REVIEWS OF Riverdale Golf Courses IN Colorado

Kevin .

Golf course is great and kudos to the maintenance stuff keeping the dunes in immaculate shape. Shame that the pro house is lacking and very unprofessional. Just very unorganized and the cart boys act like hooligans. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth after visiting the pro shop but at least the golf is good

We played the Knolls yesterday and for the most part, I enjoyed my day. The course itself was in great shape. Nice greens, open and well kept fairways, and moderately challenging setup. Carts come with GPS. For the price, this place is definitely solid. However, there were a few negative aspects that caused me no lower my rating. First and foremost, the pace of play was absolutely terrible. One of the slowest front 9s ive probably ever played. They had multiple groups of 5 or more out there- on a SUNDAY!! IMO, that should never happen. And if so, the starter better ensure they are moving efficiently (which was definitely not the case). The food left a lot to be desired. And use of the practice range was an additional fee. Had it not been for the quality of the greens, and the chip in birdie on 18, this might have been less than a 3 star review, but I guess 3 is fair. With all that said, for less than $50 on a Sunday, this place isn't bad. Just need to reinforce the concept of PACE OF PLAY!!

My friend and I just played this course today. This review is not about the course even though it was amazing! The staff was excellent along with the waitress at the restaurant and the food. The two young men at the front desk went up and above expectations and tried to get us 27 holes in and went it didn’t work out after we played 18, they refunded us our 9 holes we couldn’t get in. We for sure will be coming back!

I live right next to this course and play it 3-4 times a week. Knolls is wide open and forgiving (if you are not on your A game). Dunes is more challenging and fun to play. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. I play a lot of 9 hole rounds and they put me wherever it is the fastest. Today they put me on the back 9 of Dunes at 2pm because there was a "gap". I play at 6am most of the time so if you someone flying around the course that is me.

This is a great golf course. Great shape and great people. Played while in the area and wasn't disappointed one bit. Recommend from the beginner to the pros. Fun and enjoyable.

great golf course customer service is one of the worst ive ever seen at any golf course probably ever the chunky guy in the pro shop with blonde hair with a buzz cut was so arrogant and rude the funny thing is i could probably whip up on him in golf. i asked about the weather if it was gonna be fair before i left my house and he acted like i just asked him to go to hell. tried to buy a hat waiting for him he would not help me 15 minutyes later i had to leave to make it to the first tee box. and the drink girl lol she doesnt seem to know the difference between a cold drink and a hot drink we ordered 4 drinks 1 was cold the other was about room temperature and the other 2 were so warm they exploded when we opened them yet she gave us the drinks when we were on the tee box so she knew what she was doing when she put the drinks in our cart when we were on the tee box. it also took 5 hours and 10 minutes to play 18 holes thats unacceptable all it was, was a group 2 groups ahead of us taking forwever yet the marshall said nothing to them

Jay Hinkle

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Grounds crew keep the courses in great shape all year round. The food is pretty good too. The Dunes is easily one of the best courses in the north metro area.

Justin Quinn

A great course not far from Denver. There are two courses at Riverdale, the knolls and the dunes. The knolls is a traditional park style course, but is very challenging with its elevated greens. The dunes is a bit shorter but also challenging as the native grass surrounding the gateways swallows golf balls. The Dunes had been rated as one of the top courses in Colorado.

I always look forward to playing this course with friends. Great layout, great price!

Played the Knolls course today. Crowded and slow, five + hours for 18. To be expected on a mini public course, but we didn't see a Ranger all day. Wide open course, though; 3 of our foursome finished with the same ball we started with. Overall a good day, and I'll be back to play it during the week, hopefully less crowded and a round in four hours or less. Course was in good shape.

Our organization held a golf tournament out at Riverdale a month ago. Jeff, Steve, Mike... the entire management team and food services team were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. The course was incredible - well manicured, beautiful, and we had comments from almost every golfer about how great their day was because of the course. To top it all off, the staff bent over backward to accommodate our group and make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for making our tournament such a success, Riverdale! Would quickly recommend this course to family and friends.

Matthew Wilson

One of my favorite places to play in Colorado, play it every year.

Terrible experience. Over a 5 hour round. Pace of play was soooo slow. I have never complained about a golf course or written a bad review before. I understand that there are going to be some times where a golf course is slow and you have to wait, but they simply do not care at this course. They didn't apologize or offer to make it right when it was brought to the attention of the pro shop. They just shrugged their shoulders and basically said That is just the way it is. We talked to some guys that were in front of us that played there often and they said that the pro shop just tries to cram as many people onto the course as possible. It is really hard to ruin a Pete Dye course but that was the one thing they did a great job of.

Fun Course, Very reasonably priced and always in immaculate condition. The Greens are perfect!

Cindy Milford

Great course but has a cheap feel and players can wear tank tops and jeans.

Eric Perri

The golf course was amazing but we were treated way too poorly to want to go back. The girl working the cart was short with us and didn't seem at all interested in helping us. When we made the turn at 2 hours the Marshall came and said that we need to pick it up as we weren't keeping pace. Also said that we aren't allowed to stop by the club house on the turn. This is just recreational golf not tournament golf.

A 4 hr round is expected .Friendly atmosphere. Great food . Well kept greens

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Two beautiful courses that are perfect for late afternoon rounds. Only $40 bucks and played in 3.5 hours. I saw some complaints on this place from other reviews where Mr Meeker pushed people to play up with their groups. Well, all hail Mr Meeker! U have trained the players at this course on the rules of etiquette as two groups let me and my playing partner through during our round. Made it more enjoyable for all. I played Arrowhead in Littleton earlier in the week at the same late afternoon time. Over 5.5 hours! Can’t do it again! This track with its two courses are now my go to spot when I travel into town on business! Well done, mates!

