The layout is definitely unique. The greens on a couple holes were pretty challenging. Overall a really nice course. The food was excellent!! The only criticism I have is the loud noise from the raceway abutting the course. Still giving it 5 stars though. I'll be back

Now that Raceway has taken over Melody Hiil, there are vast lmprovements, however..........they need trash containers on every hole......no need for trash to be lying on the ground, as I have seen on several holes. Also, no items available for breakfast????? Is it too hard to have toast, muffins, anything for early golfers? Maybe there can be some changes, would be nice....

This is a great 18 hole course for average golfers. It is not fancy but well maintained. It is located right next to the racetrack. Course is in excellent shape for 2018. They have a special for 18 holes and lunch in the restaurant, it is well worth it.

Stopped up at the lounge to get a drink, then walked down to the entrance (where we usually go) to go see the vintage car show and track day. We were told we had to go to the main entrance to pay and get in. We walk bag to or car, drive to the main entrance, and went to pay for tickets. I'm active military, and the website said the event was free. When I go to pay fur my partner they wanted to charge me. I said I thought this event was free (it was indicated on their website) they told me "not for today". I'd had about enough at this point, so I left. I don't expect freebies, but a bait and switch really pisses me off.

Played here on 9/19/18 with the Safari Club. Course was in very nice condition -- even with all the rain that we had recently. It drained well. Greens putted very true. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had a nice meal in the tavern afterwards. New England clam chowder was out of this world! Looking forward to playing here next year.

Kind of out there. Was in the northeast corner one day and saw this well maintained course. There were able to get me out even though they had a skins tournament going. Round included a fantastic lunch to boot. Will be playing here again even with the hour drive. Well worth it!

Stopped in for Lunch, the pulled pork nachos and the raceway burger are a must! Burger was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Looks like a great hall for functions too, they were setting up for a wedding while we were there. Will definitely be coming back again!

Slowest round of golf ever ! Took 3 hours for 9 holes waiting. Groups just backed up. The rough hasn’t seen a mower this year. Even if you watched the ball land or roll off the fairway in the rough, you might not find it. Not worth $60. Not one bit. Disappointed for sure. Steve M

Had a High School class reunion in the banquet hall. There were 3 choices of entrees- steak, stuffed chicken breast, or fillet of sole. I had the steak. Salad was served about 20 minutes before dinner with a big pitcher of cold clear water for each round table. The 1 lb steak came with rice, & a squash combo (summer & zucchini). All delicious. Almost forgot there was a gravy boat and basket of rolls for our table community. The chairs were comfortable. The matching cloth napkins and table cloths looked new and wrinkle-free. I heard not one complaint about anything. The servers were polite & attentive. There was background music available, which we 100 decided that even without music it was difficult to converse because of a prevalence of loud voices. When everyone was eating, the noise level dropped considerably! I recommend you book your event here.

We've been here before and liked it. Food is pretty good. The Raceway burger is excellent. Fisherman's platter was a little disappointing. Do not go here if you're hard of hearing and wear a hearing aid. The place is so loud it's ridiculous. Wait staff is very good but appeared shorthanded for a Friday night.

Lots of rain the night before. There was standing water hear and there. Light rain to start then was gone after 3 holes. The greens were nice pretty much flat. The food was good also. The price was low.

Small gathering of approx 60. Great sound for the guest speaker. Clean, good view of the grounds (even though it's nothing to write home about), large bar. No food served at our event so I can't comment on that.

I had asked some Rhode Island locals for a good, inexpensive place to eat in the Harrisville / Burriville area. Many recommended the Raceway Golf Club. They were right! The food is good (think of Pub Food). Try the Raceway Burger... 8 oz. Burger topped with cheese, bacon, Onion and tomato. Served with you choice of fries - sweet potato, crinkle cut, or spicy. Portions are pretty big and price is right at $10. I've been there twice. The first time the lounge was quite. The second time the lounge was loud because there was a golf tourney going on and the players were having a great time. I'll go again! Tip:. The first time you go it is a bit confusing what door to enter. Enter by the awning that says lounge and go through the first door on your left. Sit wherever you want... From my two experiences, you'll get faster service the closer you are to the bar.

Last year we held our 9th Annual Charles Cournoyer Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament at Raceway. It was our first time there, and we have found our home! We had been holding our event at other courses, but never have we experienced such an amazing, accommodating staff as we have at Raceway! The weather was calling for rain, and we were offered choices. We could play, have an indoor cornhole, or the players could have vouchers to come back another day. By a vote, all the players chose to suck it up and play! We had 100% commitment. In spite of the rain, we had a wonderful day from start to finish! We were able to award three scholarships instead of two. To remember our son (and to be working with the Hoenig family that our son was friendly with) in this event in our home town means so much to us!

Great course that is groomed well with lots of challenges for the par or bogie player.Greens are exceptionally well kept and approachable with lots of bunkers keeping golfers guessing which club to utilize.All in all a fun course to play for the price.A bonus is the lunch after your round.

Played there yesterday wtih th Safari Club the rain was light but the wind was up . the course played well the conditions were very good the only rub is the tee boxes are very small and not level. The resturant was very good fast service abd very good food . we will be back on a sunny day and enjoy it much more.
