To this day this business has a score of 4.6 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 358 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is practically the best, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their review when they are pleased with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf club.
Played the Cholla course on August 9th. Was literally heaven on earth. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were absolutely PRISTINE. I was blown away. Stephanie visited us several times with the beverage cart and took great care of us. She was energetic and fun. Can't overstate the positive experience. Course layout was fantastic. Not a hole that wasn't interesting and unique.
Always just top notch golf. Always in great shape and great tracks! To not play Wekopa, you are missing special courses. Must play! AND the food in their restaurant is outstanding.
Beautiful course and great club house food
Nice views and staff! Highly recommend!
Played Saguaro today .The course was in great shape. The greens rolled nice. The views were spectacular. It felt as if you were in the middle of nowhere. The staff was also very friendly .We stayed for lunch on the patio. The lunch menu was good, & the service friendly & sttentice. An enjoyable day!
Great golfing experience! Staff was GREAT & course was in super shape! Great time!
Fun course with great views.
course just reopened after summer maintenance...greens were still very bumpy----114 degrees out and every water station was empty or nearly empty
Very clean coarse. Great staff.
We heard a lot about this place. We planned a day of 36 after playing other courses in the area. The overall conditions and pace of play were disappointing. Specifically the fairways were really long. Similar to first cut at the other courses. We ended up quiting after 16 holes and 4.5 hours. The group in front of us fell two holes behind and a staff member hadn't been seen in hours. Not worth the price... Drive the other direction to Wickenburg and get awesome conditions, a cool par 3 course experience decent scenery and pay less than half the cost.
Probably my favorite golf course I have ever played. The scenery cannot be beat. The fairways were firm and the greens ran fast and true. I cannot wait to come back to play the other 18. We played Cholla.
Saguaro Course was breathtaking. There wasn't a spot of dead grass, the greens were PGA tour consistent, and the staff was 5 stars. It isn't cheap during peak season but well worth it!
Top 10 golf course in the valley easily.
One of my all-time favorite golf courses. I played the Cholla Course and loved every minute of it. Large saguaro cacti are everywhere and you won't find a single house or building on the course. It's true Arizona desert golf at it's finest. The holes are fun and require a good amount of course management to play well. From the minute you pull up you'll be happy with your decision to play here!
When We-Ko-Pa Golf Club's Cholla course opened in 2001, it did so to excellent reviews. Golfers were thrilled by the excellent layout, absence of invasive real estate and spectacular mountain views that framed every hole. All these characteristics still apply today.
Great course! I hurt my back and couldn’t finish the round so I guess I’ll have to come back
Great golf! Super food and beverage.
Beautiful golf course!
Course is decent, pro shop staff are very ignorant and rude. Won't be back as this is the second experience with poor customer service
Great place to golf.....friendly staff and beautiful groomed courses. Would definatley golf here again.
Fantastic Golf Course! Views are just fabolous pricey in the winter, Great course under summer rates
Two of the most beautiful courses ever. Always in good condition. Views are second to none. Without question we would give the courses an easy 5 out of 5 but the customer service is some of the poorest we have ever encountered. A couple rude, unfriendly and fowl mouth bag guys. A pro shop staff that makes you feel like you are imposing when checking in. Ashame for such beautiful courses. They need to send their pro shop staff and bag boys down to Grayhawk or Troon North for training in good customer service. Then they might come close to the experiences at those two clubs.
To anyone actually reading these comments- I recently played summer golf here in AZ. 72 holes in 2 days and he is my ranking and why I ranked below courses. 1) We-Ko-Pa: an incredible true desert course with the absolute BEST views, tee boxes, fairways, and greens in the summer. This was a fall back course for our group and it was outstanding. Great customer service too. 2) Troon North- Monument Course: also an AWESOME course and if we didn’t play WeKoPa this would have been number one. Best customer service by far and a great course. Fairways were decent but a lot of dead spots. Still an incredible course especially for the summer. 3) TPC Scottsdale- Stadium Course: terrible customer service. Fairways were Pretty bad. Greens were terrible for being punched a month ago. I expect much much more from here and wasn’t met with anything I expected. Pretty much had to put our clubs on our own cart and find the practice area ourselfs. No water provided and nearest station was on 3/4 holes. Totally disappointed here and expected much more. Open course and easy to hit low if you play right. 4) Boulders: eh not much to say here. Target golf. Pretty old crowd that plays slow. We paid less that $70 and I WOULD NOT (ever) recxomend paying more than that. Ever. Ever. Ever. Decent course and I’m sure it’s ok in season but I was disappointed. Thanks for reading! Brad
Really love both of these public courses. Can be pricey but very well maintained. A true desert course that is essentially wide open to the natural beauty of the Sonoran desert.
