Big fan of this course. It plays a little short but I don't hit it very long so not a problem. Greens are in great shape and fun to play. Pace can be slow (2.5hrs for 9 on a Monday afternoon) especially when following the weekday leagues but I suppose that can be a problem anywhere. Greens fees are reasonable. Practice area is not bad either. Haven't had the food. Definitely recommend.

By far the best and most entertaining set of greens I've ever played. And there's a wonderful sense of isolation, there is absolutely no giveaway that you're only a few miles from downtown Hartford.

Keney Park is one of my favorite courses in the area! The layout is interesting, laid out in a classic style, in synch with the natural contours, having a wide variety of holes requiring a combination of accuracy, length and shot placement. Their signature greens are amazing, large and well kept with multiple levels and cavernous traps. A new clubhouse with a great tavern is the icing on the cake.

Great renovation, greens are immaculate, as are the bunkers with vintage rakes. Fairways are coming in nicely. Not an overly long course but plays longer than the yardage. Greens are huge and undulating, getting close to pins in the correct areas is vital for scoring well. Gem of a course, will definitely back!

What a joy to play. I haven't played Keney since the 60's and decided to play while visiting family. The greens are wonderful. I played the back tees for the challenge and it kicked my butt. Loved it. Great job on the renovation.

I love Keney Park. It's so big, woodsy and filled with wildlife. You can spend a week exploring the park. It's like a state park, but you're still in Hartford. There's also a pool, some baseball fields if you play little league, cricket fields and a golf course. It does not appear that the golf course management company has any idea what they're doing, so hopefully they get replaced soon. There are geologically significant sand dunes to boot.

The most amazing transition in golf course design and maintenance. This course was barely playable four years ago, but a two year shutdown and rebuild has turned it into an interesting and challenging 18 holes. The revamped clubhouse, with a brand new kitchen about to open, is beautiful. If they get a good chef, this may become one of the best eating venues in Connecticut.

The course was recently redone and is in very good shape. The most challenging part is the greens. Many are multiple level with some severe undulations leading to some very interesting putts.

Keney Park is historical, and has survived through many cultural changes. It's a beautiful gem. I was born in the 70s and have witness what it took to become what it is today. I'm no golf lover, but some of my family and friends enjoy golfing here. I prefer biking through this beautiful forest that is like home to me. I have passed my affection on to my young son who now enjoys biking through here as well.

Course is beautiful! Hard to believe it's so close to hartford. Course plays short but the greens are challenging to make up for it. It is a incredibly unique layout. The newly updated tavern and patio are beautiful and reasonably priced. Can wait to go back!

Very disappointing experience! All 4 of us were displeased with our meals: 3 salads and one mac and cheese. Lettuce was limp and grilled chicken in salad was overcooked. My mac and cheese was tasteless and I actually added salt. There was a $5 charge for rolls and a $1 charge for additional cheese for the Caesar Salad. When we brought our concerns about these charges to the manager, she was not able to rectify these issues because she had no authority to do so. We were given a $25 gift certificate, but we will definitely NOT return to this restaurant.

Played Keney Park twice this year, so far. Great course, excellent tee boxes, fairways and greens. Enough challenge for any player. The GPS golf carts really make it a nice experience. Love the new club house. The city has spend a lot of resources updating this course the last couple of years and done a good job of involving community groups. They have all done a great job!

If you knew what this place used to be, you wouldn't even recognize it now. Whoever came up with the idea to bring this course back to life should be commended. Excellent tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Great old school tight track with challenging greens. Tavern on premises has excellent food backed by excellent service. Definitely a hidden gem for now. I would highly recommend this course and I will definitely be back.

It's holding up its 2nd year under new management. The opening of the restaurant is a huge plus. Lots of rain the last couple of weeks exposed drainage issues, but has kept the grass growing.

Compared to the pre-remodeled course, it's worlds apart. The course is in fantastic condition, particularly the greens. Layout is one of the better in the state, but they are a little limited on the course length. The greens are quite large and the fairways are pretty generous for the most part. One of the best courses in the state for the price.

With Yale as my home course I can still say today's round was truly and enjoyable day of golf. Except for a little bare spot issues and off the beaten path wear, the whole course was visually stunning, challenging layout and very very good golf. Amazed this is a public track. Keep it up Hartford. I wished I lived closer.

One of the worst cricket playing experience I had at this place this weekend... the grass was knee high there is no maintenance done on the two cricket fields they have there. There was so much money spent on this place to make it cricket worthy but no one is keeping up the maintenance. There was old grass left on the ground as well...no one had cleaned the seating area there were leaves and all sorts of rubbish there ... both fields need to be cut 2 inch of the ground... some areas had grass over 8 inchs.

Incredible find on way home from a conference in Hartford. Quiet, bucolic, quintessential New England golf experience. Course in amazing shape. Just a few miles east of Hartford. Bar/restaurant was also a pleasant surprise with good food and excellent service.

Second time my wife and I and I have eaten here. The food is AMAZING (RUN BY DISH Restaurant Group from Hartford)! The GM, Amanda, is truly marvelous, and the inside bar/restaurant is very nice and the patio terraces (huge- 3 of them) are PERFECT for dining al fresco with picturesque views of the 9th and 1st holes. A true gwm.of Hartford/Windsor!!!

This was a surprisingly fun park to play. The area surrounding the park might give some anxiety, but we had no incidents. There was a few spots of dumped trash, tires tv's etc. My group and I had an excellent round, and look forward to returning.

This course is a developing diamond! At first glance it appears to be a rough, overrated fancy designer track. The fairways and side slopes need maturing, but once you get your teeth into it, you quickly realize it's a masterful test of golf. You MUST pay attention throughout, because the slopes, bunkers and hazards are brilliantly placed. It can be visually intimidating, but also surprisingly satisfying. I have NEVER seen or played greens so large, consistent and well conditioned in my life! I was extremely satisfied to play not only one of the best but also one of the proudest rounds of my life on this course!

Great place to hold an event. Food was plentiful and tasty. One of the best macaroni salads I've ever had and that's not an easy side dish to make memorable. The grilled chicken was also above par (pun intended) - juicy meat, crispy skin, good barbecue sauce. Wait staff was attentive. Golf course well manicured. I can't give you a difficulty rating as one of our group shot a 60 - A PGA member's great day, and another group participant won a trophy for a shot that resemble a new players golf lesson. I'm sure the difficulty level can easily be found on their website or the web.

I've never been to the golf course but i always go to the side that has the pond house.. it's ok not very clean, but I enjoy feeding the fish and birds.. The kids can play on the playscape and there's a swimming pool as well. It's gets rowdy at times it's best to go Early morning.. Fishing can be done here.. I caught a catfish once..
