We have all the reviews of people who are using the services of Pine Creek Golf Club (Golf) near to the state of Colorado.
Right now the business has a score of 4.0 stars out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 145 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the score is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

OMG this course was a bit tough for me, tons of hills and lots of walking!
Never in my life have I been so disrespected by a "professional". Booked a tee time last minute saying I would have 2-4 people. I was told I'll put you down for 4 and you will just pay when you show up. I will get back to this in a minute. We showed up, paid for 2 people, and started our round. Pace of play was so bottled necked without out a Marshall that there was a 5-some, yes a 5-some, a 3-some, and our 2-some on the same holes all morning. We left after 12 holes (one of which was a makeshift temporary hole that is worse than chipping in the back yard). I wasn't too bummed as it was a holiday weekend. Then I get a notification from my to bank of a double charge, so i called the shop to have the second $150 charge reversed. Turns out I was charged twice for the reservation because two people didn't show. I called to obviously dispute as I was told I would only be charged in the morning for who showed up to play. This is when it all got ridiculous. The head pro explained and defended the automatic charge policy unprofessionally and then told me I'd have to talk to his boss. So I got Tony, Tony then proceeded to tell me if it were him, he'd call be upset with the people who didn't show, and that they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I originally booked the night before about 15 hours before my reservation, so that wouldn't have mattered. After arguing back and forth for 5 minutes, Tony said "I have a hard time believing anyone I trained would have said that about our policy, let me call them and see what's going on." So I was then put on hold.. um ok? 5-10 minutes later they couldn't find the kid who took the reservation but I was told they would call me back. At this point I asked why he was disputing this so much. I paid for people and just wanted the charge reversed as it was not explained to me this was the case or else I wouldn't have give my card info over the phone. He said I just have a hard time believing this and I don't appreciate you lying to me about that conversation. So I asked for Tony's name and his boss. His actual response: "You can look it up online. I'm the only one here with my name so it shouldn't be hard to find my name. And my boss is escalante golf." I asked "Escalante golf is your boss?" "Yep. Escalante golf." So then I asked for an actual name so I could explain how disrespectful he had been and that all I cared about was getting $150 back. Tony started rattling off the corporate phone number and said he had lots of bosses and didn't think I would call them so good luck with an out of state corporate number then laughed and hung up. I definitely have called them. And I will absolutely never golf here again. If you have a "strict policy" that costs people $300 to play 12 holes of golf because there isnt a Marshall, then explain it to your customers before they go out on the course. Or work with them towards a resolution. What an amateur of a professional.
Nice course with beautiful views
I don't think that the price is right for this course. However, it is one of the 'nicer' courses in the area. It's challenging when it's in good shape, but I wouldn't say it's worth the money. The practice area is decent - chipping green, putting green, sub-par range with mats, but nothing spectacular.
This is a well maintained course. It's fun to play and challenging. (Not a lot of flat here). I would give it 4-5. Keep reading. It plays well, but I have some reservations about it that I hope you read before you go. If these were fixed it would absolutely be 5 stars. It's that good. 1. If you have less than four players you will most likely get paired up with someone (ok every time - even in the winter - even if it's not busy you will have a new friend(s) to play golf with). This is the absolute most irritating thing about pine creek when trying to have a nice quiet , non competitive round with your spouse. They PACK people in here. Be ready for that. 2. The bar is silly expensive. It cost me $28 for two under measured mixed drinks today. That's crazy. STOP IT. Your ripping people off for no reason. Ok maybe it's bar tender specific, but the kid today making drinks should be back in the range ball gathering cart. Bring your own or a lot of money. That's all I can say. 3. Marshalls,, Jesus how many Marshalls do you need? I feel like the police are after me most of the time for no reason. Dont mess up here. They will see you. 4. Winter golf. It's cart path only no mater the temperature outside. Come on. This is colorado. The grass is dead on top only. If it's not frosty let people drive on it. Some of the other nicer courses in town have zero issue in the winter with carts driving on the fairway. The course is wide enough in some spots you will walk 100 yards just to get over to your ball (should you play golf like the guy in front of me today taking his sweet time). Seriously the cart path only during the winter is silly. (Note here that they do also require cart path when it been raining during the summer and that's legit - when it's wet its wet here). I'll be walking it next time in the winter vs a cart path only cart. Overall it's a good course. Bring your own liquor, keep pace, enjoy your new friends you get paired with (almost every time), watch out for police, bring your inhaler for walking up and down the hills from your cart path only cart.
Whooooo baby this is a tough course, also pretty slow pace of play on a busy Sunday. Minus one star for that. Great overall value though.
