The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Colorado. This desert-style layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

Awesome course. Spectacular views

Love the course, was not at all happy with the no phone call this morning. When you have a Tee time and you close the course due to water damage. Call your customers and let them know. When you have a large group that come in from out of town a curtisy call would be nice. A huge thank you to Battlement golf course for accommodating us.

Aaron Pinkerton

Best course in CO hands down!

Beautiful course with amazing views. When calling for a tee time, informed them that I was a single and the women on the phone said no problem and that they would accommodate me. Day of the round the guy in the pro shop was very welcoming and professional. I would have played better but spent too much to time staring at the scenery and in awe of the entire place. Couple holes are little bit gimmicky and a couple tee boxes are a bit shabby but who cares, very enjoyable round.

A top notch event....we are so thankful for all Redlands Mesa does for the community, going above and beyond helping our non-profit. They truly cared about the event, watching out for the details and treating all of our guests so well Thank you for helping us exceed our fundraising goals.

Pretty golf course with some challenges. Lots of elevated tee boxes to keep you on your toes but fairways have some room so it's not too bad. Looking forward to playing here again!

This course is so much fun to play and the views are incredible! The GPS carts are so refreshing as I often forget to charge or bring mine. Even if you play white/red go up to the blacks and take a look at the view! If the beautiful course is not enough to sway you the course staff will , as they are so nice. We have played many times and have never had a slow pace of play and we are usually a twosome. The restaurant staff are also so friendly and professional and the food incredible!

This is an awesome place to play. Friendly staff a snack bar young lady. Beautiful scenery, red Rock formations. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Elevation changes make this a fun and challenging course

Nice course, challenging. Sand traps not really send. Very coarse material similar to local terrain materials.

One of my favorite courses I have played. This golf course which is surrounded by the Colorado National Monument is spectacularly maintained and has the most gorgeous backdrop imaginable. Jim Engh did a fantastic job designing this course and I love his trademark snake-like bunkers. Great layout with many signature holes.

I am spoiled by the best of the best where I live, but we came to visit Colorado and drove over for the day to play this fabulous course, well kept, well run, friendly and a 5 star experience all around. AND a bonus was the price, wow. It is rare to find such a top notch course at such an affordable price and I have been fortunate to play around the world. Thanks for the great day!

Redlands mission: We pay our employees nothing so we can provide awesome affordable golf. It is a fun course normally in good shape however after many management changes course seems to be taking a turn for the worse. When I last played two bunkers were water hazards and the greens had so many ball marks that it resembled craters on the moon. Won't be returning, check out battlement mesa in Parachute instead.

Don't let the beautiful view distract you from the horrendously poor service at the Redlands Mesa Golf Couse Clubhouse 2325. I give one star for the view from the clubhouse and nothing else. The new clubhouse management, Terri Boggs, is the most unprofessional "event planner" I have ever the misfortune to come across. I attempted to use the Redlands Clubhouse for my wedding reception and in the end, we cancelled out of sheer terror of how poorly the reception might unfold and we used another venue in town with a real event planner. At the beginning, Terri said they could do anything and we came up an extensive reception menu, which she only wrote down on her phone. Terri and her sister own Warehouse 25 and they kept trying to turn standard menu items into catering, and half the items they couldn't produce at the clubhouse, further limiting our menu options. At the last meeting to finalize our menu, almost all the non-standard items we were previously promised were cut from our menu and all we were going to get was fried bar foods. My impression was that they didn't want to bother with items that take any effort to prepare and they kept steering us towards pre-frozen items like chicken wings. Terri and her sister are also clueless when it comes to vegetarian foods; they wanted to only remove the meat from an item to make it vegetarian, as if a little rice and lettuce equals a satisfying appetizer. We asked basic catering and contract questions, to which Terri took as an affront, as if we should just blindly trust her with no written catering material, no written contract, no previous event photos and nothing but her word. She threatened to cancel on us only 10 days before the wedding when we continued to ask for catering details. She refused to be nailed down on anything in writing, which was evident when she said, "it takes me hours to respond to emails" and it was Terri's opinion that emails are misconstrued more than verbal communication (which any logical business professional would beg to differ). She refused to cut our wedding cake because she didn't trust that she or her staff could appropriately cut it. (What bride wants to cut their own cake or make a guest do it?!) Terri admitted she is not a professional event planner, wedding coordinator or catering manager. Terri repeatedly said to us that she doesn't like to "over promise and under deliver", which she said as if a badge of honor, when in reality it sounded like she encountered our same issues with previous brides and grooms who were also dissatisfied with her service. When we cancelled with Teri via text (because we knew she wouldn't respond to an email) she finally responded to the second text with a smiley face, as if she was happy to not have us as customers. The bottom line: Terri Boggs and Redlands Mesa Golf Course Clubhouse are extremely unprofessional, lack any and all customer service, and exemplified their lack of professional training on how to be an event coordinator.