Great place for golf experience, Tom crowley very friendly and helpful...
Wasn't the biggest fan of the staff at this place but the courses are amazing, the views are amazing, greens are fast and smooth, and I loved the way the range was set up. It's a little bit of a drive but well worth it. Can't wait to play here again.
Really enjoyed this course (Saguaro) - great views, good pace of play and course was in good condition. Would definitely play again if I come back to the Scottsdale area.
The course was in great shape and the staff was helpful and the air conditioning was cranked inside. Can't ask for much more.
Amazing golf (played horribly as its target), challenging holes, great conditions, friendly staff, reasonable prices on food and beverages. You have to play it when in Scottsdale.
This place is a must go to fabulous conditions great staff always
Beautiful views, ammenities, and people, top notch
I love desert golf and this has it all great place to play golf in the area. If on a trip buy the we ko pa pass and save about $50 a round.
One of my favorite courses in Arizona. Two beautiful layouts that incorporate the desert without being too punitive. The vistas are stunning. It's obvious the tribal owners have water rights, a green and lush oasis. A great Casino next door too. Only a short drive from Scottsdale.
Only got to play the Saguaro Course and enjoyed it a lot. Stunning layout that makes you think of shaping shots with the landscape. Beautiful. Only gripe is the greens were hairy and tough to get the ball going. Lots of holes that made me want to get out the camera and take pictures. Practice areas were beautiful as well. Love that the range curves around too. Other than the greens the course was beautifully manicured. Talked to some other people on our trip and they all like the Cholla course more. I'd like to see what they meant next time!
Great food. Great views!
I've played both courses several times and the resort courses have been my favorites in the valley, however, the Saguaro course's bunkers are in poor condition. The "sand" is more like crunchy dirt. It seems to me if you're going to charge over $200 per round the course, including the bunkers, should be in perfect condition. I played a low end course a couple days later, Superstition Springs, and the bunkers were much, much better! Come on, man!
Beautiful course! Challenging, beautiful views, facilities, and wildlife on the course!
Course conditions were great. Scenery was spectacular and service was great
One of our favorite outdoor lunch spots in Fountain Hills. Great ambiance. A nice place to kick back and enjoy a delicious lunch. The portions aren't light, so come hungry. And their fish tacos are excellent but their sweet potato fries are even better. Menu is varied and consistently well prepared with very generous portions. Service can be a little inconsistent and slow. Just don't go if you have a plane to catch. But overall it's a great desert experience and great value.
We played the Cholla course. One of my favorite golf courses in Arizona. Remote location has amazing views of the desert and four peaks mountains. Challenging yet rewarding course. Will definitely come back!
I played both courses at We-Ko-Pa about two weeks ago. It was my first time to the area and I had heard great things about the courses. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The greens were slow and the fairway grass was really long. In general, I got the impression of corners being cut which is disappointing considering the rates we paid. The pace of play was also horrendous during our second round. Our day at We-Ko-pa was the most expensive, had the worst conditions, and we had the least fun of any the places we played on our trip. I recommend TPC stadium and wickenburg. TPC stadium conditions were incredible, easily some of the best I've ever played. Wickenburg was also in A+++ shape.
Great test of golf ....true desert views and experience
Meh, been there, done that, won’t be back. I usually enjoy playing the nicer courses around Phoenix but when I’m paying a higher price, I do expect some things. A higher level of service being one and I certainly did not receive that at We-Ko-Pa. when I pay almost $200 a round I expect the employees to at least “act” like they are happy that I chose their course, but here I felt that I was expected to act grateful to be playing there. From the club drop, pro shop and those along the course. The only friendly guy was the starter and he recently started. Besides that the course was in good condition with a nice layout, but there are many courses that fit this description in the area, that are much more reasonably priced. I won’t be back.
Great layout. Course pristine
Course is beautiful but difficult for Senior citizens.
This place is the worst. Middle of no where out of the way from everything. Food is absolutely awful. Casino is a dump. Service is terrible considering I waited at there restraunt for 40+ minutes with only a drink. A friend of mine told me to come to this resort and all I can say is I will not be returning. Next time I'm in Pheonix I will be choosing a different resort which is very unfortunate becsuee I had high hopes for Wa-Ko-Pa. If you looking for a better hotel go to Talking Stick Resort instead.
Great place to golf not for beginners.Great views.
Beautiful golf course but a little spendy
awesome place!!!
Great course to play, but Shea Blvd is under construction and took awhile to get there.
