Called 2 days ago and was told they open at 730 Saturday morning first come first serve. so we made plans, 8 of us, to play. We see today that they have a tournament going on Saturday morning. Will never get our business ever again.

I only golf a few times a year these days but at least once a year my HS buddies come up to visit and play golf at Rockledge. My buddies are all avid golfers and we are always very impressed with Rockledge and have a great time. Great public course with a great staff.

Rockledge is one of the finest municipal courses I've had the pleasure of playing. The layout is interesting, with well trapped, protected greens and strategically located water hazards.The fairways are wide enough for the occasional golfer but scoring well requires shot placement. The course is very well maintained and in great shape, especially for a municipal club, even after a long cold winter and wet spring.

Firstly, I wish the rating system allowed ratings of less than 1 star. This establishment, if it should be so classified as one, falsely advertised a closing time of 7:30 PM and would not sell golf balls for the range at 6:00 PM. They refused to admit they were wrong and threatened my family, even though we were eager to pay as customers. May this blasphemous behavior result in their revocation of business license such that no other patrons must endure this treatment.

After playing a couple public courses within 10 mile radius this would be one of the best around the town. It's in great condition. Staff are friendly and nice and Bob, he is cool! Can't complained much except for one of the ladies at the front desk.. for some reason she just put up a poker face a lot of the times.. that's why it loses a star from my rating; otherwise it'll be a 5/5. Summer 2010.

Literally got off a plane, drove to Rockledge and got right on for a Sunday afternoon 18. Not knowing (first time here), I got a cart. But played with two walking golfers and could have easily walked the round. Beautiful course, lots of TLC throughout. Great tee boxes, lush bent green fairways. Perfect greens that rolled true. Loved the layout. Nice mix of rolling hills, water, blind tee shots and challenging par threes. Bunkers in great shape. Cost was good. $48 to ride, Around $35 to walk. From the back tees, it was about 6500 yards.

As beautiful as any private course around. Really well maintained, always. Rich Crowe, the Pro in charge, is one of the nicest guys I know. He's trained his staff well. They are all friendly and helpful. The Men's Club, which meets every Tuesday and Friday, is a lot of fun and the members are great to play with. Rockledge is a jewel in the crow of West Hartford.

Did a nice job remodeling, deck is beautiful, view of the golf course great. Wait staff was friendly but not very experienced. Food was okay, not great but okay. I would go back and give it another try just because it just opened and everyone deserves another chance.

I attended a company Christmas party here. It was my first time and I could not have been more pleased! I had the baked stuffed sole and it was wonderful. The salad was amazing, and the Bloody Mary's were perfection. They are closed until the spring, but I hope to get back there again when they open for the "Golf" season (they are located on the public golf course).

Great course, no tee times on the weekend after 3 which is great if you forgot or just made last minute plans. Fairways are beautiful. The greens were a little iffy in the beginning of the year but they are great now.no complaints

Last time I was here I destroyed my 3 wood by slamming it on the ground after practically whiffing on a tee shot. Walked off the course on 7 th hole and haven't been back. That was 10 years ago. The course is beautiful. I stink.

Great public golf course that can be a good challenge. The course is well maintained every time I'm there, and I generally have a great time for 18 holes. Only gripe is I feel the driving range could be improved. Maybe a few more areas with grass to hit off and updated yardage markers.

Went for lunch and had a good experience. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was almost 95 degrees when we went so choose to sit inside. Our server was very polite and knowledgable. The menu was fairly extensive for a lunch. Between 3 people we ended up sharing a few sandwiches and a salad and all turned out to be great. Of course the view was great! That was one of the main reason for being there.

Great course for the price charged, with cart, $53 was pretty impressed with this course. Nice fairways, challenging course, nice club house and snack shack. I would advise those who have never played to give it a shot.
