Beautiful course. Challenging. Really great condition except the greens. Pretty high quality rental clubs. Has robots that will bring you snacks out to wherever you are on the course!
Played early fall 2018. Course is beautifully designed and could be an excellent part of a golf vacation. However, it was dry and neglected. The whole course was in poor condition. The range is just silly. It is short, no tees, and you feel like you are in the parking lot.
Green was too slow today...
It's absolutely breathtaking, clean, vibrant and relaxing
great food and great golf course
Beautiful course.
Played twilight, 50 bucks, 4 hour round, great layout, restaurant and proshop closes at 5 PM so bit of a ghost town after that. .definetly 2 thumbs up
Eagles Vines, rated 4-1/2 stars and its neighbour, Chardonnay Golf Club share much in common. They sit side by side on similar, relatively open and nicely undulating terrain, with vineyards all around. Wine connoisseur or not, golf among the grapes, especially at the excellently maintained Eagle Vines, is a real pleasure.
If you want to enjoy a great golf course at a reasonable price, try Eagle Vines. Great food and killer views of wine country!
Nice parky and great surroundings
Golf course recovering nicely from the heavy winter rains. Ongoing work to fix sand traps. Greens recovering from being punched. Should be nice in another week.
Had a 10:39 am tee time. When we got to the first tee right at 10:39 there were 16 golfers waiting to tee off counting our foursome. We asked the group ahead of us what their tee time was and they said 10:36--three minutes apart on a course this difficult?! So we tee off and wait on every hole, but fall behind on the 7th, then the Marshall gets on our case, and continues to argue with us for being behind, even though we assure him we will catch up as we try to explain to him the overbooking. His obvious buddies are the group behind and they are complaining to him, he states, that they won't get done before dark. How about booking an earlier tee time! We catch up on the 10th and wait every hole the rest of the way. Oh yeah, to save time we call in our lunch order as their sign suggests but when we get there the snack house girl not only does not know anything about the order but neither does she have any change for a five or ten dollar bill. Two stars for the arguments and unfriendliness of the on-course management. The course itself was in good condition and the greens as well.
Peaceful
WONDERFUL WEDDING
It's a good pretty course in good shape. Best for long hitters
Gorgeous. View
Fun place to play a round. They also were testing out some delivery robots that were fun to try out. The course has some long par 4.
I've played there several times, always goo. The course is always in great shape, restaurant and bar
New chef new menu good atmosphere
All around good facility
Best collection of quality golf holes in this area. Staff is very personable and knowledgeable
Slow af. Good course though, great layout and payable after a bit of rain.
Amazing! Laird Family golf tournament had a blast ! Great food great wine great golf !
This course is one of the most challenging courses in Northern California The staff is extremely friendly and helpful from the Pro Shop staff to the restaurant servers and also food is amazing. I simply love this course!
Overpriced for conditions go next door to Chardoney
Very nice golf course and view
Great course in excellent condition. Well stocked pro shop and good restaurant. Locker facilities available. Well maintained and clean!
Hands down one of the most beautiful courses I've playing in these parts. So far
One of my favorites! Stay away please so rounds are shorter. Thanks
A very picturesque layout was ruined by the course being in TERRIBLE shape. The bunkers have no sand just bare dirt, the cart paths have large clumps of grass growing through the numerous cracks in them. The greens were in very bad shape, nearly impossible to putt on or get a decent roll due to the bare spots.
My second time Very nice Staff are very helpful Would play again
Great course
Nice course
Golf day began with friendly efficient pro shop. Course was in good shape, greens were fast and fair. Round took about 4.5 hours. Sand traps were a bit untended. But then, why did you hit it there. Overall an excellent cost to quality experience.
I would normally give a 5-star rating but had an atypical experience yesterday which I hope is not a trend. Scheduled an 8:42 tee time and when we arrived, found out that there was a tournament in front of us and the group immediate in front of us was a 5-some. Needless to say, it was a long, frustrating day and the round was just north or 5.5 hours and never saw a Marshall all day. Ive been playing Eagle Vines for a few years and a lot over the past month and a half and this was unusual. As I said, hope it’s not a trend. 5.5 hours plus is unacceptable. Given a 45 min commute to get there, there are way too many nice courses in my area to take the drive for that kind of experience. As I said, very atypical and hope an anomaly.
Course in great condition.
Yes
I wish I could give this a zero. The GM is a slime bag. Does not or is incapable of communicating. The course is OK but I would strongly recommend playing elsewhere. Try Silverado instead. They understand what customer service is all about.
Decent food. Great views
Great Miller design. Needs a little TLC.
Love Eagle Vines. Staff is the best and ensure a great day on the course.