Find me a better overall golf experience, and I'll kiss your.... nevermind... but REALLY, from checkin, pro shop, practice facility, cart, tee to green and the restaurant for beers... WOW! ROCK STAR QUALITY! Name me a better overall experience! You can't! ENJOY! And remember, Bo Knows!
This is one of the best public course I have been on. The place is unbelievable. They do an awesome job keeping it in the shape that it is with temperature over 100 F all the time. We played and it was 102F all day long. Good restaurant on prem with really cold beer on tap and a nice menu for lunch. It is a little pricey if you are out of town and need to rent clubs, it will run you around $200 with clubs, but I think it's worth it. Rental clubs looked like they were brand new.
Disappointing. At arrival the staff were like zombies, like we didn't exists. It was very odd. When I asked where the first was tee was one of the cart guys at first didnt answer so I asked again and he said over there and pointed with no eye contact. My dad was shocked. First and last time we play We-Ko-Pa. Sad, because we were so excited to play this course. Course condition didnt meet all the high reviews. Staff is in need of training
Great staff and rooms. Pools and hot tubs were beautiful as well as kid AND adult friendly, although they had trouble keeping up with towel demands on Saturday. Very relaxing stay. Convenient drive to city offerings.
Definitely a bucket list course. Beautiful conditions from tee to green. We played the Cholla course which is classic dessert target golf at it's finest so you better bring your a game. Every green is heavy protected and once you get there they can be tricky to read. Will come again and play the Suguaro.
We Ko Pa Golf - nature and Golf at one with one another Just loved this course from the testing tees, beautifully cut fairways to the wild life on the golf course. We saw roadrunners, Koyote and many different birds. The course was testing with greens that run true and fast. The many water holes help to keep you Cool in the hot Arizona sunshine. Great food in the club house at a good price too, all our food was really tasty and would eat there again.
Always great food, drinks, service and Desert views! A special place!
Really good golf course with all the usual amenities and great, very friendly staff to help you with everything from unloading your golf club bags to anything else you need & everything in between them reloading your golf club bags back into your car when it's time to leave or calling you a taxi if that's what you need.
A very beautiful gold course. In the evening, there was little wildlife running around and it was nice to see. The gold course is very nicely maintained
Beautiful course with nice views. Fairways and greens were in great shape. I would play again
Played on 2/13/19. At least 6 of the forward (green) tee measurements were substantially shorter than shown on the scorecard. We estimated that the course was not 5061 yards as listed but closer to 4500. we waited on several of the par fours as well as the par threes.
Could not be better.
Fun and hard golf course
Cholla course was great.
Great course
Very nice facilities. Course in pretty good shape due to summer. Spotty grass on the fairways but greens were good.
Nice Resort, Good Golf Courses, Excellent conditions.!
Great course - but bring water to hydrate. Very hot this time of year.
Best tracks in Arizona. Well maintained, great staff!
One of the best courses I’ve ever played. Well worth the money. Nice facility and many very scenic views on the saguaro course. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic experience in December, 2018. Conditions were good, and the views were phenomenal. We played both courses and couldn't decide which one we liked better. Of the four places we played on our trip, only this one made the list of courses we'd return to on our next trip.
Great track, reasonable price for a round. More scenic and better value than TPC. Clubhouse food was great.
What an excellent round of golf. Despite the cold, the experience was pretty special. The amazing views, pristine fairways, and firm and fast greens, you couldn't ask for more. Will definitely play this course again.
Terrific facilities with 2 excellent courses. True desert courses, miss the fairways and you're liable to loose your ball. Courses in v good condition. Good practice facilities. Pace of play was also reasonable, 3 hours 45 mins for a 4 ball.
Beautiful courses and surroundings. Customer service is excellent!!
First off what a beautiful view! One of the most well kept greens I've played on! The service was great. Food at the clubhouse was delicious and not too expensive. The Cholla course took about 4 1/2 hours to play though. I highly recommend this course!
Lovely course, friendly staff convenient location good drinks reasonable prices
Best fairways and greens in the state. I love the summer price. We saw a rattlesnake on the cart path between the 8th and 9th hole.
Absolutely perfect, everything!
Great course. Great staff. In a word great.
Two of the nicest courses in AZ - with Saguaro being one of my favorites, particularly for walkers. Bear in mind that during the summer on weekends, with one course closed - they tend to book tee times on 1st and 10th tee, so it does create a delay at the turn, but rounds are still on pace and around 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Absolutely beautiful, challenging and fun golf course. For sure one of AZ's BEST!!