So yesterday May 4th I had booked 2 tee time to get some friends together before one of the friends has neck surgery, it will be his ONLY round for the year. We had 6 golfers show up and the golf shop said no problem, BIG PROBLEM Pine Creek charged my Credit card an extra $150.00 for the 2 no shows. I will dispute the charge and will NEVER golf there again THIS IS TOTAL B.S!!
Wonderful facility.
Pine Creek requires some precise shot placement and a decent amount of course knowledge to shoot well. It can play rather long if you want it to which I like. The views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding valley are spectacular. This course does tend to let the conditions suffer at times so it's hit or miss whether the course is worth paying full price to pay. There can also be a decent amount if slow play and golfers that don't know about play-through etiquette. The clear skimping on investing money into the course is why a star gets left out. Otherwise the layout is fun and the practice facilities are decent.
Great staff!
Great course that is in very good shape. Fun to play.
Nice golf course. Grill is pretty good. Prices are not too much more for burger fries combo than fast food. Their meat is real meat. Hot dogs are awesome. Staff is really nice. One of the hardest golf courses in town.
Good 18 hole golf course with some challenging shots. Greens are faster than they appear but depends on pin location. Not too many trees in the way if you stay in the fareways.
Greens are in excellent condition!
The pros were so friendly and helpful! Beautiful views from the course, too
Great course.
FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!! Deserves no stars! Charged me for a cart even though I told them I was walking. The attendant then said he could not refund the cart fee because he already ran my credit card through. I could only get a voucher for the fee for future use. Talked to the manager and was told they are not set up to give refunds. So they are set up to charge extra but not fix their mistakes. Don’t do business with people like this!!!
Used to be great, now not so much
It was a very good course. Not much else too say...
Great overall course. Good bang for the buck.
Played in late July. Course was in great shape. The rough was very long cut, although I did play on Sunday, and typically the grass is all cut on a Friday in preparation for the weekend. The course is very challenging and unforgiving. It has a rating of 72.6 which should tell you something. There were very few holes that had a continuous fairway path from tee to green. Other places had the fairway pinch to 20yds wide right where you'd land your tee shot. Greens were fast and well kept. Whenever they say "player's course" or "technical" high handicappers (such as me) should watch out. I have more fun, and tend to score much better, on a course that is more open and more forgiving. This course is not one of those types.
Great for practicing golf, putting green is the perfect difficulty level.
I don’t usually write reviews but the “manager” Xander really made me feel the need to. I usually book through Golf Now and take advantage of the Hot Deals but today I decided to call the course to see if they’d rather me pay them directly because they always complain about how they don’t get any of that money from golf now. Xander has repeatedly been rude and unhelpful because of using golf now. He will not let you go off early if you book a hot deal even if it’s close to your tee time. Today when his employee let me pay them directly to play instead of using golf now and it started raining during my round I asked for a rain check and he would not give it to me and was very rude about it... He would not give me his managers name or number just told me to look online and he’s in Texas! If I do play here again it will only be through a hot deal so they don’t get my money!! Thanks, Xander!!
Was really challenging and was absolutely beautiful but maintenance will be all around from start to finish if you have an early start.
Our foursome was made up of regular golfers - playing 1 to 2 times per week. Never have we experienced a round of golf like we did at Pine Creek. The cart seats were all ripped up - every single one that was available. The ladies’ tee boxes were in horrible condition. There is construction on a handful of holes. Water was pooling in many of the sand traps. Sprinklers were completely blocking the path to get from the tee box to our fairway shots - on the cart path and on the fairway. It took 5+ hours to play 18 holes! Several marshals were driving through the course, and despite telling slow groups they were holding others up, nothing was done to move those groups along. We were held up almost 10 minutes on some holes before being able to tee off. Our group finally got to a point where the ladies did not play on the last three holes, and hole 17 was skipped by the entire foursome so we could move past a group that was holding others up. When we went to speak to the Pro Shop about the issue and ask if anything could be done (since we had spent $320 total for the round), we were offered free range balls... We should have been offered a partial refund or a free round of at least 9. We don’t plan on playing at Pine Creek again.
Great course
Good challenge and in nice shape.
One of my favorite courses in town. Challenging, yet a beautiful course. I would not recommend this course to a beginner.
Most beautiful course with stunning views. Will definitely be back again and again.
Nice course in nice shape! There were lots of challenges and the green fees were very affordable! Priced like a muni and built like a semi private, I enjoyed it alot! Only downside were the mats on the range and the course was a little soggy but that's not unusual for spring in Colorado!
