REVIEWS OF Murphy Creek Golf Course IN Colorado

One of my favorite golf experiences in Colorado. Great course, staff, clubhouse!

Jackie Snow

This was worth the trip to boulder. Beautiful.

Leslie Clark

Atmosphere was casual, dinning room was nice and clean but the best part was the food! WOW! Everything we ate was delicious! The pulled pork was juicy and flavofull, and the prime rib was so delicious and cooked perfectly! We will definitely be going back!

Course in great shape. Positive experience.

Jeff McCarthy

The course was in great shape, very reasonable price, and not slammed with people. Had a fast round, never had to wait and wasn't pressured from people behind. The course has a lot of opportunity for trouble with bunkers liberally sprinkled in fairways. Part of why I enjoyed it so much was having my best nine ever, so take this with a grain of salt.

George Gomez

Excellent breakfast and lunch have not been disappointing yet... Nice views...

Lot of fun. Deep bunkers. Fighter jets add bonus.

Chris Barker

This is one of my favorite, resonably priced courses. It is so well maintained every time I go.

This is my favorite track in the metro area. Links golf and challenging holes at every turn. Clubhouse is good, practice area is the best I've found (all grass range, putting green, big chipping facility with bunkers, and even pitching greens for long wedge shots), and the view of the mountain range from each hole is really awesome.

David Dette

Kyle Wood

Great course, very challenging. The breakfast burrito is legit.

Practice facility is one of the best in Denver-metro areas.

Sophia Song

I like this place.

Christopher DeLano

I can't say enough good things about this course. It was in fantastic condition and the layout was challenging but not ridiculously hard. It is a great course for all skill levels. I will most definitely play here again, I think it will become an annual trip. We played both Murphy Creek and Saddle Rock and both are tremendous. If I could only play one, I think it would be Murphy Creek. I think this is and Saddle Rock are the best golf courses I have ever played for under $100.

An excellent golf course, well maintained and fun to play. Great practice facilities! Several greens on which you can pitch and chip, plus good putting green and huge driving range. My only complaint is also one of my pet peeves about golf courses in general: They have 5 sets of tees so, theoretically, you can choose the yardages you want to play. BUT, they often then move the tee markers up to a closer tee box. Why do they do that? It takes away the players' choices. It also disrupts the handicap system (different rating and slope!). No golf course should do that. And what makes me angriest is that the only reason they do that that I can see is to speed up play to the benefit of golf course income! For example, the 18th hole from the gold tee box is 413 yards. They moved the markers up to the red tee box--only 352 yards!!! That's ridiculous. The 8th hole is a par 3 172-yarder from the gold tees. They moved the markers up to the red tee box and made it a 129-yarder. And yet, the proper tee boxes for the gold tees WERE OPEN (you guessed it--that's where they put the White tee markers!!! Folks, this is not golf. They need to wake up. I complained afterwards and the young man said he'd pass the information on. In the meantime, I have sour thoughts about what would otherwise be a great golf course.

This is an Aurora public golf course on the higher end of their spectrum. One website lists it as top 50 in the state. You'll find interesting holes, challenging terrain, far greens, and a good practice facility. It is walkable if you're in decent shape. The bar and grill are good as well. It can be a bit of a drive if you don't live in Aurora, but it's worth it. The $10 off M-Th after 11a deal was nice.

Only sanctioned PGA golf course in Aurora - the Windmill is 50+ years old.

Nathanael Martin

I really liked this course, even with the challenging greens that forced me to three putt a couple times. Nice winding layout through developments. The course was in excellent condition from the greens, fairways, rough and even bunkers. Good challenges and was certainly not boring. I'd go back soon.

Played this course for the first time yesterday afternoon. The course was still in great shape for this late in the season - ground was still somewhat soft and everything was greener than I expected. The gentleman at the clubhouse were very friendly and helpful. For my skill level, this course was perfect. It provided some good challenges, but fairways were open enough. I think hole #5 is one of my new favorite holes in the area.

Richard Weil

Excellent course - tough, but fun.

A lot of people seem to love it

Good place to golf. Club house was amazing. On the course the tea boxes were hard and looked old and in need of some love. Other than that every thing was good!!

Jared Starkey

Good fun course out in the middle of almost no where! Had a blast!

Phillip Ashenfelter

Interesting course

Craig Allen Keefner

Nice track, nice facility

Service was horrendous. What made it worse was that it was coming from the manager named Natalie H. The course should be embarrassed to have her represent them. Only one of the servers was friendly. The manager needs to learn from that girl.

Good for relaxing

Tracy Lombardi

Coarse was nice, nothing to special. I couple things I didn't like. 1- Didnt call out names, so you had to set around the 1st box and wait , this is minor but would of been nice 2nd- They had to arrigate the greens as always. Been nice to get a discount for this it was not a $70 dollar coarse with cart. . 3rd. Not enough bathrooms on back side.4th carts are extra slow.

Rob Martinez

A little out of the way but really fun course. Nice club house and friendly staff.

Leslie Core-Drevecky and the Murphy Creek staff are truly phenomenal people. I scheduled an event at another venue, and last minute there were access issues with the venue. Leslie bent over backwards to accommodate me and my guests at the golf course, she went above and beyond to help me solve an issue that she had no investment in, the Murphy Creek Golf Course staff is in great hands with her leadership, and we as patrons are in good hands as well. Thank you a million times over Leslie!

Played here ever since they opened, tough track if you’re hitting it bad. Native grass around bunkers and fescue areas are vicious. Beastly from the tips if wind is blowing.

Supurb practice facilities and a very challenging links style 18 hole course. This is a municipal course so prices are reasonable but it is always crowded. You can make a tee time on line.

Friendly and helpful staff, great food in the tavern, and the closest thing to links golf in the Denver metro area. Challenging course, long but not gimmicky, and doesn't severely punish errant shots.

I have only played the back nine here, but I have nothing but good things to say. The layout demands well placed tee shots and depending on the tee boxes you play from - offers plenty of length and good diversity of terrain so it is a great test of golf. The course condition has always been good and they have a very good practice facility. I have enjoyed every round here and will eventually get around to playing the front nine too.

dona mcbryde

Great service --good food!!

Ross Williams

Great course definitely challenging, but I feel like the pace of play is set slightly fast and can be difficult to keep up with for people who are not bogey golfers

Today's Holmes Omega Scholarship Golf Tournament at Murphy Creek Golf Course was a Tremendous event! The course was too notch. The staff at Murphy Creek was amazing. And the cause was absolutely Noble and well worth the broad base of support it garnered. Absolutely Thumbs Up to the organizers! See You Next Year

Extremely challenging course, sand everywhere requires distance control and the ability to move the ball.

This is a MUST play if in the Denver area! I played as a single on the twilight rate. I went out around 445 pm on a beautiful weekday. I was cheerfully greeted by a gentleman by the name of “Will”; Who later identified himself to me as the assistant pro. Every golf course needs a staff member like Will! Always there with a smile and a kind word. A great conversationalist and a definite asset to that golf course. My round was a bit slow considering there were several singles walking the course. But it was a beautiful day and I enjoyed every bit of that golf course. There’s not many trees out there so wind is a factor. The day that I played greens were easily running at 11 on the stimp meter. The clubhouse and restaurant facility is five star. Everyone of the staff in the restaurant was super friendly and accommodating and always there when needed. Emma was my bartender and she made killer drinks with a big smile. This is a definite must play! The training area is incredible as well