First time playing at Eagle Vines — Beautiful course, challenging enough and course was in good shape.. 715 tee time and got done within 4 hours. One of my favorite rounds in a long time.
Poque es muy agradable y sepasa eltiempo bolando
An afternoon well spent. Beautiful golf course. The icing on top is the restaurant food. My friend who is from the south was raving about the pulled pork sandwich. I ordered a California club and that was great as well. Would love to go back to this place at least for food.
I played this course a couple of years ago. Challenging and well maintained. Had a nice lunch after the round.
Beautiful scenery... Lunch, club sandwich was delicious and plentiful.
Great course! Great staff!
Pretty damn good golf course, it was cold and wet when I played and still had fun, I'm coming back and playing it when it's warmer. There are grounds keeper's all over place keeping the course in great condition. I'm from Southern California, I would recommend this course to anyone that's looking to play out here.
Large group golf outing was handled very well
Excellent course...well kept, challenging and fun.
Great facility for both golf and fund raiser.
Great experience! Beautiful. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful!
Great day of Fun, Sun and fundraising #Mollysangels #NapaValley #Golf #goodfriends #993thevine #goodmorningbob #winedownmedia #mercedesbenzfairfeild #Ambassador #enjoytheride #celebrateeverything ❤
A/C very cold in dining room. We were only ones there from 9:30 - 10:30 but got poor service anyway! No offer of water, my only request was toast-- came cold and butter came delayed. Friend's omelette was overcooked (dry). Oh, and we were over charged by $12 for a third entree instead of two. Glad caught that! The view of golf course is expansive and lovely on a clear sunny day. It was foggy bleak. I'm told better to go for lunch-- better menu and likely morning fog burns off. But bring a wrap for the a/c! Can't guess if better service. I'm not interested enough to return.
Interesting layout. Challenging course.
Awesome facility, love this place
Grat golf course and they make you feel like a welcome long time member the first time you walk in the door.
Excellent course very pretty and in great shape!
Restaurant Great food, need to work on service attendants
Eagle Vines Golf Club is a gorgeous public golf course nestled in the Napa foothills. Enjoy a challenging day of golf and play 18 holes amongst beautiful scenery and vineyards. The Eagle Grill is a great place to start or end your day with breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner. They also have a full bar (try their exclusive Eagle Vines Wine!) and an outside patio overlooking the 18th fairway. Great getaway for the day to relax and enjoy peaceful surroundings as you golf in nature.
Had Mother's Day brunch here. It's was a great selection, awesome price and a beautiful venue.
Beautiful course with play amid a vineyard! The first few holes are me alive, but we still had a lot of fun. The drinks were good and so was the food. I'll definitely go back.
Loved it, great greens, good Resturant/bar... Had a great time.
If you're on vacation with your wife, don't play Eagle Vines. There are NO BATHROOMS on the course, only OUTHOUSES.
Great golf course tough.
Eagle Vines is a fun Napa Valley, California public golf course. Actually, it’s in the city of American Canyon, right next to Napa. The folks that work there are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is quite good. Try the tuna melt. It was tops. The pro-shop is well stocked and the assistants are helpful as well. The course is fun, fair and sometimes challenging. The back nine is, in my mind, much prettier and has more undulating greens for putting challenges. The back nine is further from the highway noise so it’s more peaceful too. The water features and vineyard views are beyond compare. Well worth the price.
Was looking a little rough. Heat got to the course. Fall and spring should whip it back into shape
I like this golf course they keep it up fairies are nice greens are nice beautiful view of the valley
79 today, nothing not to love about this course
Went here for a round with my brother-in-law from southern California. He said it was his favorite place we've been to in the last 10 years (outside of Harding in SF). There are literally grapevines in every available space, between fairways, etc... Course was in great shape. Play was fast (we we're in a foursome and didn't ever have to wait for the group in front. Also no time pressure from the group following, and it was a day with a full card. Interesting course, lots of water features, some hills, great views. Beautiful fall colors too.
Beautiful course, beautiful staff especially at the restaurant, very nice people, yes it's busy and sometimes slow but because the golf course is so popular and with reasonable price of course people want to experience the beauty of the course. I love the manager Mike Stirling he is always nice to us and very professional and accommodating. You have to experience the beauty of Eagle Vines Golf Course.
Great views friendly staff
Recently I had a chance to play this course with my buddy on an early weekday morning. Yes the greens on the front 9 had some issues but to be honest it didn't really bother me. The layout itself was outstanding, and actually IMO much better than its neighbor the Chardonnay club. Magnificent signature par 3 with the island green was actually not so difficult. Overall we had a fun time playing here in less than 3 hours. We'll be back.