Challenging yet fair course. Every hole presents a different set of obstacles. You must execute and think in order to score well.
Depending on the time of year, summer: greens are fast (people need to fix their divots more) fairways are clean and true with the undulation, ruff is exactly that; you will want to stay out of their ;). Winter: not a whole lot of attention gets paid but still a great track. Greens are unpredictable (lots of sand, slow and not true) but can still make par if get her close on the second shot (the ball still grips decently if you strike it clean). Fairways turn into link style golf, the ruff is cut down and opens up the source of play, nut cart path only can be grueling. All and all; I love this course and will play it many more times. The pro shop is warm and welcoming to all who wish to play (pretentious or not), very friendly and willing to help! 19th hole is just as nice. I am a 7 handicap
I've been in Colorado Springs for 2 months now and this is the 6th course I've played. I will say that it's the 2nd best one. Staff was friendly. Starter was extra nice. Affordable prices and for what I paid I should actually be ashamed to give it only 4 stars. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was the 2nd best course I played. Great course in a great neighborhood.
Booked over the phone. Nice guys in the club house. They found a time for my friends and I in between some scrambles times. Course was more challenging than I was expecting. The first cut of rough was so thick it folded over. Several blind approaches and the score card map was rubbish. We went there mid - morning and the grass was still very wet. In fact, three of the holes on the back 9 (where we started) they turned on the sprinklers while we were hitting on, or putting. Don't know if the were automate or not, but it was pretty frustrating. Decent fees, but I'd try to go with someone who is familiar with the course if you're looking to try this course out for the first time.
Great management, great course
Terrible management of the course and terrible customer service when trying to deal with the management of the course.
This is a good course that isn't as tough as the reputation suggests. Still there are some fun challenges. It may be hard to get through a round without a lost ball or two. It seems to have less traffic than the course deserves. The staff is very friendly. I recommend a round here if it perks your interest.
Nice fairway. Too fast green. Really enjoyed.
Really poorly run course, management is extremely rude. Sent a bunch of guest from out of town and they received substandard customer service. I would send your guests to Patty Jewett instead. This place makes the Springs look bad.
Driving range grass and condition not great. Course is always in good shape and challenging. You can lose a lot of balls on quite a few holes if you're not straight off the tee.
Fun course with interesting shots and a great view of the mountains. Rough was thick and most greens were in good condition. The pro shop staff was friendly and helpful for our first time golfing the course.
Interesting take. I only had a chance to use the chipping and putting green. Rolling *fast*. Definitely an 11.5-12. Would love to come back and play. 4/5 due to the putting green. Wasn’t the best practice facility. For how fast those greens are rolling I would have loved to see a larger area with more options to practice. Got a bit rained out. Someone there wasn’t so friendly to me. So that didn’t help with my experience. Guys in the pro shop seemed nice.
Good course, good condition. Friendly staff
Pine Creek is a nice golf course. The staff is really friendly. My only complaint is the rates. There are other courses I can play in the area for less, like Antler Creek or Patty Jewett. I just wish their walking rates were less. They take great care of this course and the views are really stunning.
Great parkland golf course with some mountain course aspects and great views of Pikes Peak and the front range
Nice track. Definitely a test
The only comment is on hole 8 the geese have destroyed the tee box. They need to find a way to keep the geese away.
Nice course.
Course was in great shape and offered great views of the mountains in the background.
The course is run by armatures. Unprofessional and don’t return phone calls. The only course in town that will not support the local community. Maybe the owners need to look at different management. It is sad becusae it is a nice course in a great community. Please don’t support this “public” course.
Bad management. Does not have care for customer concerns and is incredibly unprofessional in resolving them.
Good course, long play times on the weekend
Fun Course. I played a night golf tournament here that was an absolute blast! Not many times do you go golfing and don't have fun.
Challenging and Fun Golf Course. Not too pricey and always in great shape. Highly recommended
The service at the pro shop and at the 19th Hole was impeccable!! Even the maintenance guys were awesome and helpful! The course is above exceptional shape!! Pricing was fantastic and beyond fair for such a beautiful course with amazing views! THANK YOU for an such awesome day!!!!!
Challenging course. Take a few extra balls. It was a little flooded when we were there. Broken sprinkler line or maybe a few somewhere.
Well maintained course, every throughout the winter.
Staff could care less. They wanted to charge me 18-hole rate to play 9 holes. "Nothing I can do about it." staff quoted.
Looks like a great place to golf .
Great course even this time of year.
Good golf course, terrible management. Hopefully you can enjoy the golf course cuz the service and management is just bad.