Excellent course. No homes, open views. Some long carrys. Fairways are a little burnt currently.
Great course. Little pricey
IMO the original course (cholla) is the best in Arizona for public play. I love all the elevation changes and the views that you have from many of the holes on the golf course.
a group of 4 of us from Vancouver BC and Seattle played here the weekend of the open and had a great time. we played both courses and found conditions, staff and facility to be top notch. green were quick and tough to hold for mid/high handicappers (which we are) but we still had lots of fun. we bought a 4 round package including a few other courses so it's difficult to say how much our 2 rounds were but i suspect they were the most expensive. we played southern dunes the next day and we enjoyed that course equally so in terms of value, there may be better choices.
Played the Saguaro track today...Every hole was framed well from tee to green...This is a challenging golf course even from the white (6200 yards)...the facilities were in impeccable shape...the only thing that prevents me from giving this course a five was the rock hard greenside bunkers...$11 greygoose screw drivers were a bit pricey...overall a very good course.
Still easily in my top 5 in AZ!
Breathtaking golf course... In amazing condition!
One of the best courses in the valley. Always in great condition.
Decent track
Awesome. Great views. Course in excellent condition
It costs $175.00 to play, you would think a bottle of water would be included. Just reseeded, cart path only Slow play today.
Two courses and they are both nicely maintained. The views are fantastic and the course is challenging, makes for a great combination.
This place is amazing. Great views on both courses. The Cholla course is more target golf, but Saguaro while more open is very hilly so you need to on point or the slope will take your ball to the desert.
Went to We-Ko-Pa golf course during the July 4th weekend. The staff was a bit stuffy. Never really gave us much assistance. They seemed to be having a rough day. We arrived about 1:00 pm. The club house just wanted us to pay and go. We played on the Saguaro course. There was no martial, no starter. A maintenance man came over and said to play when your ready. The course was okay and the views were okay, at best. Troon North is much better. Both Monument and Pinnacle put We-Ko-Pa to shame! The Raptor course at Greyhawk was much more challenging, much more serene, the staff was much more accommodating. We-Ko-Pa would have to become much more customer orientated before I go back. My best wishes. Hope you turn it around.
Don’t make a tee time after 2pm on the weekend. Joke of groups on course. No ranger on course other then at the 1st hole. Was only able to get in 13 of 18 holes. I’m used to rangers being on courses to speed up play. We had cart only golf because of sprinkling in the morning, which didn’t help. No food or drinks on the turn. Scenery is great but not a great course for the money. So many other places to play. Btw you will not be able to find an Uber on the way home. We had to call a private car service. Save your money and pick another course.
One of the best course's I have ever played.
BEST PUBLIC COURSE IN ALL OF ARIZONA
Both courses are meticulously maintained. Among the best condition you will find. Good practice ranges. Good pro shop with large selection.
One of my favorites. Love playing here. Make a trip here yearly from Florida.
Really a special course. Not inexpensive, but worth it. Views are amazing, course was in great condition. Truly memorable, would highly recommend for someone seeking a classic desert golf experience.
Played the Saguaro course a few months back and still have fond memories. Conditioning was top notch as was service. Played early morning and it was gorgeous to look out of the desert. Love Coore/Crenshaw designs with no rough and interesting bunkering. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area.
Great tracks, played both courses. Beautiful views everywhere. Pace of play was very slow on afternoon round and not a course ranger in sight. Staff said they expect 4:30 pace of play.
Excellent!!! Every part was tremendous! The course, the service, the views, and the food. Great time for a great day off.
Best maintained course I've played!
What a great course, the cart gal was super and made up old fools luagh.
Nice course. Worth the loot.
This course never disappoints. From the tee box thru the green, everything is manicured to perfection. The range and practice area are as good as it gets. If you are looking for the "total golfing experience," this is it.
It was a great course in great shape. It was a fair course with wide fairways and very soft greens. Will def play here again if I'm in the area. The staff was excellent in the pro shop, at the bag drop and in the restaurant.
Great golf! Saguaro Course was beautiful.
Beautiful golf course in great condition. The only drawback is the cost of green fees. We played 36 holes and We-Ko-Pa doesn't offer a lower rate for play backs as do many other fine courses. One and done, we didn't feel that it was worth twice as much as other courses, we won't be back anytime soon.
Played Cholla course. Beautiful, desert course in middle of Indian reservation, no homes. Timely beverage cart service. Friendly staff. I can see myself playing here again and again.
Best golfing views I've ever experienced in the desert. Beautifully designed and well maintained courses. My favorite is Saguaros, Cholla is nice, but not like it's sister course.
played both desert courses with friends from Canada. Excellent conditions, walked Saguaro with a push cart, taking it all in, including Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote crossing.