Incredible course. Great twilight rate.

Trevor Justus

This course is typically in great shape for a public course that gets played a lot. Reasonable rates too.

Small wonder Riverdale is continually rated at or near the top of Denver Metro public golf courses - given the selection between the Dunes and the Knolls, the excellent groundskeeping job the maintenance staff does, and the top-notch pro-shop staff, plus the reasonable greens fee rates, it is tough to name a better value golf course not only in Denver but in the U.S.!

Todd Cynecki

First round since I have moved here from Ohio and I honestly thought this place was great. Hit the twilight on Memorial day with my Godson and we got all 18 in!! Well maintained, great layout, practice facility was very nice as well. We were on the Dunes side and that is what I am reviewing. However I am sure the other track is nice also.

Paul Luellig

Great food and the course is excellently maintained.

I was due to spend the better part of a week in North Westminster dealing with a vendor, and looked around for a course or three to play while I was there. Oddly enough, most of the courses wouldn't book a single! I'd heard about the Dunes side of Riverdale, and called the course the day before I left. Spoke with Jeff and described my plight. He said, "Come on down, we'll get you on." So, the next day (Monday), I got off the plane, headed north, and was playing in no time. By the 2nd hole, I was hooked: this is a TERRIFIC course! If you can't enjoy the Dunes, you simply don't like golf. Enjoyed it so much I didn't bother looking elsewhere. Played it again on Wednesday and Thursday. The staff were courteous and welcoming. None of the "well, you're a single, so we'd rather you weren't here" BS. Actually hoping the company will send me back to North Westminster.

Played the Dunes Course..great condition fun to play and walk..no homes or roads to take away from this setting..will be back!

Matt Heinz

Both 18's are fantastic but The Dunes are an absolutly masterpiece! Designed by Pete Dye, this course is a wonderful challenge for all levels! I've had many a people tell me the Dunes is a hard course and if you are being told this, please forgo any before judging and just play the course. It is not a hard course

Nathanael Martin

Pretty course. Good price. Well maintained. Scored my first eagle here!

Greetings, I volunteered for the Hero Expeditions charity tournament. The Pro Shop awards to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & last place golfers were generous. The course has Russian Olive trees with trunks 10 feet around & large, tall juniper bushes. The staff is friendly & helpful. Good course & good golfing day. Happy trails

Best bloody Mary's ever!

Good golf course, but a little flat. Try the dunes for a more challenging course.

施設は新しくておしゃれで良いです。コースはコンパクトですが面白いです。キャディーは若い子が多い。スターターはイマイチ。3500バーツ(こみこみ)はちょっと高いかな。2500くらいであればまたプレーしたいです。

Awesome

Diane Kingsbeck

The courses are amazing condition! The restaurant has delicious food and strong drinks!

Riverdale Golf Club includes two lovely courses. Unfortunately, the management of the two courses has caused me to never want to play golf on either of them again. In fact, this is my first and only review of any kind on google, so that all may know that they should be wary of Riverdale Golf Club. Like many courses, Riverdale Golf Club has a policy that it will charge your credit card even if you failed to make your tee time. Unlike most courses, Riverdale actually will charge you and will show no grace whatsoever in the event you failed to show up for a tee time. I obviously recognize the need for a policy like this. I also recognize that Riverdale may have missed out on some amount of revenue (although, I find this highly unlikely, considering on how busy the course is, how many walkups show up, and the time of day my tee time was scheduled). But, golf courses should also be willing to forgive mistakes and to have a certain amount of grace, particularly for repeat customers. Jeff over at Riverdale Golf Club did not. He decided to hold the line, which by the letter of the law, he was entitled to do. By doing so, however, he will never again see me or any of my friends playing at Riverdale.

riverdale dunes is pete dye's hidden gem in denver. a fabulous course from the tips which will test any golfer's accuracy, strategy and short game. you'll use every club in the bag, and see a couple of risk-reward short par fours and fives. no trees, but knee-deep rough in the summer which eats golf balls. the bent grass greens are true and straighter than you think, and the water holes will keep you honest all day long! highly recommended...

Bryan Smith

The Dunes is probably the best value in the Denver area...a $40 weekday greens fee for a course like this can't be beat. It's a pretty challenging course with tough (and well-maintained) greens. Off the tee, the course is wide open and you'll be rewarded with a bunch of gap wedges into greens if you can hit your driver straight.

Armando Escorbar

Joe Palombo

Best kept golf course around.

Jason Harris

As of May 21st, the Knolles course was in outstanding shape. Greens very pure and roll true

Presley Shurtleff

A lot of old people

Dennis Bang

It has consistantly been the best golf for me for over 15 years. The Dunes is my home. The cart girls along with Steve, Jeff, the rangers and courses are the best at any price.

Chris Durst

Attempted to make a tee time in an open slot for a single. The staff member at the pro shop did not want to put a single in the foursome time slot in hopes that a foursome would sign up. Instead offered me a tee time 2 hours later. I declined and said i would look at other courses. He became irritated and hung up on me. The frustration isn't so much the policy rather the way I was treated on the call and the reaction of the staff member. I enjoy the course but have been repeatedly let down by the staff to the point where I no longer feel welcome or willing to spend my money at Riverdale.

Rick Duskey

This is a top notch course with the Knolls being park style with a great layout that makes you pic your shots. The Dunes is the real treasure, top public course in CO, both are a great value and a pleasure to play.

Kenny Lauck

Great courses, great rates, staff is friendly