All the food is homemade with lots of care and fresh ingredients. Incredibly delicious and flavorful. Staff is friendly and beers are as cold as your ex’s heart. Totally recommend.
Just echoing what Ms. Raugh said in her review - what a sh!t show. Over 5 hours to play a round, marshals doing nothing to speed up slow groups, construction on several holes that's been ongoing for years now. It's $30 more per foursome to play Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock - far nicer course, kept in excellent condition, carts aren't all beat up, and the marshals keep things moving at the proper pace. Pine Creek is a complete ripoff - we won't be back.
Awesome course. Great condition and they have a great putting/chipping green right next to the starter so you can get warm while waiting. Bring lots of balls because it is a pretty tough course with lots of hazards.
Beautiful view from driving range.
Course was in good shape for this time of year. Only negative was the grill snack bar I guess is in transition with new staff and they were not up to speed yet.
Great course. Kept in great shape. Nice staff.
Course is very well kept. The course can challenge you if you don't keep it in play, but very fun track. Only downside to the course is the pace of play in the afternoon during summer and they do not have a true membership. In place of a membership they have a playing pass that does not let you play on weekends until the afternoon.
Course in great shape for early April
Great course. Best challenging public course in co spgs
What a awesome course! If you want a great course with views of the mountains at a fair price, come here. I loved the slope and how well it was maintained. Me and my three buddies came here from Nebraska and all agreed that it tops any if the courses we play. The staff was awesome and friendly! I will definitely be back here and will recommend this course to anyone that comes to The Springs! There's definitely some birdies out there:)
Great place to play, everyone was very friendly and the course was in perfect shape, just bring a couple extra balls.
Played there for the first time with a friend from Arizona. Love the course, definitely not for beginners, and bring extra balls you will need them.
Played this course on a Thursday, web page says restaurant is open for breakfast but doesn't say only on the weekend. Course was very busy but no beverage cart service was available. I believe tee times are too close together, by the time we got to the back nine had to wait for every shot.
The course looks good but they have the worst sand traps I have ever played out of. The municipal courses in the area have green and fairways just as nice and they axtuallarake their traps. For the money it cost you figure the greens keepers would pay more attention. Oh and if an employee is mowing let them go, they don't stop for you.
Good course with good prices. There is some construction going on at the 15th hole I think, but it's pretty easy to play through.
Rachel is the best course beer purveyor ever!
Great course, but yardage markers are lacking...
Pretty good course. They had some construction going on from what looked like a bridge wash out. Most of the fairways seemed pretty narrow to me, but I am not an experienced golfer by any means.
Very slow this Saturday 4 hours hole 12
Pros - Challenging course, great laytout and views. pleasant staff. Cons - Although it was earlier in the season the course was in poor shape. Considering the amount of precipatation we recived in the area, the course was dry. It appeared they hadn't watered much at all. To be fair, it only cost $40 w/ a cart, but it was cart path only with was a real drag. Had they indicated that on their website, I would have played somewhere else. I have played several other courses in the area and they were in much better shape even for early season. I played on Sat (3/26) and there was no beverage cart and what really was upsetting, there was no drinking wanter anywhere on the course and it was in the high 70's! Thanks God I didn't walk, which I normally do. Anyone who plays in CO, knows you need to hydrate regularly. No reason they couldn't of had water on the course or told us when we check in.
Be aware that if you have a group, and not all show up,they will charge the person who set up the Tee time for the no shows!!! And,that was never disclosed until after the fact.
Beautiful course, it was in great shape.
Great time
The course is good, but a little under-kept. The staff as well can good, but a maintenance guy actually yelled at me once while I was playing. I'm sure he was having a bad day, but it ruined my game.
I live nearby and play Pine Creek frequently. I always find the course in excellent shape and the staff is always friendly. Course has some really beautiful holes, but a few of the fairways are a little tight with houses (seen a lot worse). Highly recommend.
Decent golf course with some level of difficulty. A bit pricy IMO. Lots of work being done on the 10th hole. Lots of distractions.
Played 2 rounds here while visiting
Great shape this year, keep it up. Also love they are carrying Travis Matthews
A nice challenging course with reasonable rates. It's usually in pretty good condition. After tuning up my game at Patty Jewett, I'll make my way over here for a better challenge. It's more hilly than most of the other public courses in town and it seems a little more exposed to the wind, but I've never had a bad day on this course.
Friendly pro-shop staff, amazing driving range and practice greens, well maintained course.
Beautiful course
Beautiful place, good atmosphere.
This is a beautiful place with Gorgeous views and well-maintained Golf Course. Best course in town to improve your game.