Great golf club outside of Scottsdale, but a little hike to get out there. Incredible views on both courses and everything was in great shape despite it being 110 degrees outside. Was also impressed by the food at the clubhouse. Would have given five stars if the staff was just a little bit more friendly.
One of my favorite places to play golf in the state. The original course is fantastic.
Great staff, excellent layout, GPS on the golf cart, giving distance to green. I will be buying one of those ping drivers for sure that I used from rental bag!
The Cholla course is a must play in the Phoenix valley. It is in championship shape and you won't find better greens anywhere.
Cholla and Saguaro are a MUST play when in Phoenix! Both courses are unreal and in mint condition!!
Course is in great shape. The cart crew is polite and helpful. They could spread out the tee times another 1-2 minutes apart. Slow round with tees stacked.
Awesome Golf! Target golf! I'm happy shot 83, for first timer.
Best course I've played around the Phoenix area.
Excellent course conditions, tee, fairway and greens, played Saguaro. Practice range was on par aswell. Pro Shop and starter was good and professional. Breakfast was also nice at the clubhouse.
Great views and awesome day.
Played Saguaro...place was is great shape. Back 9 tougher than the front. Greens rolled well. Take note of ypur distances off the tee driver is always the best option. Played 2x in 2 days. Staff was veey friendly and practice facilty is great Another bucket list course checked off in AZ.
We attended a convention here and had the misfortune of being in town during a water main break. This kind of thing is totally out of the resorts control but they stepped up to the plate by providing endless bottled water and brought in portable restroom facilities to help keep their guests as comfortable as possible. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they didn't bill us for that nights stay. The water was back on early that evening and other then not getting my morning shower all was good. Great job making the best of a tough situation.
Professional operation......great staff and course
Stunning views and a well manicured golf course. Awesome!
I would highly recommend this golf course, actually both of them if you are coming to play golf in Scottsdale. I played Camelback, and TPC, and We ko Pa was for sure the best in my opinion. The views, the greens, the fairways, all of it was better. We were coming for a golf weekend, and I am so glad we played here. The casino is not anything to right home about but we did not go there for the casino nor staying at the resort. The drive was about 20 min from Scottsdale bit well worth it. We got 36 holes in in one day. Both courses are great if you were wondering.
Loved it. Wonderful conditions. The rangers were a little aggressive. Played it twice. Great blend of beauty and the beast.
Great views, player your distance, & go low! Course was in excellent shape. They treated our large group great! Awsome views on the Cholla course.
I've played these courses several times, and have always had a good experience here. No homes on the golf course, which is nice, and some breathtaking views. We-Ko-Pa hosted #TheOven16, and the staff hit a home run with everything. Just an amazing property. Always in good shape, too, with outstanding staff. We-Ko-Pa is a home run and worth the drive. FORE!
Great desert golf experience! Not cheap but worth it.
I would stay here again. Myself and 10 month old daughter had a wonderful weekend away to rest and relax. Staff was super. Food was better than good - I would go there just for he food it was so good.
Wow now this is a golf course...my only regret was not playing both 18s! Course is mint and views are some of the best of any course in AZ
Great golf course in excellent condition
We had a lot of fun. The course is in excellent condition. Thanks for the experience.
Great condition, very nice people
Average experience. Slow Pace of play. Rangers didn't care or help. Sagura sand traps all dirt.. no sand. Greens poor shape. Cholla much more interesting and in better condition, but very slow.
Place is in fantastic shape for middle of June. Greens roll true but a little slow. Can't wait to tee it up here again
Awesome! That's all I need say...
My favorite golf complex in the Phoenix metro area. It's a bit of a drive out to Ft. McDowell, but so worth it with desert golf and views everywhere uninterrupted by houses. The Saguaro course is more walkable than Cholla, but a cart is recommended for both courses. Fantastic practice facility to warm up before a round.
Best golf course I have seen in the valley
Great course can't wait to play again
Tee boxes are difficult to tell colors, brighten the paint job. Also the purple and white markers were mixed on hole 15.
Played both courses, preferred Saguaro which was in much better shape, but would highly recommend both. Played 5 rounds in 3 days, both WeKoPA courses, TPC Stadium course, Troon N Pinnacle and Eagle Mountain. All nice but Saguaro was the best.
Restaurant staff was awful. Golf course was a great lay out but needs some work. You can't charge such ad they do and have very bunker be different. Some too much sand some way too little sand. This was not worth the money at all. On top of that restaurant staff was terrible.
