then meet up with a single so we are three, but then two when we make the turn. Then the starter has the audacity to pair us with these hackers ahead of us, which I knew I wasn’t going to play well with these guys. Why couldn’t he pair us in the beginning with these guys? I mean seriously bad course management on this guys part, hence why 4 stars

We absolutely love the course and make it a destination trip several times a season. Always enjoy lunch and a few beers in the 19 hole. However, on today's visit, we got to the restaurant about 11:45 and were the ONLY people in there despite the course being very busy. There were three male employees in the kitchen walking around. We sat down and waited about 5 minutes. No eye contact or greeting. I got up and got us each menus to look at. Still no eye contact. Watched two of them go out a back door for 2-3 minutes (smoke break?) and come back in. Still, nobody looked our way. After a GOOD 10 minutes without so much as a "Hi, we'll be right with you," I got up and returned the menus. I told the three in the kitchen we were going to eat and drink elsewhere since they didn't seem to care that we were there. I went to the pro shop to let them know, and the guy wrote me a phone number and told me to call "Tom," Park & Rec director, because they've had many similar complaints. I called "Tom" and left a message on his voicemail, but 4 hours later, no return call. We went to Joe Pizza in Simsbury and spent our money there instead. Love the golf course, but will NEVER spend another dollar at their restaurant.

A really nice course. The course has beautiful views. The greens are challenging with tough holes. The course is very hilly and diverse. Its 6500 yards from the tips. A reasonable price for 18 holes.

Beautiful golf course. But the tavern is not recommendable. A horrible waitress is waiting for you. She asked me to order more foods. And she overlooked me while I was writing tip on a bill. Even she asked me to revise the tip amount. What a horrible club house.

During peak hours the course can be a bit of a free for all but if you can avoid the rush it is one of the best, most beautiful courses in the area. Good restaurant, driving range and putting green. My friends and I shoot for a late afternoon round of 9 or so and chill out watching the sunset through the valley.
