Loved the golf course thought there were plenty of challenging holes good shots and lots of Scenic views the clubhouse was very nice and a great place to have a drink after a round of golf the only thing I thought was lacking was the quality of some of the greens were a little sketchy so puting was not awesome most of the fairways were very nice and the tea boxes were okay I would recommend this place for anybody who is staying in Copper Mountain

Copper Creek is a surprisingly fun and interesting course. I've heard & read mixed reviews. I'd say if you're a low handicap player or a beginner, this may not be the course for you. The rating and slope numbers and yardage really don't give a great impression of the course. If you like fun, stimulating golf, this is worth a visit. The staff is friendly. Their website description is worth reading in advance if you've never played the course. One thing to note, there is no driving range. You do get to warm up hitting balls into a net off of a mat. It's weird to swing a full swing with someone in view in front of you just a few yards away...on the other side of a net. The course plays narrow with definite forced carries and plenty of lateral rough to avoid. Balls will tend to bounce right. Somewhat blind shots will challenge you. #2, 9, 14, & 18 are severely downhill to the point #9 & 18 have signs telling you to wait to tee off until the green is clear even with 264 & 415 yardages. Fwiw, #1 & 9 are less than driver tee shots if you hit average or above. Due to altitude, the grass on the greens can be challenged, so don't expect perfect rolls. The course is walkable for people who hike at altitude, but most will prefer a cart. The restaurant closes at 6p on weekdays. The 9863' tee box on #14 is supposed to be the highest tee box in North America. Cool.

A really fun golf course in Summit county. Don't be fooled by the shorter distance, the course is plenty challenging and offers great mountain views. The course was in very good condition when we played in early July. I have only played Copper Creek once, and I look forward to returning again.

The management at this facility should be ashamed of themselves, let me tell you why. First off, the ski bumbs that run this place are too incompetent to reserve a tee time correctly, which pushed us to the right 60 minutes. Then they allowed the guy behind us to check in for his tee time just 2 minutes before he was supposed to tee off? He was also wearing a Kansas City T-shirt with holes in it. But it's okay, this facility doesn't care about golf etiquette because they also allow people to play in Spandex and Hoodie's. Play was drastically slow because a father was letting his children tee it up so they could hit the ball 4 feet. No Ranger. Also, no driving range. Instead, they have nets to hit into because apparently they don't have enough land on their thousands of acres they own. Best part - they pair us up with beginners that hack up chunks of grass with each stroke. Skipping holes 5 & 6 was the best part of this round... at least we could jump ahead of traffic and get away from the tourist. Hole 8 was awesome... unsupervised children were running across the fairway, picking up our golf balls and throwing them in the creek. No Ranger or parents could be found anywhere. The course was actually in good condition - fairways & greens. BUT - this facility is not a golf course. It's a day care ran by 20 year old ski bumbs that need to secure a summer job. A touristic haven where parents can let their children run rampant through the fairways. So, if you want to pay premium green fees for a round of putt putt... this is your place. But hey - the food was good while we were waiting for our imaginary Tee Time. I will return when the management gets a complete overhaul.

Loved the challenge, upkeep and scenery, though it's pricey.

Loved this mountain course. Challenging, and every hole has beautiful views.

Troy Potter

Fun course, but chaotic right now due to an immense amount of construction being done. We only played the front nine and there wasn't a single flat tee box to be found - they all had either significant crowning or a prevailing slope to them.

We usually go to copper because it's fun to say we ski and golf on the same mountain. We usually overlook what shape the golf course is in, which is not usually good but this time the customer service was beyond poor. It is one thing to not be able to do any refunds it is another thing to argue with the customer that we were not running 40 minutes behind. Time doesn't lie. Lost a customer for good.

The course itself was well maintained and had gorgeous views. We golfed in rainy weather and I still enjoyed it. However, as visitors to the area, it was difficult to figure out where the pro shop was, where to drop our clubs off and where to park. We ended up driving in by where we saw golf carts and asked a worker what to do. He seemed irritated that we didn't know. After the round, there was nobody around to tell us where to return the carts. My husband walked over to the parking lot to get our vehicle while I tried to find an employee. None to be found. He pulled in by the bag drop only to be scolded by an employee who finally turned up and informed him no vehicles were allowed there. There were no signs anywhere and usually bag drop means drive up and drop your clubs off here.

5 stars for professionalism. Excellent course. Great times. Way better than mini golf. Real pros here.

Steven

Due to construction, it was difficult to locate the pro shop and there was no one at the bag drop to assist you. After that, it was difficult to figure out where to park. It soon became apparent that this golf course is an afterthought to generate revenue in the summer months for a ski resort. We chose this course solely for teeing off on the "highest tee box in North America". If your handicap is 10 or less, I would suggest bypassing this course. This is not a course a low handicapper can appreciate.