PLEASE RECONSIDER! Before you make ANY commitments to Clubhouse 2325 for ANY event, please consider your options!!! Grand Junction is a beautiful place, and there are several other venues that are more professional, HONEST, and trustworthy!!! Read the other reviews!!!!! This is no joke people! I will NEVER recommend this restaurant/venue to even my worst enemy!! They are THIEVES!! Our situation was almost identical to the ones below, but unfortunately we didn't take the time to read the reviews, and we followed through. We were taken advantage of so badly that it almost ruined our memories of the beautiful bride and groom! The staff & manager CAN NOT be trusted! They even take the liberty of filling in there own tip, and if you have children want to charge you for a babysitter!! I could go on and on, but really they are not worth my time. The only reason I am writing this review, is so other's do not get taken advantage as badly as we did! PLEASE RECONSIDER!!!

Restaurant lady was snobby, got asked to leave a nearly empty patio at 2pm because it was ‘reserved.’ Typical wanna-be city bs. I could have had a sandwich and been gone in 30 minutes. If you’re from Denver or another good restaurant place, skip this joint.

Best experience at a quality golf course. The folks that work here are extremely friendly. The course is manicured to perfection. The golf carts are equipped with State of the art GPS and scoring capabilities. I will for sure visit this beautiful and affordable golf course. Love, Love, Love this place - must play experience and a repeat must for me. Please treat yourself to a great round of golf and come to the Redlands

This review is for the clubhouse at Redlands Mesa. If you have any ideas about holding an event at this beautiful location, please beware the new management. Terri Boggs is literally the most unprofessional person I have ever had the misfortune to work with. Customer service is non-existent, and she is unable to answer even basic questions or return simple emails. Example: Terri refused to put anything on record or written into a contract. Terri would only conduct business via text message because, and I quote, "...it takes me hours to answer an email, and emails are more easily misinterpreted as opposed to verbal communication.". Terri Boggs is known for her ability to over-promise and under-deliver. (Her own words, spoken to us several times, almost like a badge of honor) Over the course of three weeks, Terri backed out of every verbal agreement she made with me regarding the catering of my wedding reception; even refusing to cut the wedding cake because she didn't know how. At the end we had the opportunity to work with another, different and far more professional, local event planner who had a menu, a venue, and a contract for us within an hour. When Terri Boggs tells you she has had problems with multiple brides and grooms in the past, who asked too many questions, who wanted to know about catering and costs: LISTEN to her!!! She freely admitted she is not a "professional event coordinator, catering manager, or wedding planner.". When we asked these same questions, she threatened to cancel on us with less than 10 days notice. If you dont care about professionalism, experience, customer service, or quality of product then this is venue for you! Buyer beware!

We played because it was rated in the top 100 for golf courses. This is definitely not a top 100 golf course. To be top 100 you need to maintain the golf course. My main complaint is the condition of the sand traps. In many sand traps there was little to no sand in them and the sand traps were more just dirt traps with a couple being hard pan dirt - so it was impossible to get underneath the ball. My take is that is you are not going to maintain the sand trap you should not have them and do grass bunkers instead. Also the design of the greens were way to tricked up with severe slope. If you end up above the hole with a back pin and barely get the ball on the green, it ran out 100 feet.

Overpriced, poor quality food and merchandise. Too many water hazards and poorly maintained golf course. There are 2 sand traps filled with NASTY stagnant water covered with mosquitos. The rest look terrible with yellow grass and a concrete like mix in some of them. Not to mention the 2 huge patches of sand with no grass on 2 different holes that are a big eye sore. Their landscaping was terrible with some odors of dead animals and feces near all greens with rocks. Countless divits through the entire course. On top of it all they are cocky, entitled, rude people who are delusional. All they really have are the views. (Which are better at the Tiara Rado & Adobe creek national golf courses.)Will never return to this low class trash!!!

Fast greens. 11-12 I’d say.

While visiting my daughter we decided to take a little bit of time for ourselves. We chose this course from the internet. As a scratch golfer I found the course to be challenging especially from the back tee's. The course was in great shape, but the greens needed a little TLC due to the lack of respect from golfers not taking the time to fix there divots. The greens were fast and true. The course does not offer a yardage book, would be my only complaint. My wife and I both found the views to be spectacular from any place we stood on the course. If you looking for a course to play, put this at the top of the list.