I recently played Eagle Vines with two buddies who had never played the course. Upon our arrival to the pro shop, John and his staff greeted us almost like old friends. They went out their way to make sure our day would be great one, regardless of what we might shoot on the course. In fact, from the 1st tee starter to the lady at the snack bar, I've never experienced a more friendly group at a public course, or private club. The course provided all that I'd promised my friends, including a beautiful setting, some challenging carries, manicured tee boxes and fairways, and exceptional greens. The one feature that we thought could use a little attention were some of the bunkers (yes, I know ... stay out of them!) which seemed to have compacted sand under a rather thin layer of groomed sand. However, bottom line is that it was a perfect day of golf, even though our scores didn't necessarily reflect it. We'll be back.
A hidden gem! Food was great as well!
So beautiful i had the pleasure of making a dessert table for a wedding and it was breathy taking.
Napa's finest golf course!!!
Wonderful view. Excellent service.
Eagle Vines Golf Club is a spectacular golf course made better by an incredible staff that works hard to make every visitor's experience memorable! Was there yesterday, will go again in three weeks, and will continue returning often. The course was in great condition, and the food at The Grill was restaurant quality. I highly recommend Eagle Vines!
Chardonnay is a pretty good course
Love eagle vines....play it whenever you have a chance....give it about a 9...
It is December 11th and the course is looking good with playability beyond Winter expectations.
Ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was very good!
Beautiful course, but poorly managed for this instance. I was a single that never got paired with anyone so the pace was very slow. When I arrived at the tee box the starter said the group I was suppose to go with is on the green. Driving range is irons only. Just disappointed for how much I was looking forward to playing here. I hope you have a better experience. I will give this another try though.
The whole atmosphete is amazing! Great restaurant with friendly and professional staff, a trendy golf store, and a well manicured golf course composes this beautiful complex. Worth a visit!
Great track
Really enjoy playing this curse. Must play to appreciate the fine golf course.
Great patio. Way better value than the course right next door.
Excellent club great food nice course
Great service and beautiful scenery.
This simply is one of the best courses all around. Staff, food, golf. Reasonably priced. Side note check out la strada. Nearby if course rest closed. Lol, even the owner thanked me for earlier reviews. Never met him. I travel from SF when I can to play here.
Good
Very nice course. Challenging yet enjoyable.
Great course and great prices In the off season.
Nice course
Had the most exceptional experience playing golf at Eagle Vines with my Dad on our trip through Napa. Wonderful course, great crew and the views are incredible. Special thanks to the Pro Staff as we were on the tee as scheduled and played at a perfect pace. Will certainly play EVGC once again as we journey back home.
Attended a wedding here. Great venue, wonderful staff, beautiful view.
Really enjoyed this course. Nice layout, challenging, and beautiful. The staff were all really cheerful and helpful. Will definitely return!
Nice course for viewing countryside. Virtually "zero" sand in green side bunkers. Hard pack mud. This means either course is in financial trouble or they don't care. Plan on a 5 hour round. I would not recommend this course to friends.
First rate service at the pro shop. Fairways are good and the greens are coming back nicely from punching.
Nice golf course. Its well planned out and provides some very nice views of the surrounding area.
Great golf, 3 years now
Gorgeous views, great food, good service.
We played here two days in a row on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, we teed off at 745am and the round took 5 hours and 15 minutes. The slowest round of golf I have ever played. The marshals did nothing to speed up play, in fact they were nowhere to be seen. On Sunday, we made the mistake of coming back. We played for 4 hours and only got to hole 13. We were headed for a 5 hour and 30 minutes round, so we drove off the course. After we went to the pre-shop and mentioned this experience to the management. Their response was "that's how it always is on the weekends". So basically, if you come on the weekend, you should expect to be on the course for 5 and a half hours. The course is marginal, not good enough to wait for every shot. Greens are marginal also.
Great course with beautiful scenery
professionalism/ tiffany samara
Excellent view and lunch
Very nice!
We came here for a holiday buffet luncheon. Unfortunately, it was terrible. We had come here the year before for Thanksgiving and were very happy. This time, however, it was the opposite experience. They had two carving stations, one for turkey and one for ham. I couldn't believe it but the ham was over roasted. It was dry and tough. I consider that a real soon because when you do ham all you're doing is rewarming it. It's already fully cooked so there's no reason for it to be dry and tough. The turkey was also tough. I don't believe it was brined before it was roasted. The desserts were horrible. You can find better desserts in most Deli sections of almost any supermarket. Most of the sides we're not that good either. So the whole thing was a bust.
Great place for golf.