“We really don’t want people coming because of the views and unique geology. They would just disrupt the golf flow”. This was what I was told today by the golf pro when I stopped by the pro shop to inquire if anyone had really written and highlighted the geological stories that the cliffs surrounding the course have to tell. I wouldn't even bother to write this review if the balance of the Golf Club facilities were not worth particular note, but now let's highlight the overall experience. I'm an avid hiker, and live close enough to this course to enjoy hiking the steep hills and terrain around the golf course, but I've yet to ruin my enjoyable local walks by trying to play this intimidating and potentially humiliating course. I will admit that it could be quite rewarding for very low handicap golfers, who could then brag that they made it with less than two sleeves of golf balls. And, you don''t have to play golf to enjoy the wonderful ambiance, and spectacular views of the Clubhouse The clubhouse view is the most spectacular restaurant view on the western side of the Rockies, is really friendly, and combines peace, calm and an amazing view of the timeline of Planet Earth. It goes back to 2 1/2 billion years ago, when the only life forms were primitive bacteria. Visiting the Colorado National Monument in person is a must do, but you won't be able to see the whole history like you can from the Clubhouse at Redlands Mesa.

Papa D

The course is tough and walking from greens to your cart will wear you out by the end of the day.

Jeremy Byble

This was only my second round here and it won't be my last. Challenging but not overwhelming. The views are wonderful and the course is in good shape. The greens were recently aerated and sanded which always is a drawback at any course but we still had a great time.

Tamara Jo Searcy

Very nice golf course. We played here about 3 yrs ago and liked the course then. Friendly staff! I was disappointed in the Lobster Roll, filling was good, but it wasn't a hoagie roll, just a piece of bread. My husband had the fish and chips and liked it very much.

The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa has really changed, and if you haven’t been there in awhile, it will really surprise you. Men’s and Lady’s club are really affordable and the restaurant has become a great place to go and have lunch or dinner. Had a work lunch this week for eight and they did a fantastic job!

Redlands Mesa is my second favorite course that I've played so far. Only beat by Wolf Creek in Mesquite. The layout is extremely fun with many interesting holes. The elevation changes, doglegs, water and sand make this course spectacular. My favorite holes include #'s 2, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17. Play from the tips to see the beauty of this course. This is not a course I'd want to walk. I can't wait to visit here again. I wish it was closer to home.

Fun tough course

A great area for a course. The houses are starting to encroach on the front nine a little too much. While the course is fun and very scenic, some of the holes are a bit gimmicky. The green on #13 is almost a joke. While dramatic, #14 can't be taken seriously. #17 is just plain fun, but close to the line in terms of competent design. The course was in great shape, and lots of water coolers available. Not for the beginner or sometimes golfer. Very good price point also.

Redlands Mesa is classic Jim Engh designed track. The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa appears to be a lush dark green carpet flowing through rugged red rock formations with a backdrop of the beautiful Colorado National Monument. Who could ask for anything more for super photo ops? Grand Junction has a high desert climate and therefore a longer and dryer season than the courses up in Summit and Eagle Counties. The summer afternoons are typically hot and dry. Grand Junction offers some great Stay and Play options for Redlands Mesa and a couple of other Grand Junction area courses. Your golf experience at Redlands Mesa will long be remembered for the incredible views from each tee box. The first few holes have the rugged backdrop of Colorado National Monument (which is definitely worth a side trip for a winding road drive comparable to the Grand Canyon in beauty and history). If you're really brave and strong do this on a bike. Back to the golf ...... Hole #3 is an almost blind par 3 with a huge green divided by a ridge in the middle. Get on the correct side of the ridge and you're rewarded. On the wrong side you'll get the usual Jim Engh punishment. Hole #5 is a dog-leg right par 5 with the Jim Engh signature clown's tongue green. When I played it with my brother we both narrowly missed the elevated green to the right on our third shots. When we got to the green we found my ball 2" from the hole for a tap in birdie and my brother's ball was in the hole for an eagle 3! Another classic hole is the #17 par 3. It's a long downhill shot from a very elevated tee to a narrow green in a rugged rock cove. When I played this hole a bobcat chased a rabbit across the green as we were about to hit our tee shots. Redlands Mesa ranks very high on the fun and beauty scales. It's a great course to play at least twice due to some pretty tricky layouts. (The 14th hole has a dogleg right of more than 90 degrees if you bust a big drive down the middle between two large rock mounds. Shorter hitters have a partially blind shot over the right rock mound). Bring your camera and your shot making imagination when you come to play Redlands Mesa.

Played a round while passing through at the end of our trip, and it was one of the highlights of our time in Colorado. No one else out on the front 9, and the course was in great shape (though the greens were a little dry and quick). Though we had to cut the round a few holes short as the clubhouse insisted we be back by 8:00 pm, the round was well worth it. The holes are interesting, and though some may be slightly gimmicky (especially some of the multi-tiered greens), it was an enjoyable round of golf for me and my son.
